I had an appointment this afternoon for Dr.Pratt to examine a very sensitive area of my gum. I had already explained to the tech that I had a cleaning 2 weeks ago and it was fine after she gave me novacaine. I asked her to tell Dr. Pratt that I needed novacaine prior to examination. Either she didn't do it or he ignored it. He came in and sat down without a hello or any greeting. At that time I asked to be numbed and he refused. He then took the explorer to look in my mouth and pulled my gum down hard with his gloved thumb. His thumbnail was deep into the area of pain. I asked again to have it numbed. He threw his instrument down and said "I'm done". Dr. Pratt acted like a petulant child. His immaturity astounded me. He does not listen to his patients. He does not care to explain anything. I would seriously consider another dentist. If you were at all thinking of Dr. Pratt. I have been a nurse for over 40 years and have never seen that kind of treatment of a doctor to a patient. I don't think I've ever seen that childlike anger from a Healthcare provider. read more

It is nearly 4 years since we have been visiting Dr. Pratt's practice, even though his office is about 45 minutes drive for us. He has one of the most up to date technology in his office. During the early days of pandemic when every thing was closed in 2020, I broke one of my ceramic crowns on a weekend day. When I wrote to him on his website, his office gave me an 8::00 AM special appointment on Monday morning to fix my tooth. By the way, he came to office with his assistant just to work on my tooth and apparently another patient who had some issue too. That is to me, compassion. We also like their higenists at his practice. He is honest and reasonable in his charges. read more

Took my son here for the first time because a coworker recommended them as one of our preferred providers for our health insurance. Chipped front tooth, in and out in 20 minutes with a repaired tooth and no copay. The office staff and dentist were all quite personable and EAGLES fans....lol.... I've been going here for years and everything seemed great. Then I needed a tooth drilled out quite a bit and a crown put in. I had nothing but problems with it after that. The crown came loose when I flossed, came out once at this office while the hygienist was flossing my teeth and they just put it back in. After a few months of it being in, it hurt when I ate on that side. I went back to Dr Scott twice for this issue and he said it's probably just malocclusion from my teeth hitting the crown weird and he did some dremeling of the crown and other fillings and sent me on my way, problem not resolved each time. Well I moved out of state so can't go back now even if I wanted to. The second night in our new place I noticed more intense pain on that side, again only when eating. I went to a new dentist here and she found an abscess under that tooth, half the crown has now broken off and my root is exposed. The tooth behind it also has a cavity *under* the filling, with the cavity being close to the nerve so.. I need one and possibly two root canals now thanks to the negligence of this dentist. read more

I've been going to this office for over 3 years since I switched from my DE dentist. My family & I are happy because of the care & he has a great office staff & we have never been overcharged. I always feel comfortable waiting & the wait is never long. My daughter was visiting from Florida, had broken a crown & Dr Pratt did a great repair that she is happy with. I have mixed feelings about this place. Pros: [] Super-friendly hygienist staff [] If you need a crown, they make the crown right there on the spot in their CEREC machine, so you never have to deal with having a temporary [] Dr. Pratt is young and funny, and when it's slow he's fun to BS with. [] Their rates are reasonable, and they can get you in quickly if you have an emergency. [] They have high-tech equipment, and if you're a gadget freak you'll enjoy geeking out over their stuff [] Fun sports memorabelia on the walls [] Good books / magazines in the waiting room Cons: [] They don't have nitrous; if you're an anxious patient, you lose. [] I had three crowns done in 2006; I just had to have all three crowns replaced by a different dentist because they were all placed incorrectly. 0 for 3... come on, folks. (See my review for "Simply Beautiful Smiles" for my new dentist.) [] One of those three crowns never should have happened; I was given a root canal on the wrong tooth! (Which I actually suspected during the appointment but didn't speak up... I mean, I'm not a dentist.) So I had to have two root canals done in the same week. NOT COOL. Also: No apology. So, if your teeth are in good shape and you just need a routine cleaning, this place will serve you fine. If you're looking for nitrous or restorative work (crowns, root canals, fillings), you might wanna go somewhere else. ** Note: It's kinda hard to find the place if you're coming from the south. I recommend that you take 202 North and bang a left on Hillman Drive, and then a right onto Dickinson. They'll be the last office complex on your left before you hit Route 1. read more

I contacted Dr. Pratt a couple of weeks ago to get a second opinion on some of my teeth that my previous dentist had advised me to get a root canal on one and an extraction/implant on the other which I thought sounded a little extreme. After a consult, Dr. Pratt told me that in his opinion it sounded a little aggressive in treatment especially because those teeth weren't showing the signs of needing that work done. This was exactly my feeling on it, so I am glad that I got his opinion. I just had everything fixed on those two teeth in one visit and it went great! Dr. Pratt walked me through everything as he was doing it so it really put me at ease. It was really cool to see all the technology that he uses and how quickly he could get the crowns milled on the Cerec machine. It was amazing that he could get all that done in one visit. On top of that, Dr. Pratt is really personable and I can tell that he really cares about his patients and doing what is the best option for each situation. I like that he does the work himself, where my previous dentist was a large practice and someone different was working on you each time. His staff is also extremely friendly, yet very professional and organized. Something I wasn't getting at my old dentist. I already requested my records from my old dentist and now will only be going to Dr. Pratt. I highly recommend him - he's the best! read more

I visited here on the advice of a friend who is a permanent patient of Dr. Andrew Pratt. I have vaneers on my upper teeth and one had come loose, for the second time!! Hoping to avoid my last experience, I saw Dr. Pratt. They were good enough to see me same-day and I was fixed-up in no-time. Dr. Pratt was professional and nice, though a bit frigid, all business, no effort to put me at ease or speak to me at all, no introduction, etc.. This may just be indicative of the folks in this area of Pennsylvania, but a little bedside manner goes a long way. Still, I was seen short notice and for that I'm grateful. read more

Dr. Pratt is the best. After 25 years cavity free, I got one at 26. I had a good run. Dr. Pratt and his staff are so friendly and down to earth. They dont make you feel bad because you dont floss as much as you should(guilty) and they constantly make sure you are comfortable. I would/have recommended them to all of my family and friends. Dr. Pratt was professional, did a good job, did not speak much though. When I walked out, the front-desk lady asked me to pay. Since I was feeling a little dizzy, I asked her if she could send me the bill, and she said, " You have the tooth already, you need to pay now". There are many ways to explain the office policy, but this is not one of them. read more

What a great office, I had a previously very bad experience at another West Chester dentist but the staff, dental hygienist and dentist were all wonderful. I did not feel anxiety when going through the appointment and had great experience. Had a great and easy cleaning and then a relatively easy check up from the Dentist. read more

A wonderful office -- everyone is super nice and they are very good at what they do. I have never had to wait for long for my appointments. They are very knowledgeable on all of the newest treatments and never push you to do what they want. A great dentist! read more

Let me start by saying I don't think there is anyone out there who has more issues with Dentists and Needles than ME! Now with that said I cannot thank Dr. Pratt enough for his skilled service and considering the fact that I got 3 cavities filled all at once. Yes, I know floss better. This office is run very efficiently, exuding a highly professional atmosphere, but without any lack of courtesy, congeniality, and comfort. Dr. Pratt is very knowledgeable and practical -- he'll put off treatments that can be put off, if the patient agrees; or he'll be persuasive when it's time to bite the bullet and get something done. Due to my heavy bruxism, I've had a history of losing inlays and crowns, but every time, Dr. Pratt has replaced them at no or minimal charge.
