This isn't a catch-all antique shop where you're afraid that one misstep will knock an entire pile of junk from an overcrowded shelf. Rather, Reincarnation is a carefully and artistically curated near-museum of a shop. I was in awe of the floor-to-ceiling flat-file shelving unit. I seriously would have purchased it if I had space for it. I ended up leaving with some fun trinkets that I'll be gifting for Christmas: a keychain made from an Ohio license plate, a goat's milk cap magnet, and two antique chandelier crystal ornaments for the Christmas tree. According to my friend, this place is always changing (in a good way). They'll rearrange as new pieces come in. I love the setup, as I thought it highlighted the unique pieces perfectly. What a cool hidden gem in CLE.

This is a one-stop-shop for everything I love about interior design. I love projects and these folks must as well, since they find amazing, unfinished, industrial pieces and mix them with soft, antique lines. It all comes together into something perfect. It took only one visit of 10 minutes to convince my boyfriend and I to make an appointment to come back and discuss custom pieces. They also happen to be one of the more long-standing local boutiques in the city. I recently dropped in at their Tremont location after walking around in the midst of winter in Tremont, and developing a need for gloves. AMBIANCE: Banyan Tree currently has an inviting window display with a word "Joy." The storefront has two spacious rooms that feel cozy. Inside you'll find wood accents, and a comfy couch to recline while shopping. Checkout is available in the first room as you walk into the space. INVENTORY: The inventory is predominantly women's fashion. You'll find a unifying theme - comforting fabrics, sparkles, and lots of hand-knit accessories. The best way to describe the vibe is lounge chic. The clothes you'll find here will allow you maximum comfort as you venture out in Tremont and beyond. The clothing looks well made and unique while following the latest trends. The prices are on the higher end starting at about $90 something. Accessories are reasonably priced starting at $20 something. I'm not fully satisfied with the clothing inventory because the sizes go up to L and one size. I wear a plus size so I can only drool while looking at the clothing. I wish that I could also shop here and enhance my wardrobe. In that way, sizing is not inclusive. There are also smaller gifts and accessories at the store - journals, books, purses, statues, and more. Few categories have sales - ornaments and summer clothing. The sale is 40% off. MY PURCHASE: I purchased knit gloves from Banyan Tree. The price was $22. The brand is Figwood, was designed by Banyan Tree in Cleveland. It is a brand exclusive to Banyan Tree. It was sustainably produced in Bali. Imagine someone in Bali knitting gloves and knowing nothing about our winters. I find this very endearing. There are plenty other Figwood items for purchase that are made in Bali and Thailand. The gloves have a simple design but are chunky. They also have top of the glove removal so that you don't have to de-glove every single time. I found other glove designs to be awkward. They were missing top part of the fingertips which seems like the very reason you'd glove. Maybe I'm not on trend. They also have very few gloves in store due to the end of season. Seems like the season is just beginning and winter is ramping up. SERVICE: The service is attentive and personalized. I was offered assistance with glove shopping. The sales associate was really warm and friendly. I enjoyed my experience at the store. Unfortunately, I'll probably seldom stop in because the clothing sizes are not accommodating to me. I'll visit once in a while if I'm ever in need of well made accessories or gifts. Most importantly, the store is a feel good store in terms of supporting consciously made clothing and supporting women across the globe.

I always get compliments when I'm wearing something from Banyan Tree. They have an online store if like me you don't live in the Cleveland area. Their store is worth visiting though if you are in town. It's quite spacious and is located near some great restaurants, bars, and galleries if you want to make a day of it in Tremont.

Most of the furniture and artwork leaned toward the pricier side, as you'd expect, but still very reasonable for what they were. The size of this place is what really blew me away. It spans four floors, each packed with a massive variety of treasures to dig through. You'll find everything from jewelry, furniture, and vintage clothing to records, comic books, cameras, and antique household items. Just when you think you've seen it all, another room or section opens up with even more to explore--it's like the store never stops unfolding. The staff at the front counter was incredibly welcoming. They immediately struck up a friendly conversation with us and even tossed out a few compliments, which added a personal touch to the experience. This is the kind of place that surprises you--you may not know what you're looking for, but you'll likely leave with something perfect. Whether you're a collector, a casual browser, or just looking for a fun afternoon adventure, this place is definitely worth the visit.

After my first visit, I've been back so many times for poetry reading, intimate concerts, women's circle, markets and shopping. This place makes so exited every single time. I want to tell the world all about it. AMBIANCE: The shop has exposed brick walls, gorgeous wall shelves with treasures, vintage furniture, and two rooms of home decor. The space is so perfectly staged that you can walk in, feel at home, and envision how the pieces would fit into your own home. The atmosphere is always peaceful, time just stands still here. INVENTORY: There's so much treasure here - furniture (mostly couches), comfy blankets, home decor, books, palo santo, cards, candles, and accessories. The pieces seem expertly selected and are in great condition. During my many visits I found all kinds of gems - earrings, palo santo, and more. Prices are somewhere in the middle between thrift and vintage. You can always find budget-friendly items. Shopping is available in person, online, and on Etsy. SERVICE: Service here is like hugging your hands around a hot cup of tea. Very warm and friendly. One of the owners Chelsea always remembers you, and strikes up a conversation. I always feel so welcome in this space and greatly appreciate the hospitality. EVENTS: The store hosts book clubs with Novel Enrichment generally reading very moody and refined literature. They also host various intermittent events - intimate concerts and floral workshops. You can find events listed on their Instagram. I will most definitely visit again and look for treasure. I've been eyeing a few blankets. Stop in for an ultimate vintage experience with moody vibes and lots of unique pieces.

I stopped in because last year I bought "witchy woman" beanie, and wanted something new and cute for the fall. I had my eye on bookish advent calendar. Unfortunately, the owner circled me like an eagle for my duration at the store, then stood at the entrance just staring at me. I have no idea what it is that I did to cause this reaction. I've been to the store plenty of times before and had positive experience. I also visit and know many vintage vendors in the area. The whole experience just didn't sit well with me. I decided to not purchase anything because this type of behavior shouldn't be supported. It was uncalled for and unpleasant. I won't be returning. CS Folk (formerly BB Folk) calls itself a general store. General store means that you'll find all kinds of goodies here - home decor, trendy clothing, food items, and accessories. The store is in the stretch of Ohio City that's known for its vintage and thrift stores. Go to this store especially when you want unique gifts. INVENTORY: The store's inventory includes lots of cool clothing merchandise from local makers. For instance, I found a very fitting "witchy woman" hat at this store. Other merchandise that always gets me excited see home decor and wall art. There is an expansive shelf with refined decor. Prices are pretty reasonable considering the uniqueness. SERVICE: I found all staff to be very chatty and friendly. Always welcoming atmosphere. PARKING: Find street parking along Lorain Avenue and in the surrounding streets. It never tends to be busy in the area. EVENTS: The store collaborates with its neighbors - Table for 2, Recreational Pots and Plants for sidewalk markets. They're always fun and involved plenty of local makers. I highly recommend visiting the next market. I always love wandering into this store and tend to gravitate toward beanies and clothing. I hope to drop in again next weekend to treat myself.

I finally visited this jewelry and boutique store on a Sunday in April 2023. They have limited hours and I can never visit during the week when I'm working so I'm glad that I finally came to visit. I believe I bought something small as a gift for someone when I originally visited but I can't remember as I'm writing this review over a year later. I didn't realise that Océanne opened a second store location in 2021 in the Pinecrest mall on the east side and they also now have a Westlake location (Crocker Park Mall) which opened in 2024. This first location in the Gordon Square neighbourhood of Cleveland opened in October 2017. ITEMS -- They sell various items from vegan nail polish, cute shirts and dresses, candles, mason jar cups, hats, books, sweaters, baby clothes, and of course, jewellery. Their jewellery is made right there, in-house. Customer service was wonderful when I first visited in April 2023 - the employee working answered my questions and she was very friendly. I visited recently again in December 2024 just to browse the store but I didn't buy anything. The Femme Libre (free woman) t-shirt looks cute. ABOUT THE OWNER -- "Born in southern France, Anne's journey led her to Cleveland in 2002, where she married Doc Harrill. In 2006, with her husband's support, she established Océanne, blending French elegance with the vibrancy of the American Midwest. Each meticulously crafted piece reflects Anne's commitment to craftsmanship, comfort, and functional beauty. From minimalist to whimsical designs, Océanne's jewelry is an expression of individuality, helping clientele look good, feel good, and do good. The brand gained popularity in Cleveland, leading to the opening of the Gordon Square storefront in 2017 and a second at Pinecrest in 2021." I can't wait to visit again and purchase a small piece of jewelry. **** GOAL of 365 reviews in 2025 - 13/365 total reviews in 2025 - 794 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 1 January 2025
