I was very disappointed in the service. I needed brackets hanging in my closet. Brad assured me there should be no problem everything will hold in its place with no problem. Two days later, my clothes fell the brackets came off the wall. I called if they will back and redo the job i was told by Angela I need to pay an additional minimum of $250 again. Unsatisfactory work and poor customer service. Would not fix their errors or consider warranty. Lyndee stated, "We will have to decline any additional work..." Josh did not listen to the voice of the customer regarding repairs (8/21/2020). He was instructed to replace the existing front screen door with the same style. Which included a kick plate. Instead, the new screen door was 100% screen, lower standard/cheap, very poor quality, missing kick plate, and not what I requested. It cost $120.25 (screen door) and $141.12 (material). Total $261.37 for a door that now must be replaced. Lastly, they charged $104.34 for 3 - gutter splash blocks which he placed under the gutter. Completely unacceptable and we will never use their services again. read more

This business does not stand behind their work or their promises. They actually caused more damage to our home then the hurricane damage I hired them to repair. They used an old ladder without rubber feet and dragged furniture with a metal frame across the tile rather than lifting it as it should have been and caused permanent damaged a tile floor and did not have the proper equipment or experience to complete the work they bid on. Once they received a payment they refused to complete and honor their promised performance or repair the damages their careless technician caused. I would never recommend them to anyone and would say run as fast as you can in the other direction!! Our only recourse was to sue or file another claim for the damage they caused and pay a second deductible. I hope our insurance company subrogates and takes them to court! read more

**Update** - The owner, Chad, reached out to us the day following this review and expressed concern over our experience with his company. He wanted to discuss the details and openly acknowledged his company failed to meet expectations and he saw it as an opportunity to learn and promote growth. I explain to Chad I had previously expressed my concerns to his staff prior to this review, however it was learned break downs in communication led to him not receiving or acting on my concerns. During our phone call, Chad presented professional, concerned and a man with conviction. He explained the corrective actions he had already taken and those he was going to take with his staff and with me in the coming days. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the response I received. I have amended my review and we will likely give Chad The Handyman company another try in the near future. Not impressed. Would not recommend! Out $265.00 for them to cut hole in the ceiling, tell me they could not do the repairs and have them return later and patch that hole. Hired Chad The Handyman service to evaluate a water leak mark on the kitchen ceiling and re-seat a bathroom vanity mirror which was leaning away from the wall. The tech cut a hole in the kitchen ceiling, was unable to determine what repairs were needed, and advised us he was unable to fix it. This same tech took a quick look at the bathroom vanity mirror and advised us he could not repair that either. No recommendations, referrals or any other assistance from them. I ended up traveling down there, figured the water mark on the ceiling was the result of condensation dripping from the A/C refrigerant line. A trip to the hardware store for supplies and I made the repairs myself. Replaced a section of the pipe insulation on the A/C line and installed mirror clips on the vanity mirror and everything is good now. Chad The Handyman touts themselves as a handyman service with 25+ years of experience and they handle almost all projects. Their website also claims they handle A/C repair and replacement. Don't buy into this! They certainly did not demonstrate this during my service call. I made the repairs they claim they could not and I have little prior home repair experience. i was also charged two service call fees of $40 (initial and return visit) even though they never fixed anything! The incompetence that was demonstrated is concerning and disappointing. I was seeking a handyman service i could use now and in the future and they are definitely not getting any more of my business. Update from previous review I was sent an invoice from from Chad for work that was never done...I think...???? Told me they did not work on wood framed houses, which I discussed in previous review, and now I have an invoice for work they did on my garage????? When I called in they said that I had signed both the quote and invoice, the quote did have a signature but sure as hell wasn't my signature, oh and also said they had a date on when the work was done???? So a few things may be happening here...the forging of signatures and trying to get paid for doing no work at all (I will be diving deep into this one), or did they really go back to my house without permission and do work (which is completely unacceptable and unprofessional). Any way you look at this it is completely wrong...I will be exploring all my options and here and taking whatever route is needed to get to the bottom of this, I will be sure to update. Painful. My experience has been so bad, long and painful that it is difficult to put into words in this review. If you enjoy getting jerked around and then given irrelevant excuses by Chad that have nothing to do with you as the customer, this is the service to use. Hi I would like to tell you about my GREAT experience I had when using Chad the Handyman service. We had new windows installed 2 years ago in our condo on Ft.Myers Beach, and they were out of warrenty for the install.( We only had 1 week to find someone with a tall enough ladder to get the job done )Two of my windows were leaking and creating severe wall damage. Matt was able to come out access the problem and figure out the solution. After caulking and replacing screws that were missing the leaking stop. He was also able to replace/repair the damaged drywall and match the "feathering" on the wall. From the time I called them it was over 2 days ( Drywall had to dry out ) On both visits they were 2 hours earlier then scheduled. (no beach time lost) I would highly recommend them and if you can ask for Matt do it. He took the time to explain everything not to mention show me exactly what he found and what the fix would be.
