Today I went to see Supergirl with some friends and we all had a good time. Came here to watch Toy Story 5 on opening day with friends and was super excited. Went to my seats and my recliner seat was not functioning at all and it was broken. I did not have time to talk to management before, so I sent an email to corporate about the specific movie auditorium and the seat number with the faulty chair after the movie and was wondering if they could do something about my ticket because I spent a good amount of money, expecting my recliner seat to work. Spoiler, they did not do anything to help and that they will just "let the movie theater know about the faulty chair" and that was it. Service was not helpful and they basically probably won't do anything about this sadly. I also hear others having the same issues at this specific movie theatre unfortunately. read more

I had plan to see the latest flick in the Mario and Luigi Galaxy sometime this weekend. Not sure when but a time would present itself. So I had a plan, not a fully baked one, but also the goal that I had in mind did not need the coordination and specifics required for storming Peach's Winter Palace. So when I had my fill of a corn hole tournament I attended I decided to find a nearby theatre to enjoy the flick I wanted to see. The closest place was this one--- Regal Garden Grove. And I have to say that this place challenged my attendance instead of facilitating it. I did not buy my ticket before going to the place. However, I did see on the Flixster app that this movie was being played almost at 30 minute intervals throughout the day so whatever time I got there I would almost be guaranteed a ticket. So when I got there, it was close to 3:30 p.m. I entered, and discovered that they had a box office, of course, but no one was working it. The box office was a relic, apparently the advent of buying tickets online and other forms of technology made its purpose obsolete. So I entered and I was informed that I had two options: 1) I could either buy the tickets at the concession stand 2) or at the automated screen. I saw the line at concession stand and decided to buy the tickets with the soulless and fleshless teller. But before I did, I also noticed that this place had a 4DX option. And it is important to note that I learned of this option at the theatre, not while perusing the Flixster app. I was informed that the next 4DX Mario movie was playing at 330. I could make that one, that was my preferred choice. But getting a seat in this movie was going to be a challenge like ducking fire balls and avoiding bullet bills. I went to the automated screen and saw the option to buy a Mario movie ticket and I chose a 4:00 oclock showing, I did not see the 330 p.m. 4DX option. So I got the 4:00 option recliner seat option. Then after paying the screen went back to its original screen where all movie options was shown. This is where I saw that the landing screen had two options for the Mario movie. One option showed all the available Mario movies, except the 4DX. There was a specific button (a second touch button) to buy the 4DX Mario option. So, imagine going to a touch screen at McDonald's, and wanting to buy a combo. You go to the button to chose a combo but only see regular combos. After you pay for the regular combo you see the landing screen to learn that you have touch a second touch button to buy the x-large combos, because you cant do this in the first scree. I do not know if it is just me but this is unnecessarily difficult, like having to go through a small maze to buy a ticket. I spoke to a staff member because I wanted to change my recliner seat ticket to a 4DX ticket, which could be done. It was like 340 and I was informed that the movie had 30 minutes of previews. A manager was called, twice, and still no one came. I eventually decided just to see the movie in the recliner option theatre. I was just over the wait and the lack of active courtesy. I clipped a picture of a broken and tattered Mario Galaxy framed poster on the ground. It was kind of symbolic because the movie poster all unframed and on the floor directly spoke to my experience at this place. The movie was still great, the recliner was awesome, but I am left to wonder how would I have enjoyed the movie in the manner I wanted to see it? On a last note, a fellow movie goer also had problems purchasing her ticket in the automated teller. Her credit could not be accepted. Yes, she might not have funds or a faded chip but she could not figure out how to surpass the struggle. She ask a staff member for help the, young staff member responded, "I am not clocked in yer" and walked into a door. I would have liked for her to say, I am not able to help but maybe one of my other staff members can, let me refer one to you. Yes, she was not working, yes she is young and has professional development to acquire, but courtesy from staff members should be a baseline. At least, I think. I don't know I do not want t be a Koopa about this place but I feel like they had serious obstacles for patrons to enjoy a movie. read more

Came in to watch Toy Story 5 at Regal with my family. Very cute and good movie. It gets you in the feels. Disney didn't mess this one up. My favorite toy story movie is 3 followed by 5. Hubby got a small popcorn for the kids to share. Employee that helped us at the counter was friendly. Reclining seats were comfortable. Theater was not at all busy when we were there. read more

3 stars because most chairs are falling apart and the bathroom is horrible here! Also I come here often because I have a membership, and there's a guy who checks your ticket and scans it at the front door, and he clearly has Down syndrome but that doesn't mean he can't learn a lesson! Anytime I see this guy, he always asks to check my pockets and purse! I've never been asked that at any regal I go to! I'm only giving 3 stars because I love the regal. And I've met more good workers here than bad ones. But they really do have to fix their chairs because the leather is torn into pieces and it's been attached to my clothes and skin when I sit in a recliner that's falling apart. But the restrooms are the WORST. this location needs an update! This location is at the bottom of my list to go to! If you can, just go to a nicer regal location. read more

They really need to hire more concession workers because the line to buy food during a weekend took at least 30 mins. There were only four concessions open and a lot of customers were getting irritated waiting. I think they do this intentionally to get people to buy more food due to all the waiting. The line is also next to the merchandise shelves so it's likely they hope people buy other items while waiting. Unfortunately, the popcorn bucket I wanted to buy was out of stock even though they advertised it as available on their concession screens. It was disappointing to wait all that time and not get to buy what was advertised. read more

The theater is EXTREMELY run down. The seats are falling apart. A lot of seats are not available, not because they are taken but because they don't work. The shopping center that this one is located is very nice with lots of great shops. If I am in the area I will go here but not worth getting out of the way. They never put the paper towels properly in the woman's bathroom and half the faucets are scary to use. The theater is clean and the bathrooms are very nice. The theater looks pretty on the outside. You can tell the employees maintain what they can extremely well. It needs some TLC from the big guys. read more

This movie theater has usually been okay for me, but my most recent visits have been disappointing. The popcorn did not taste very fresh, which was already a letdown. There is also always a long wait for snacks, usually at least 15 minutes.. On my last visit, I arrived early with my snacks, and drinks ready, but I was told I could not be seated yet because they were still cleaning and to wait another 15 minutes. Right after that, other guests were allowed to go in and sit... During the movie, the lights stayed on the entire time, which was really disruptive and took away from the experience. I called multiple times, but no one answered, and I did not want to leave my seat and miss part of the movie. On a positive note, I do love the 2 massage chairs. I usually get a 15 min massage while the fam is line getting the snacks. Overall, lately this theater has left me unsatisfied. read more

Chainsaw Man reze movie is such a 10/10 movie. perfect. However asking around the audience and the employees, told me that they were not shipped any chainsaw man trading card set. what a bummer... Regal itself has old recliner seats in tis standard ticket, which is fine. the ad run before the movie was roughly 20-25 minutes before the movie actually started. Don't bother contacting them by the phone number at all, it would go straight to fax at both the edward's long beach and garden grove location. nobody bothers to pick up the phone anywhere. Nobody is in the outside windows in front like the old days of selling theater tickets upfront, so people including myself these days just buy it online. it's better to watch the movie before 3:00 pm in the day so the cost doesn't get high. read more

Secondly, the ticket prices are cheaper than other places. - As for the food, the popcorn is pretty standard. But I hope they update the caramel popcorn flavor regularly. It's really good but every time I buy it I'm told it doesn't have that flavor. - Their screen is pretty sharp and the sound is great, making my movie watching experience very enjoyable. - Finally, the theater space is relatively spacious, the aisles are big and easy to move around, and the seats are soft. However, what disappointed me the most was their cleanliness. The last time I went to see someone here, the space smelled bad, trash and popcorn were everywhere and they hadn't been cleaned up yet and they let customers sit in. Went with a couple of friends to see the Mystery movie for the evening. We sat in the second row cuz that's all that was available at the time. However, after the movie was over, it looked like a lot of ppl didn't show up, so I guess we could've sat in the other rows, if we knew they were available. The seats were cushiony but arm rests were run down. Lots of peeling and such. The recline was a nice feature but I rather that I was able to sit upright with the leg extension and not recline my head all the way til I'm lying down. It makes it difficult to sit up to drink. The concession stands were quick but of course, pricey. I got a hot dog combo with M&Ms. The hot dog was really small for what you pay for. I think my total was about $25 or less. Since it was my first time there and rushing after work, I didn't have time to drop by elsewhere to get food to bring inside. Folks sitting next to me brought Chipotle. All in all, good experience and interesting movie. The mystery movie was called "Oh Hi". Not generally a Movie I would pay for to go see, but my friend treated, so sure. Let's go. read more

I adore this theater. It's in a nice shopping center and Parking (at night) is not that busy. We came to see final destination and it was great! The screens were clear and the chairs were comfy, some peeling but nothing a sweater or blanket can cover it up. The snacks area I have not gone to only because the lines are always so long. They're trying hard to change - by making some of the dumbest moves imaginable. Last night three of the movies they were showing were 16 years old or even made in the last century - a 2010 Korean movie, "Titanic" (1997), and "Sleepless In Seattle" (1993). A fourth theatre was used to screen "Melania", which unsurprisingly had zero viewers when I poked my head in. Even the movie we saw, which I'd never heard of before, had only one viewer other than the three of us. They did upgrade the seats in some of the theaters since my last review - to the rock 'em sock 'em "4D experience" seats - which are exquisitely painful for those of us who are taller than average. I've been enjoying movie theaters since drive-ins were a thing. But theater operators have to do better to entice me to a soda and hot dog for ten times what they cost at Costco down the street (where the doge are of better quality and the sodas aren't so watered down) than showing movies that came out when the current theater employees'' parents were teens. Many of us still want to enjoy the movie theater experience but management's dumb choices seem determined to drive us away. read more

This place is in a run down strip mall. Only reason why we go here is because it's close to the bf's home. Buy the $40 pack at Costco and you get two tickets + $20 gc. Otherwise to pay full price it's a rip off. Seats are super worn down. It's mostly empty, one of the few perks. Hotdog $7, med Pepsi $9 and I got a free popcorn for my bday. Regal cinema is a nice spacious and clean theater. It is located in the Promenade. You can purchase your tickets from their website. They also have Concessions stand to purchase when you arrive. The ticket is $18 for adults. There are different options for snacks and drinks.The seats and the auditorium were great.  I liked that they have recliners which were very comfortable. My boyfriend and I had a fantastic time at this theater. Sergio, was very helpful and polite employee, attended to us when we ordered our popcorn and drink. He even asked if I needed anything else, which was a nice touch. The area around the theater is pleasant, and there are multiple staff members available to assist you if needed. The theaters themselves are very nice, especially for first-time visitors. Overall, the customer service was exceptional. We arrived early, but there are several areas where you can sit and wait. There's even a small gaming area. There are one little massage areas where you can wait. I didn't mind waiting 15 or 10 minutes for the movie theater to be cleaned, but aside from that, it was an amazing theater. The popcorn was absolutely amazing read more

My go-to movie theater. The recliner seats are standard which is very nice, the theater size is reasonable and rows are easily located, but specific seats less so. The staff are always friendly and the location is clean. Rarely see people manning the ticket booth anymore, but that's just a product of online ticket sales. It's familiar. It's our neighborhood cinema it's old but most theatres are now. The big screen experience and awesome sound is why we keep coming back. I came here to see Jurassic park in the 4DX seats. The theatre is so run down. I think they put the 4Dx seats in this theater to try to get more customers so they don't fail. Last night I watched "It Ends With Us" with my mom. I came to this location because they had affordable movie ticket prices. The recliner seats at the top section of Screen 5 were in very bad condition. My mom didn't really feel comfortable sitting on her reclining entirely because of its condition and I feel so bad.
