Mmmmm... This place is nice. Actually it is better than nice. Chamomile Cafe is a great place to come for a morning or lunch time bite. My first experience was for breakfast, and although not greasy spoon cheap, being smack in the middle of Belsize Park seemingly millions of miles away from Chavdom, the extra couple of £'s are worth it. Indeed Chamomile was full of young couples and families that looked as if they were pushing up the class ladder. Working class notions behind us, the menu had a healthy feel that crossed into the appearance and taste of the food. I recommend the granola, exotic fruit and natural yogurt offering. It is both large, impressive and delightfully tasty, with at least seven different fruits. My cheese and ham toasty was very good too. Fresh bread is baked every day, and I cannot help but applaud my overall experience. Great cafe.

A charming, relaxed cafe which is locally reknowned for its mixture of very healthy and very unhealthy breakfasts and brunches, at very reasonable prices. It is a great little spot- a perfect morning place to read the papers and have a cup of tea. My mum and I always go to Chamomile when we meet up- it is a good place to start off the day and is perfectly positioned on England's Lane, so very close to Primrose Hill, Regent's Park Road and Belsize Park Village. We always have the same thing- we share a pot of tea, I have their full English breakfast and my mum has the healthier options- juice, muesli and yoghurt and then smoked salmon on rye. Both options are delicious (their bacon is perfectly cooked) They have a selection of newspapers at the front of the cafe which you can pick up and read when you come in.

I went here for my first meal in London. The food was really good. I ordered the full English breakfast, and the two people with me had the avocado toast and one of the health bowls. The full english was really good, but I should have split it with someone because it was huge. The other dishes were really large as well, so maybe order to share.

Full English absolutely delicious

What a perfect little friendly place to chill and have breakfast or lunch and watch the world walk by

Special of the day: poached eggs on avocado on toast

The full veggie is delicious too (meatless version of the full English). The veggie sausages are delish and they let you choose how you want your eggs (poached!).

Full English breakfast!

Food very basic, not generous. Could improve service. Location is good, but skip it if you've got another option

I decided to return early the next morning, and we were seated quickly. The staff is friendly and attentive. The cafe is quirky with shelves of vintage books and customer napkin art. You read that correctly - napkin art. A craft of water with fresh mint came out quickly. We ordered Americana coffees and I had the Eggs Drury. The food came out fairly quickly. My poached eggs were served on a massive bed of bacon and fresh made English muffins. The English bacon was incredibly delicious. It is no wonder that there are lines waiting to dine here. My husband had one of their premade breakfast sandwiches, made on fresh rolls, which he loved. There was a service charge added to the bill. I would definitely recommend and return.

I ordered the chorizo sandwich; the bread had a good crunch and the sun dried tomato added a bonus pop of flavor. The real winner and bar-setter for me was their iced vanilla latte. I'm not sure if it was the espresso or the vanilla syrup they used but it was probably the best latte I had. Inside the restaurant has lots of character and you can get more info on the decorations. Employees were kind and handled the business of the day with ease. If anyone happens to see this from the cafe, I'd really love to know what vanilla syrup is used as I'm still thinking about that latte weeks later!

There was a line of people outside waiting. That's how you know it's going to be good! After I got on the line the host (who was a lovely gentleman!) stated it would be about a 15 minute wait, but there was ample seating available outside. I decided to sit outside. After a quick overview of the menu I went with avocado toast with bacon and hashbrowns. I also had a coffee. Everything was delicious and service was great!

People kept walking by without acknowledging us, which was a little frustrating. The coffee was amazing though. We ordered a cortado and it was perfect. I got the All American breakfast and the portion was huge. I enjoyed everything, even though they don't make over-medium eggs, which was a little funny to me. My mom ordered the avo, egg, and cheese sandwich and didn't realize it was spicy, so she didn't enjoy it much. Just something to be aware of if you're not into spice. The vibe inside was really nice and cozy, and our waiter, once we were finally seated, was very sweet and friendly. Overall, I would return, especially for the coffee and the portions.

The…read moreatmosphere is really good and staff is friendly, courteous and welcoming but I felt they were somewhat stressed out. The space is small and it's really filled up with tables to a point where waiters have to navigate gingerly but it IS London and space is $$$$ but they could easily offset it with great food but alas, that wasn't the case. Perhaps, an unsuspecting non Russian tourist might enjoy the experience, but as a native, if I had to use one polite word and not a lot of Russian expletives - dreadful would be it. If you own this place or work there you will know that all pickles came from a jar. You'd know that pastries were not made by you and weren't made today but you don't charge yesterday's prices. Even the bread was ehh. Not going to list the dishes but they all were not that tasty and possibly not made by a Russian cook. Notice, I didn't even use the word "chef" which is what this type of restaurant ought to have. A MAJOR disappointment and an expensive one at that. Don't do this. If you happen to travel to LA, I will make Russian food for you or at least tell you where to go
