I requested a quote from Chamberlain Landscaping LLC, and other companies. I decided to go with Chamberlain; for a number of reasons. They provided a written quote, I accepted this quote, via email, and we exchanged email messages to confirm and detail exactly what was to be done.
After not hearing from them for a few days, I reached out to them. Ethan, I think he might be the owner, sent a text message to me saying he was no longer interested in completing this job. At almost the exact same time as I received this text message, Kelley (not sure who this is, but she works for Chamberlain) called me. After I told her about the text message I had just received, she assured me there must be some miscommunication; she would talk to Ethan and then call me back. She did call me back later that afternoon to say that Ethan had secured a very large job and would not have the time or staff to complete my job. I explained that I wasn't in any big hurry to get my job done. Kelley said she would talk to Ethan and get back to me no later than this past Monday, 1/23. I have not heard from anyone. I have tried calling their office and sent email messages throughout the week, but nothing... At this point I'm not sure what my options are, other than to file a complaint with the BBB and to talk to an attorney.
A company should be required to honor their quotes, and not just dump you because they got a bigger job...
