That persistence felt invasive and confirmed that this was never about making things right, only about damage control. Once I received the refund, I blocked her number. Paid $85 for the combo Palm, tarot, and psychic reading didn't say much that I hadn't already already knew. Kept saying "baby" to me a lot and that made me feel weird. I don't usually leave one-star reviews, but I thought this might be helpful to anyone on the fence... The character limit also made me cut out the beginning of the story, FYI. In Lynn's defense, I am a very difficult person to read. People see me and assume a lot of things, so it's very easy for me to tell in the first few minutes if they know what they're doing or not. But the way she treated me was absolutely a problem. I'm a pretty soft-spoken person. I'll say sorry to a pen I dropped on the floor. But when I very nicely responded to her requests for reassurance with, "Well, I think most people would feel that way," suddenly she became defensive. "Do you know who my client is?" she asked. Wait, what? Did I mishear her? Or do I not understand the question? I was like, "What...?" and she said, "Beyonce Knowles." I started to say, "Oh--" when she cut me off. She loudly told me that she's been doing this for a long time, and everyone gives her positive reviews, and that if I want to tell her that everyone feels a certain way, or if she's not getting the right vibes from me, it's because of my negative energy, and that I'm not letting her in. I tried to respond to her, but she cut me off again. "I'm just telling you like it is. You don't want my help, I can't force you to do anything." I calmly told her that I was looking for more specific information, not just generalities. She was like, "I told you specifically that you came from a good family!" And I told her, "Well, you were wrong!" And she said, "No, I mean your ancestors were good. You come from a good ancestral line." I was like, How am I supposed to validate that information? From my great-great grandparents? She also told me she could tell me what age I would die. Uh, no thanks. What benevolent helper of humankind would tell someone that information? And the only way we would know if she was right or wrong was after we died, right? I never raised my voice to her, but she kept shouting over me, and kept leaning over the desk to get in my face. I told her that she wouldn't let me speak, and that she was steamrolling over me. She was like, "So you're telling me I'm a scam artist?" I was like, "No!" She told me, "Get out. Get out of here now. I don't want you in my place of business." and so I silently collected my things and moved toward the door. She walked quicker than I did and blocked my way, and her hand was on the key that was locking the door. She started to tell me that I needed to sign something so that I wouldn't post a negative review. I told her calmly that I wasn't signing anything, and to please not block the door since she told me to get out. She asked me, "Are you going to leave a negative review?" and I said, "I don't know if I will or not." And she said, "Since I'm not making you pay, you're not allowed to leave a negative review." I told her, "You told me to get out. If you want to call the police, I'll wait here." And she said she would call the authorities. So I walked back away from the door and stood awkwardly in the room. Then she said she would be right back, and when she returned, she brought her husband with her. Her husband was much more rational and kept apologizing for the situation, while Lynn herself was walking back and forth erratically, sometimes yelling at me from a short distance, or sometimes getting right in my face and telling me that she's just trying to help me. But that I had to sign a paper to say that I wouldn't leave her a negative review, or she would have to take my credit card information and charge me for the session if I did. I told her that I had intended on paying her for her time, but since she told me to literally get out, she kind of forfeited that customer-business relationship. I said if she wanted to call the police, I would wait there so they could mediate. Lynn and Giovanni (sp?) kept saying that they weren't like that, but they needed me to just sign a paper to say I wouldn't leave a negative review. I said that I wasn't comfortable signing anything, but that if I was being detained here, I could wait for the authorities. Lynn said, "I'm just trying to help you. You need love in your life. What happened? Mental, physical, emotional abuse? If your mom and dad didn't love you, you need to get love from somewhere!" I was like... Wow, that sounds like a cheap shot to me. I've had lackluster experiences with some other psychics, but I have always paid them and thanked them for their time. They are usually so positive and kind that I would never dream of writing them negative reviews. In fact... I may even write them good reviews now since they were so nice about it! After a little more yelling from Lynn, her husband kindly said I could go, but when I tried to push the door open, it was locked. He came over to let me go, all while Lynn shouted at me so I couldn't even apologize to him properly. read more
