We had a lovely visit for afternoon tea this week. We visited one hour before closing and it was not too busy but were told that they would be closing soon when we came in. I would say service is more hands off as we had to ask for menu and check instead of it being proactively offered. We did not even know we had a dessert still to be selected when we asked for our bill. However, the sandwiches and the scones were yummy and warm and Thai oolong we tried was new and flavorful. read more

The chicken Caesar salad was the best I have ever had. The warm chicken on top was perfectly prepared, the salad was delicious with an amazing Caesar dressing. My son had the English Afternoon tea number 2 which he raved over. They offer a lovely selection of teas. Can't wait to go back again. read more

As we searched through the narrow, winding streets of Gamla Stan for the perfect souvenirs and hidden gems of art and architecture to photograph, we stumbled upon a tiny tea house nestled into the bottom floor of an ancient building. Sweden has a national preference for coffee over tea, so it was quite surprising to us to find a tea house. A pleasant surprise, as the sky had turned grey and light drizzle had begun to fall. We stepped into the cheery tearoom out of the afternoon chill and found it pleasantly warm and bright. Like so much in Stockholm, it was decorated sparsely with plenty of blank wall visible between ornaments, and the tables were wooden and bare of dressing cloths. The seating, however, was quite comfortable, and the selection of available teas and accompanying pastry were ample. We were not hungry enough for a full high tea service, so we ordered just the smallest side of buns with clotted cream and preserves. The buns were slightly softer than traditional British scones, but they paired well with the clotted cream and the preserves. We each got a pot of tea, though we ended up having to switch since Raz got a pot that was naturally too sweet for him, and flavored heavily with rose. My traditional oolong was much more his speed, and rose is my favorite flavor, so all was ideal after the switch. The only thing that marred the experience of slowing our roll with a leisurely cup of tea was the tight-packing of the tables in the tiny, seventeenth century rooms. I realize that the establishment does need to have enough seating to allow extra patrons so that what is essentially a leisurely practice to remain profitable. However, when I have to move both my table and the one next to it until they are each touching the table to the far side of them, and I still have to turn sideways to slip out between tables, there has to be a fire code violated somewhere. read more

Cute tea cafe in old town Stockholm. Minutes walk from the palace and other attractions. There are many teas to choose from, with sandwiches, desserts, and full afternoon tea spread available. The price you pay only gets you one pot of tea, no refills. The food is fairly large portioned. Service is pleasant. read more

We were pleasantly surprised when dropping in due to rain. I had the toast with duck, goat cheese, tomatoes, walnuts and arugula. It was delicious. We had the smoked earl grey tea which came plentiful in a pot. This is a hidden gem!!! read more

We loved getting high tea here! They have a several variations of afternoon tea sets to choose from, take reservations, and have a huge, high-quality tea selection. Highly recommend for a girls night out, a birthday celebration, or just a fun afternoon outing. Okay, so it's not the same as the British variety, but you're not in the UK. read more

My friends and I tried the larger version of English Afternoon tea. Since I'm kind of picky when it comes to food the first part (mini sandwiches) didn't fit me that well. The scones and pie was very nice though (part two and three). I was also able to change the tea-part for mineral water. The staff was very polite and there was no rush between the dishes or for us to leave. There were some tables occupied when we arrived. Overall a nice experience. read more

Chaikhana are especially good at high-quality indian black teas. They also import flavoured teas from Mariage Fréres, which are among the best flavoured teas you can find. However, this is not the place to buy cheap tea. read more

Really great tea house- the tea is great, the menus are delicious and a bit expensive but still worth it. The atmosphere is good too but a bit of background music would do so much as well as some textiles to make it less sterile- it could be so much more cozy. Have been here several times and really love their idea about a tea house.The only real negative is the waiters who perhaps as a result of incompetence are not very welcoming or proffesional- I would hire some new people as this really brings the place down. Calm Tea shop with champagne on the menu. Nice prices and a dachsund named Max seals the deal! Tucked away but definately worth finding!

Great place to fika, tucked away in Old Town. The French press coffee is my favorite!
