That was the WORST car wash I've ever had in my life. And when I brought my truck back to the manager and showed him all the missed dirt inside (which his employee told me they would get if I upgraded to a Deluxe), he literally said that they have to rush cars through, because they get a 150 cars a day and that they don't use any liquid on their cloths to wipe stuff because customers might complain if the plastic gets discolored. What "manager" says that to a customer?!? I spent extra time removing absolutely everything from the my truck (that I only drive about once per week but because my broken foot is in a boot, I needed someone else to do it this time) to make it easy for them. He said you're welcome to go to a detail shop. Ummm, no, I specifically came to a FULL SERVICE car wash for the hand care. Even 1 employee got pissed when he heard what the manager told me. The floors are covered in dirt too. I've been to many many full service places and never ever has the truck been returned like this. It's like they didn't even do anything. Champion car wash is a brushless "tunnel" car washing system that does an excellent job at cleaning your car. The setup allows even low sports cars (like my corvette) to be cleaned damage free. People (rather than air) wipe the car down to finish the job. I paid $26 for a full interior (vacuum) and exterior wash. They do offer detailing services. The process is that you drive up to a sheltered area that houses the vacuums and then employees take it from there by driving your car through the car wash, and then wiping the car dry. The only downside to this establishment is its popularity. I arrived in a Friday around noon and waited a total of an hour. There were 10 cars in front of me forming two lines toward the vacuums. Then only one car at a time through the car wash. So this place is busy and you might have to invest time for a quality car wash. read more

I had a very frustrating experience at Champion Car Wash today, primarily because of how my grievance was handled when I approached two separate employees (young man checking the vehicles in outside and the female manager behind the desk).  I arrived at approximately 2:40pm this afternoon with my Ford F-150 pick-up truck and requested the Deluxe Wash.  Upon my arrival, I was the 3rd vehicle awaiting the initial vacuuming prior to running the vehicle through the car wash.  (Two vehicles already there under the canopy to be vacuumed, although I did not see anyone other than the young man checking vehicles in administering this service).  I turned my vehicle off (key fob remained in the vehicle) and went inside to pay for my Deluxe wash.  Always a lively experience with the female manager and her commentary with customers and interactions with her dog she has with her the majority of the time.  I've always had decent results from the car wash service itself, wait times can fluctuate given what time of day you arrive.  Prior to my experience today, my wife attempted to have her car wash the previous Friday after she departed her job at 3:30pm.  My wife called me after she waited some time in her vehicle that day (as it instructs you to do on the sign) and the individual checking vehicles in that day passed her up and checked 3 other vehicles in that had came in well after her.  I can understand one or so, but 3....that is someone certainly not paying much attention to the order they are received.  My wife politely got out of line and passed on having her vehicle cleaned that day.Fast forward to my experience today (19 Feb 26), as stated I had already checked in, paid and was patiently waiting in the customer waiting area.  I could hear when my vehicle was turned back on as the exhaust makes such a sound I could hear it.  Approximately 10-15 minutes goes by and I can hear that my truck is still running and decided to go outside and check the status of my vehicle in line.  When I initially went out and sat on the picnic table, I noted 3 other vehicles that had been processed through the vacuum stage prior to mine that had arrived after me.    I make my way back to my vehicle, turn it off and approach the young man who checked my vehicle in to question why 3 other vehicles that arrived after me were already through the vacuuming process and actually one was already out being dried (White Toyota Tundra pickup).  When I mentioned this to the young man about my wait and other vehicles going well ahead of mine he immediately became defensive/dismissive that it certainly did not happen and they process the vehicles in the order they arrive.  I thought more about how my wife had issues just days before and decided to go in and ask to speak with the owner "Anthony".  When I approached the female cashier/manager to ask to speak with Anthony or leave my number with her to pass on....her demeanor immediately changed and her tone became immediately defensive.  She responded that herself and one of the others that works in the detail shop are managers and have worked there for 29 years and could handle any grievance I had.  I provided her the details above and she too became very dismissive about the process on how cars are checked in the order they arrive.  I brought up my concern and she assured me that no way would several vehicles that came in after me would have been processed before mine.  Rather than engaging and listening to what I had to say, she made a scene in front of the other customers.   She showed no willingness to LISTEN and even at one point when I again asked to speak or leave a message with Anthony she hastily threw down her note pad on the desk. Unfortunately, this interaction with the employees of CHAMPION CAR WASH today has closed this establishment off for any future business from myself or family.  There are plenty of other businesses that value and respect their customers to not respond so hastily and unprofessional. read more

Having used Champion for all our carwashes for years, I was very disappointed in the way it has fallen off in the last couple of months. Not sure if they have new owners or what changed but I was disgusted when I got home and looked closely at my white SUV and then spent half an hour cleaning it after it had supposedly been cleaned with the top tier wash that is available. Hate to think what the results would have been if I hadn't bought the most expensive service. The black dash and leather was still dusty and cup holders weren't touched. Floor mats were dirty and carpets hadn't been vacuumed. The tailgate section was still covered in bird seed/ garden soil debris so had obviously never been vacuumed or washed out. I have always voted for them as #1 in Best of the Pines but won't do that again and won't be back. Too bad as we always considered them the best carwash in the area. read more

I was very disappointed with Champion car wash. I paid for a deluxe wash. When my car was supposedly finished I got in my car and drove off. Within a block or two from Champion Car Wash I noticed my ash tray was not emptied (I had pulled it open so they could see it needed emptied). I had two rings on my inside wind shield from a Garmin GPS which were no cleaned off the windshield, and my front console had some Goody Powder spilled on it that was not cleaned. When I got home I called Champion Car Wash to complain about the job they did in cleaning my car and all I got was one excuse after the other, Ibtold the lady I was speaking with that I would not be coming back to their business to get my card washed anymore. 1 * Rating Albert Riek read more

I've taken our cars to the standard wash on multiple occasions and always came away impressed at the wash for the money. Today I picked our mini-van up from the detailing shop and WOW! Anyone that has children AND a minivan knows the perils of keeping the car presentable. We do a good job of trying to keep up with the daily crumbs and splashes, but it accumulates over time. Any evidence of our two children and their trail of crumbs was cleaned away by Chuck and the staff at Champion. The detailing was definitely worth the money but if you only have time for a standard wash this is still the place to go. read more

While waiting for my truck to be washed and dried, sitting in the exceptionally clean and comfortable lobby was a delight. I have sat outside on warmer days on one of the many benches and picnic tables on the property. Reason for visit: car detail and car wash. I have been coming here for quite some time while living in Southern Pines. This place is very quick, courteous, and a good price. They do excellent work and are thorough. Today I visited Wayne in the detail shop, he is a magician. $50 got me an interior wash and cleaning that makes my interior of my car look brand-new. I was expecting the inside to be clean and still worn but I was mistaken. But I came this afternoon to pick up my car, it look like he completely switched out my interior. Everything was clean, he used leather conditioner and cleaning tools to make the interior leather of my car look brand-new. Anthony is awesome and always goes out of his way to assist people, and everyone is anyways welcoming.....from Sherri to Bryan to everyone else. I paid to have the crystal coating put on my car and it made it shine like crazy, plus the water repelling is nice. I no longer go to Par ..... bc they are overpriced and almost every time I took my vehicle there I would have to bring it back bc it was still dirty. So, my car is a bit of a mess. I always swear I'm going to get it washed once a week, but usually ends up more like once a month. Ok, three times a year. Used to come here and liked it, but I agree with the other comments that the check out clerk is rude. I always spring for the top wash that I can do while waiting and this last time is the last time. Paid 22$, got in my car and had footprints on the door and could still write "wash me" on the dash and the exterior. The vacuum job may have been worth the money though, that was pretty badass. The rest? I'll use my own hose to move dirt and pine needles around, thank you! read more

My boyfriends tiny little car wasn't really dirty but it needed to be vacuumed and the interior wiped. AWFUL Job. They didn't even vacuum the back and nothing was wiped down! When I said something at the end the guy said it wasn't his job he just does the tires which also looked horrible. I think they really just took the mats out sprayed hem and gen ran the car through the automatic car wash. One guy came out with a dry rag and wiped it down a little and then sent me on my way. Won't be going here again which is sad because they did a pretty ok job on my Jeep last time for the price. read more

Not a bad job especially considering the price. Could have dried my car a little more on the front and back bumpers but other than that it was a good job. Had someone spill milk and my car and it sat in the hot sun for a few days so as you can imagine it was a no Bueno situation. The guys scrubbed it out as much as they could and it still smelt a little do they sent me over to talk to the detailing guy they have. So glad they did because he was awesome! For only $12 he got all of that dried up milk out and it no longer has that nasty smell. I had taken out my mat thinking I was just going to have to toss it but he told me to bring it back and he would take care of it at no extra cost!! Definitely will be returning! read more

Went here for car wash, never again. The staff does not come alive until it is time for a tip. Not only was the check-out clerk rude, but the detailer had a real attitude problem. I bought a used car which was especially dirty, so I decided to splurge and get it detailed. Wow! Now it's like a brand new car. They even made it smell good. The guys really did a great job, getting into every little nook and cranny. It had some stickers on the windows they were able to get off, too. Took my new to me Navigator in for the "Ultimate Wash". Overall, it was cleaned on the surface. Exterior is shinier than before but many details weren't touched. Easy areas to vacuum inside were done but not under seats, the back or anyplace that wasn't obvious. I'd say probably worth the $20 for the first time but I doubt I'll be back. Champion car wash? Hardly, maybe they are champions of something else but not car cleaning. After a cross country trip with a dog and a 2 yr old my SUV was badly in need of a cleaning. I discussed what I wanted with the service tech who repeatedly assured me that they would be able to remove the dog hair, no problem. I knew that I needed more than a quick cleaning but was not looking for a detail. I even stated this to him and acknowledged that it might take a little more time and cost a little extra to accomplish. He said no the ultimate wash would be fine. He was then surprised when I was upset to still see my carpets covered in dog hair post cleaning. He told me that dog hair is hard to remove (duh) and that even if I had it detailed they wouldn't be able to get the dog hair out. This I know is complete bs since they have been able to remove the dog hair completely at other places both during details and regular cleaning. Not to mention the amount of dirt still clinging to most surfaces of my interior. I won't be returning here for any services since they aren't honest about what they actually can and cannot do. read more
