Yesterday, we finally closed on our home in Christiansburg. Thanks to the amazing work Jeremy has done for us! We've been wanting to sell this house since we left Virginia. We've used a different realtor before who wasn't very helpful at all. It wasn't until sometime last year when our rental property manager (Aaron Harris Kirby from Pointe West Management) referred us to Jeremy when we tried to sell the house again. Back then, it was rather late in the season for selling and colder weather is rolling in. While our home sat empty after our last renter left and after we had made major repairs on it, we decided to try to sell it. But we also couldn't afford to let the house sit empty a few months and our chances of finding a renter is also getting slim. So, we had our home listed for "rent OR sale". And we told our property manager and Jeremy that whichever comes first, we'll take it. Jeremy totally respected our decision and although we also listed our home for rent, Jeremy still went above and beyond into aggressively trying to find us a buyer. Well, we got a renter soon thereafter and we informed Jeremy to remove our home from his listings. He gladly took it off and we told him we would like to attempt to sell it again towards the end of our tenant's contract this year. We were pleased to hear back from Jeremy again a few months after. He thought his in-laws might be interested in buying a property in the area and it's looking like our home would be a good fit for them. The fact that he contacted us meant that he still had our property in mind - that's a good realtor right there! Then, a few months before our tenant's lease is up, we heard back from Jeremy again. He sent us statistics on the area and he said our home is in the perfect position to sell. He asked us if we would like to start listing it earlier on (of course, with the cooperation and consent of our tenant). It worked out perfectly as our tenants are also buying their own home somewhere and they needed to break the lease earlier. In a week or so, we've had multiple viewings and some offers! Which, by the way, has never happened when we went with our previous realtor. In less than a month, our house sold and the offer we took was pretty close to our asking. Almost 7 years of trying to sell this home and we now finally got to end this ordeal! Thank God for the amazing work that Jeremy and his team has done for us!! We very HIGHLY recommend!!

You can keep your original payment amount if you sign for another 20+ months. Places want 60 days notice but competition for housing in Roanoke is very competitive. So for people who want to move their family into a house, you're expected to give a 60 day notice and find a house and pay multiple rents if you find something. Or if you can't find a house you're forced to sign a new lease that is 500$+ more than your original lease, or basically move to another apartment. Some people like the apartment life but for most it's a stepping stone to a house. I paid every month of my lease on time and completed my 12 month lease. The retreat sent me to collections for 2 extra months of rent after moving out. I've never had an issue moving out after a lease. I am a responsible tenant, Times are tough and now I have a 3500$ collection account on my credit report because of the retreat, you guys are terrible!

He not only represents this company so well, but he also was a huge factor we decided to sign a lease. Truly welcoming and as parents he really did an excellent job in making us feel that this is a great choice for our son's college home. Thank you Sherif for everything!! These homes offer quality and a safe place for our children to stay. The only office open on a Sunday was the Retreat, this tells me that our kids will always have someone if they need something. The grounds are very well maintained and the company supports the VT students by offering them jobs. The amenities are resort style and the cleanliness first class! Hailey, the manager made things so easy with completing the application and signing the lease online. She was extremely calm and polite in answering my questions over the phone. Thank you Haley! I have lived here in a townhouse for 9 years, (my own fault). I was in one of the apartments for 2…read moreyears before this which was in my son's name. I was there between flights while working. This is honestly THE WORST place I have ever lived in my life. The only reason I came here in the beginning is because Pebble Creek was full at the time. Little did I know what I would encounter and now I simply cannot deal with anymore. It's all I can take. There has been NO upkeep to this place in 9 years. I have a sliding door that doesn't lock and been this way 4 or 5 years. Maintenance comes and tweeks it with a screw driver and done this 3 or 4 different times, however never stays. Sliding door in the winter feels like you're pulling over 50 lbs because it's from the 1970s. Paint peeling off the walls, carpet coming up at the doorways, front door will not stay shut if it isn't locked because it won't latch, front door looks worse than the Projects but at least the government keeps them up. The rotten wood facing was painted, not sure why and it's now chipping away. This is all so sad and Bent Tree boasts with a sign about award winning property??? Shrubs are not trimmed in a timely manner and looks terrible not to mention the fact that they hurt your body when touched and letting them get too close to door causes pain when you have to get past them. Water heater blew up last week and it had to be replaced, (that couldn't be left with water running out so I caught it before it flooded the carpet. This kind of thing happens in all places. Glad I was here or it would have been really bad. They used a shop vac to get the water up at the area wet and gave me a fan to use to dry which it did. Left a small grease spot on the carpet but this is trivial by comparison. It is outrageous the incompetence of this company. You have been through 3 or 4 managers since I've been here. You just keep hiring losers. As far as maintenance goes, there is the only one here who really knows what he's doing. Everything gets a band-aid here and this is unacceptable. The manager here had scheduled someone to clean the spot in front of the heater mishap and the timing wasn't acceptable due to a doctor's appointment. We discussed it and decided the next Thursday would be good between 10-12 PM. Now here it is Thursday, 9/21/2017 and I've moved everything so carpet cleaner can do his job quickly and then they tell me it's the 28th, however I wasn't called back to tell me this even though the manager would argue that she did. Never happened. I cannot change appointments again and I will not have someone I do not know in here around my personal belongings. I have tried to take care of everything the best I can with no upgrades at all. It's very depressing to say the least. The new manager hired is still learning I suppose what a mess this place is and I suspect the owner has a lot to do with it. Frugal is one thing but cheap and greedy is another. They come here and put a piece on the faucets that sprays and doesn't run so therefore it uses less water which I'm sure was what the owner wanted but it splatters all the way to the floor and makes a terrible mess, constantly wiping down everything (unless you turn it down like an airplane lavatory). There is so much more but I doubt if this will matter anyway. Just keep renting to the unsavory people you have been and the good ones will leave. Police are here at least once a week. I just don't feel safe anymore here or comfortable in anyway. Management is unacceptable. It isn't just me. I won't call maintenance on weekends unless a dire emergency. I try to be considerate to their life as well. I've tried to put up with it and lasted longer than most smart people. It's difficult to have to move, all the packing and expense . I had a melt down today with the manager. I yelled at her because she tried to defend her mistake. She did not tell me the correct carpet cleaning date and I know this for a fact, no email regarding it or any communication as a business should do.. I cancelled appointment and moved things. Not thinking much of F&W right now and for a long time. Just kept hoping it would get better. Doesn't look like this will happen so I will be leaving in the not too distant future. Good luck trying to rent units because my google review will make them run. Sorry it has to be this way but I have never had to encounter such things as I have here. Allison was so nice and accommodating. She even recommended some places nearby for me to visit. Gricelda was the cleaning specialist and was amazing! She did a great job the entire time of my stay. The people in the building are also nice and greeted me daily. It was a great experience being away from home. There's a library, shops, and restaurants within walking distance! Made it even more convenient for a traveler like myself. This was overall at 10/10 experience and I will book here whenever I'm in town. You can see Mountain star from the balcony which was a plus!!
