Very cute cafe in Södermalm! Clean and spacious. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Great selection of brunch/dinner items, desserts, and coffee. Friendly staff. Nice place to study, do work, grab a bite, hang out, etc.

Fantastiskt god och generös sallad med tonfisk och spenat! Very tasty and generous salad with tuna and spinach!

Even though being Swedish I will write this recommendation in English so everyone can read it :) mostly because there are a few good breakfast places in Stockholm (with healthy, priceworthy food) that are worth mentioning and Kaférang is one of them! It's located at Nytorget (on "Söder"), which is perfect during spring/summer/autumn for eating outdoors in the park in front of the café or just sitting outside on their wodden bench! Inside it's a feeling of New York meets Stockhom both in terms of interior and the people. A mix of locals and freelancers working out of office like me. Yes, there is free wi-fi. But back to why I really like this place! It's the acai bowl! For you who have not tried this yet and enjoy healthy options for breakfast then look no further!! The super berry (acai) is mixed perfectly here (which is hard to do, since most places use frozen acai) and they have added cacao that gives a better taste together with granola, banana and mango! Believe me, I have tried many acai bowls and Stockholm is still far behind the juice bars in the US. (Peeled Juice Bar in Chicago is amazing and Juice Generation in New York to mentioning a few). But Kaferang is the closest right now in Stockholm!! :) They also have organic oat meal and other stuff. Hope they keep it up. We need it!! I don't even live near the Coffee shop and take the subway & bus for breakfast here, that pretty much says it all ;)

So we were here for a brunch on a Sunday. I wanted to order their acai bowl but they said that they don't serve breakfast after 10:30 & it was already 11a.m. So we ordered pancakes, scones & a pumpkin bruschetta. The service wasn't the best I have seen so far, we had to wait 40 min after we ordered to be served, the place was pretty busy but you would think that a big cafe like that should be able to handle the busy hour better, although we did get a free coffee refill when we asked. Then the scones was served cold & we had to ask them to heat it up which they clearly put in the microwave & it got very soft. They were not very fresh either even though they charge you 65 SEK for it. The pancake was pretty nice & served with only maple syrup & no cream or anything else. But the pumpkin bruschetta was AWESOME! The interesting combination of ingredients, flavors & freshness was beyond my expectations! The late & cappuccino that we were served were also very good. When it comes to the prices I don't think you get so much value for what you pay here.

Brunch is served all day here! Plus, they have a lot of outside tables to this is great on a nice day. Menus are available in English & Swedish, and the staff is very nice. Portions are large, and there is adequate options for vegetarians.

I went for the breakfast! Worth the money and I loved the design, both in the café and how they served their food.

As I am a tourist, I got that crazy milkshake with a cinnamon bun on top of it just for good measure of course. The cinnamon buns in Sweden are obviously exceptional as they originated from there- crunchy on the outside and warm, melted, soft cinnamon goodness on the inside. The waffles are delicious as well, regardless of which waffle you get. All in all, this is a great place to go to if you're visiting Stockholm!

I'm not sure what Swedish waffles and 1950s diners have in common, but this place makes it work for sure. We came in on a Sunday morning, and were able to get seated right away. My cousin and I both had the raspberry waffle with whipped cream (75 sek, approx $8USD.). The waffle was perfectly crispy and the jam was delicious, but it wasn't a particularly filling for the price, really just a treat. They had fancier offerings as well, for a bit more money, as well as savory combinations. I overheard from a neighboring table that you can order a waffle with both whipped cream and ice cream. Where was this information when I was ordering? Oh well, next time. I would visit Älskade Traditioner again, but perhaps only for dessert. Alternatively I may try one of their savory options for a full meal.
