Chagrin Valley Antiques is a rare gem! We have been coming to the store since I was little. We are…read morealways warmly greeted by Tom and Diana as if we are family coming to visit them. They specialize in 17th-19th century antiques. Additionally, Tom and Diana work with local artists too. Every nook and cranny of the store is filled with awesome antiques and folk art pieces. My mom and I stopped by Chagrin Valley Antiques in search of fall decorations. I was enchanted by the numerous fall guords. My favorite was the headless pumpkin guord, reminding me of Ichabod Crane. He came in two sizes for $58 or $105. When we have bought guords in the past from Tom & Diana, they last for many, many years. On this shopping trip, we found a fall leave wreath for our front door for $38. You can feel Tom and Diana's love of Americana throughout the store. You cannot find this American art and craftsmanship anywhere else!

Passport To Peru is located on the true corner of E. Washington Street and is a fair trade clothing and gift shop supporting small global makers. I've been to the Passport To Peru in Coventry but never left with much of an impression. However, I LOVED this Passport To Peru location. The vibe is so great and much warmer and interesting. This global inspired boutique carries bohemian wares and accessories and you can fall down a rabbit hole pretty quickly of looking at beautiful things. I don't pay much mind to the clothes (the sizes are all pretty small), but I love all the gifts they carry. I purchased a beautiful handmade dreamcatcher from a women's collective in New Mexico, a vibrant scarf with foxes on it and a goddess inspired art print for a friend. This is a wonderful spot to shop in when you want to pick up something special for yourself or need a one-of-a-kind gift with meaningful roots.
