Trust me, it is NO easy task to get two adults, three kids under 12, and two dogs (a puppy and a senior) to get together in front of a camera - but Chad had plenty of strategies up his sleeve to pull it off! He took us to multiple different settings and got awesome shots of all seven of us together and apart each time. Not to mention he was responsive and prompt, easy to talk to, and had great energy with the dogs and kids - the kids said that he was their favorite photographer they've ever had! I am absolutely pleased with the way the were able to bring out our personalities and how professional they were throughout the event. I've got our pictures back now and they are good, but not fantastic. I wish they would have slowed down and organized pictures better. So, for instance, telling me to move my veil or hair into place or moving people into the group closer or to avoid blocking another person would have made our pictures much better. They took very, very, very few pictures of our guests and only 1-2 posed pictures of us with each set of family. We don't have any posed pictures with key people (even though we had some taken) because the pictures didn't come out well. The posed pictures we do have are too far zoomed out so the subjects of the photo make up only about 1/3 of the picture. Also, the pictures they gave us on a DVD were only 300ppi, and they become pretty pixelated when we tried to enlarge them.

For that reason, I've never head a professional head shot taken and recently needed one when photos of our team were requested for a corporate website. Johnny set up an appointment for myself and my colleagues to get head shots taken this past weekend. I wasn't sure what to expect or even what to wear. He made recommendations on the style of clothing, color based on our individual complexions, and pattern on the material. He even suggested we bring multiple blouses to have options for the shoot. The whole shoot (for me) literally look probably not more than 10 minutes. Johnny was great and funny and made me completely relaxed through the process. He sent his favorite photos of mine via email within 1 day for me to choose from. I chose my favorite of four and by the next day, I had a final version which was touched up for my immediate use online. He literally made a process I would normally find uncomfortable and painful -- painless! I highly recommend him and his work! I'm not a fan of the finished work. I found a Groupon online for Ron Parks Photography and went…read morewith it because the price seemed reasonable when compared to the shining reviews... but alas, you do get what you pay for. I hired Ron Parks as my photographer for my family maternity shoot. My initial phone conversation with Ron was great in that he went over the details for the day. We let him know that we wanted to shoot around the city of Georgetown, TX; he confirmed and also added that we could utilize his studio that was located above a coffee shop, as it had a huge window with a beautiful view and would make for nice silhouette photos. Ron also advised that we could have as many outfit changes as we wanted during the hour shoot. I couldn't wait for the day and told my husband and daughter to plan for at least one outfit change. The day of the shoot came and we waited for him in the coffee shop like he asked. Once he arrived, I thought it strange that we didn't initially go up to his studio to talk about the shoot or prep, but we went with it and began our family photo shoot around the beautiful city of Georgetown. After the first half of the shoot it was time for an outfit change. We weren't escorted to his studio, but instead, back to the coffee shop to use their restroom to change into our second outfits; my husband changed in the car. Odd, but the general experience of the shoot so far was enjoyable, so we continued. As we neared the end of the second half of the shoot, I asked Ron about his studio idea with the view and the silhouette pictures. He responded that we would have to climb a number of stairs to get to it and mentioned a few other things that deterred my decision to want to go to the studio to finish the shoot. On any other day I would have pushed the issue, but I didn't because I was 8 months pregnant, wearing heels and getting pretty tired. At the end of the shoot, Ron offered us another photo package in which we could purchase the entire shoot of over 100 photos for a reasonable price-- we purchased it. We were advised to give him about a week to send the full photo DVD that we purchased. After 3 weeks of no word, I sent him an email to check on the status; I was advised it was in the mail. Once we received the disc, my family and I sat down to review the (over 100) maternity shoot pictures. I was almost immediately unimpressed and disappointed in the quality, lighting, creativity, poses, and general look of the photos. In most of the photos around the city where we were positioned in front of windows, either Ron or a member of our party's reflection was in it. The results just did not strike us as inspired or professional in quality at all. Of all of the photos we paid for, we only liked about 6 of them. Overall, Ron's a very nice guy and we had a fun experience, but I would not choose to go with this company again for a significant photo shoot.
