In the beginning, Chris was very professional and responsive. He even came out twice to quote me since I changed my mind about the job I wanted. I told him I wanted to schedule him to complete my job and he told me he would call me. He never called, so I called him and text him without any answers. Well I'm not sure if they are out of business or not so it may not matter now. But i have been unable to reach them. When i had my concrete poured i had two biggest concers. First i wanted a gutter at the edge to carry the water, im on a hill and i get flooded out by my neighbors. Secondly they were supposed to cut up and remove some of the existing concrete where the new concrete would be poured to avoid a small section of concrete that would crack. I had every reassurance that they would make sure that wouldn't happen I came back from my work trip after it was poured and found they didnt remove any of the old concrrete and poured it to a very small point, which has now cracked like crazy. Granted the rest of my pour came out really well. I basically let them do what they thought was best and the rest of the slam i had poured looks good. But when i called about the small broken part the guy who answered was not chris, and said he would call me back in 45 minutes. From that point on my phone goes straight to VM. I could not be more pleased with Chris and his crew! I put in a pool and after talking with Chris about what I was looking for we came up with a game plan. He took the time to talk with me about what I wanted and even added his own ideas to make it better. Even with all the delays due to weather my backyard pool and outdoor kitchen looks amazing. This review has been updated. We hired Chris and his team to pour a patio for us. They came out on 5/29 to start the job. They said they'd return 6/3 to finish it. All that was left was stain and seal our concrete patio and clean up the trash they left in the yard. I understand project debris was our responsibility but his crew left empty soda cans, plastic bottles, and plastic bags in our yard. That does not constitute as "project debris". They didn't show up on 6/3 and were unreachable until 6/4. They told my husband they had to go out of town for a funeral and would be back 6/5. I reached out to them on 6/5 asking them to hold up their end of the contract because we had already paid for the work in full. They called and said they'd get to it the following week because rain was coming and they can't do the job in the rain. Fine. That's completely understandable. On 6/10, they contacted my husband and said they were coming to complete the job. They never show up! My husband gets ahold of them late that night and they said they didn't show because the skies were cloudy. (We had sunny skies all day. It was only cloudy the first part of the morning.) They said they would be out on 6/11 to finish the job as long as the rain held off. They arrive at the end of the day and come completely unprepared to do the work. The patio needed to be pressure washed before staining because it sat for close to 2 weeks. They didn't have the pressure washer and said they'd be back at 7am the following morning. Do you think they showed up? Nope! This was enough for me to demand a refund for the unfinished work. Which I got, thankfully. Their lack of follow through is astounding. I'm a business owner myself and I too work under contract for clients. I can't wrap my head around how any business owner would think it's okay to continuously stand clients up. If you can't do the work, simply say so. Don't promise the job to be done on X day then never show up to do it. This behavior shows a complete lack of respect for the clients and it's the most unprofessional way to do business. Looking at the patio, I'm noticing there are areas where the concrete isn't 4 inches as it should be and gravel is spilling out from under it. We are having another professional give their opinion on the quality of the work that was done before we decide how to move forward from here. All this to say I would never consider hiring Expert Concrete to do any concrete work and I certainly wouldn't recommend them to anyone else. read more

6 months after the concrete was poured it started to crack. When the concrete was poured it came out of the concrete truck like water. This job was definitely not worth the money that I paid for it. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Expert concrete replaced our sidewalk and added to our driveway. The crew were very professional and very nice from start to finish. They took pride in their work. We were very pleased with the outcome of our project. We had one little hiccup but that was resolved by Chris in a timely manner. We have already referred one of our neighbors to Expert Concrete. read more

This company did a fabulous job from start to finish on pouring a patio and large slab for a shed. They were respectful, caring folks, who went out of their way to do the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. They worked well around some rainy days, and were careful to limit the damage to the yard with their equipment. The entire job showed their pride in their craft. read more

We are very happy with the job that Expert Concrete did. They poured a patio coming off the back of our house. They were flexible with some last minute changes and it looks great! The weather delayed the project a bit, but that was perfectly understandable. Chris and all the workers were nice folks and good to work with. read more

I DO NOT recommend this company! The only reason he's even getting a 1 star is because there isn't 0 stars!! Chris Foster is rude, arrogant, unprofessional. We hired this company for a foundation job back on July 17th 2020. The owner came to our home for the estimate and told us he was booking 2 weeks out, once we signed the contract we were given a schedule date 4 weeks out. They required a deposit for booking (ours was $2865.00 and in total job cost was over 6500.00). We gave them a certified check from our bank. The week of our scheduled pour (August 10) we called several times to see where we were on the schedule and ensure we had permits ready. Cami (the office management) promised to have Chris get back with us multiple times. Our "job week" came and went with no updates. We contacted them again - on August 14th to find out about 811 lines being marked and were told in order for 811 to come out "we" the customer had to mark and stake our own projects. We provided the paint, stakes, and string to mark out our own project. (Not sure what we paid them for??) and once again was told Chris Foster would be in touch. No returned calls. On Monday, August 17th 2020 - we called to let them know our areas were "marked" and asked AGAIN where we were on the schedule and told "not sure, but I'll have Chris call you". After weeks of calling and no returned calls Chris finally called us back and immediately was defensive about the way "he runs his business" he asked us why we hadn't watched the weather from the day we signed the contract. (Didn't realize that's our job also,,, I guess being in touch with your paying customers isn't part of the job description). After trying to communicate our concerns as to why no one had bothered to keep us in the loop - Chris Foster told us he wasn't doing the job and was returning our deposit. We confirmed the deposit amount, and requested it was sent via certified mail, only to be told 3 days later we would have to pick it up and that they were leaving our check in their mailbox! We told them this was unacceptable and we wanted it sent as they originally stated. Our check arrived on August 22nd, SHORT by 45 dollars - and while this seems petty, it was NOT us who cancelled this job! When we contacted Chris he told us he was keeping that for labor - and that if we continued to make contact with him it would be considered harassment and that we needed to contact an attorney. What a crock ! He's a thief, liar, and crooked businessman ! Negative all the way around! read more

In September 2020 we contracted with Expert (Chris) to come out and pour a large concrete patio in our backyard. We chose them since they had done the driveway and walkways for our builder and we were happy with those. First, the project took a lot longer than team expected due to what they told us was wet concrete. The team left at approximately 8pm when patio was still extremely wet and therefore left my yard a disaster. Large chucks of now dried concrete throughout yard, cigarette butts, water bottles, etc. left. I was told by team members before they left they would be back to fix yard. Never came! Additionally, the overall quality was poor and despite contacting them numerous times to have someone come out and look no one ever showed. The patio looks bad and continues to have cracks and pitting in it due to the very poor quality (cost thousands of dollars). I am highly disappointed in both the quality and customer service and would not recommend! read more

We had a dream patio put in our back yard by expert concrete company. The color and the stamped pattern far exceeded what we ever expected, everyone that sees it loves it, truly a work of art. Chris and his crew never rushed on the job or cut corners, they made sure everything was done right. We love it and highly recommend their services. read more

I gave Chris full creative control over our stamped concrete patio. The final product was fine although this was a new border pattern he did and there are a couple of spots that aren't lined up. I was ok with this. What I had a problem with is I asked him to come and take a look at this big crack that formed a week after he laid the concrete. I know all concrete cracks but everything I read about stamped concrete stated that it should not be this significant. As you can see from the picture the edges aren't lined up and pieces have begun to chip off. Even with all of this all I asked Chris to do was find the time to come back out and take a look at it just to reassure me that this wouldn't be a huge issue. I gave him multiple chances to do this. He just stopped responding to me. Part of what he sells is his love of doing this job. I would think that if this was the case he would then also make sure all clients felt the same way. This job was done in July 2019, none of the work he did was posted on his social media account. As an fyi for anybody interested I have come to find out that his BBB accreditation has been suspended.
