I scheduled a call and got a confirmation, but on the day of the appointment, no one called me. I followed up about an hour later and was told the rep had an emergency, so we rescheduled for two days later. The same thing happened again. It's now been over an hour past the scheduled time and still no call or communication. At this point, it feels like the free consultation doesn't really mean much if they can't even show up or follow through. This is supposed to be the stage where they make a good first impression, and unfortunately that didn't happen. One hour later, I had a call back, after I left a message canceling the initial consult. The business could have handled this better. I had my initial discussion with Navjeet. He was knowledgeable and thorough in his responses. He explained me how his firm can help us with our tax situation. Our tax situation has become a little complicated. I thought it will be helpful to file it through professionals and their reviews are great on Yelp. We decided to file through his firm. We worked with someone who was helpful and responsive. We filed our 2019 tax return and had to pay about the same amount that we were expecting when we were getting estimates with turbotax. Regardless, it had been a good experience so far. After filing our tax return, I got a letter from California state that we owed more money on 2019 tax return. I thought we must have missed something and paid the amount. Three months later, I got a letter from IRS, that we owed additional money on 2019 tax return. I called IRS after getting a second letter the following month. I am still working with IRS to resolve the issue. It has been messy dealing with all of it. I was really hoping to find a firm that can help us with our tax filings permanently. However after all this, I am frustrated. I will have to look for someone else next year. read more

Because of stellar yelp reviews I decided to hire Chahal and Associates to file for 2017 returns. The customer onbording was very good and I had great first impression. The taxes were paper filed but after filing I discovered a accounting mistake done by the staff member. I called and pointed out the issue to the staff and requested to file the amendment, which they acknowledged. However, I was told that I don't need to refile the tax returns as amendment but just another e-file would suffice since efile is processed much faster and IRS would ignore my paper returns that were posted earlier. However, it was false information. It turns out that in my case IRS accepted the paper returns as the lastest as the most recent and ignored the efiled returns. IRS started sending me letters to fix the returns. I tried to contact Chahal and associates multiple times and sent them IRS letters that I received. My emails were ignored and phone calls not returned. I ended up paying again and hiring another CPA to fix the tax returns and file an amendment to get squared with IRS. Unfortunately my experience with Chahal and associates was not worthy of five stars. read more
