My daughter has been going to Champion Cheer for 2 1/2 years now. I don't know why it has taken me so long to think to write a review when I am someone who does a lot of research before committing to any business/service/product...and always looks at the reviews. I guess what prompted me is looking at two negative reviews that I have a hard time understanding because they differ so greatly from our experiences. So, for anyone out there looking for a reputable cheer &/or tumbling program you have found your match in Champion Cheer! It is an amazing organization that instills true values in every athlete by making sure they have a team mentality & always pushes themselves to be their best. They take the God-given talents each athlete has & helps them to reach their full potential with it. My daughter has gained so much confidence in the time she has been in this program both with her tumbling skills as well as her cheer skills. She was not ready for the full commitment of all-star cheer and has been on prep teams (she has been on two because of her age/skill) for two years now & has had amazing experiences on both while building beautiful friendships with so many wonderful girls. The staff is so friendly and I have yet to have a "bad" tumbling coach (have had 4-5 over time). They all want the girls to perfect a skill fully before moving on so they avoid injuries, which is more than I can say for the program we were in previously. As a result, my daughter has become a better gymnast, cheerleader, athlete & overall person. My daughter has been cheerleading for 9 years, 6 of those at Champion. We came to Champion looking for a great gym with emphasis on excellence and safety. From the moment we entered we knew we were home. Champion is a loving and caring gym in which athletes thrive! From the owners to the coaches & staff, there is a since of love n family! Not only are they one of the top gyms but they focus on the whole Athlete!! The training is intense as they want the cheerleaders to master each skill before moving on to the next not just for scores but for safety and to be the best that they can be! Just as important is the forming and mastering of the person! Champion builds Champions ON and OFF the mat!! They train them physically, competitively, mentality and Spiritually!! And...that extends to the entire family!! I have been first hand how they have been there for families in need, most recently our huge loss of Emma & Tita. So blessed to be at such a loving and caring gym....not to mention ....we kill it on the mat too!! My daughter loves it here! You can't help but feel welcomed and a part of the family the minute you walk in the door. Love love love this gym!! From the amazing and talented coaches, to the owners, the staff and all the wonderful parents with whom we have forged a tight and close friendship with....this is my daughter's and mine second home and family!! Champion Cheer Justin is one of the most disappointing experiences we've had in competitive cheer. If you're serious about athlete development, discipline, and building a winning mindset, this is not the place. The program lacks the structure and accountability required to be competitive. Practice expectations are inconsistent, and there's little follow-through when standards aren't met. It's not uncommon to see athletes arrive late, miss practices for outside activities, or treat commitments as optional--with no real consequences. Over time, that kind of environment catches up to the entire team. What stands out most is the lack of urgency around development. Skills are not consistently corrected, routines don't get the level of repetition needed, and athletes who want to be pushed are often left plateauing. When you're investing significant time and money, you expect to see progress--and that just isn't happening here. Team cohesion also suffers because priorities aren't aligned. When some athletes are held to a higher standard than others--or when outside commitments take precedence--it creates frustration and limits what the team can achieve competitively. After experiencing it firsthand, it's easy to understand why this gym is viewed as a tier 3 program in the DFW area. There are other gyms that demand accountability, prioritize development, and consistently produce stronger results. If your goal is for your athlete to grow, be challenged, and compete at a high level, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

We moved to Texas in 2014 with two small children. Within 6 months we learned of Champion Cheer and started our 3 & 5 year old in tumbling. They held a Champions in Training 12 week program where my 5 year old fell in love with cheer. She went in as this shy & scared little girl & 12 weeks later she was a perfomer, outgoing, & in love with this sport. We've done 1 year of prep, which was a fantastic way for her to really see what the competition teams are like. Fast forward to currently my now 7 year old is on her first all-star team & shines. My 5 year old is on her second season of an adorable exhibition team. This gym is our second home & our favorite place to spend our evenings & weekends. We are proud that we belong to such a great family oriented gym that has strong morals to produce these amazing kids. We have been coached by the best coaching staff that will truly work hard with your children to succeed & they invest in their future. It's truly a cheer family for all members of Champion Cheer whether your a parent of a 5 yr old or a 18 yr old everyone cares and supports each other. We were welcomed into the champion cheer family in the spring of 2015! My daughter came in as a level one athlete, who had cheered for 2 seasons with another gym...with very little skill and no technique. She tried out, made a team and began her tumble class, jump class and private lessons. Within a very short amount of time she had already gained confidence, technique and most of all her very best friends and family as we consider them! Champion has an amazing staff that not only teaches cheer/tumbling skills...they teach life skills. Our team coaches, private lesson coach, her jump coach and all the owners/staff are easy to talk to, loving and are authentic. They truly care about each and every athlete and their families! Proofreading a scholarship essay for my daughter (an athlete at Champion) in which she had to write about the environment she was raised and how it has shaped her as a person.... "I look back at all that has happened to me growing up, and I realize that it is in times of toughness when one's character, commitment, and attitude are put to the test. I've decided that I will be studying business and accounting in college and I don't believe that I would have found that path without struggling with money and having to pave my own financial path as a young adult. We LOVE this Champion Family! All of my daughters are in their second year of cheer here and we could not imagine having them anywhere else. The character of this gym starts at the top with the owners! These owners adore each and every athlete at this gym. The Coaches make sure every athlete reaches their full potential in both tumbling and cheer. On top of the outstanding level of coaching, Champion Cheer has a leadership team comprised of older athletes. These athletes are looked up to by the younger ones and not only have a tremendous effect on them, but on the community as well! My daughter has attended Champion Cheer All-Stars for several years. Champion is a Christian-based gym & has more of a family feeling than I've ever seen in a competitive sport. Having said that, one must keep in mind cheer is a competitive sport, there are level requirements and yes they do have try outs for the teams. Placement on teams is based on ability and age. It is my firm belief champion places the athletes on the team that is the best fit for the athlete. Athletes at this gym have instilled in them the best sportsmanship (win or lose) I have ever witnessed. Coaches and athletes alike are very supportive of one another. Our daughter has been with Champion Cheer for 7 years and has competed all levels (level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5R and 5). I can honestly say it has been hands down one of the very best influences in her young/teen life. This gym has a very solid faith foundation and nurturing environment. They excel in teaching character, commitment and attitude. We would not cheer anywhere else. This is a highly competitive gym with world class coaches and choreographers but also offers prep teams and tumbling classes. Our daughter has numerous ACA, NCA and Summit/Worlds bids/championships and jackets. My family has been a part of this gym for 5 years. We absolutely love it here! It has given both my girls confidence and the understanding on what it takes to be a team player. This gym is very Christian and family oriented. You are not just a number at this gym you are part of a family. The coaches are amazing! There isn't one that lacks in motivation! One of my daughters is currently struggling with a mental block on her backhand springs and they have been so patient with helping her work through it. Champion Cheer is not just the place my daughter attends for tumbling instruction and competitive cheer, it is a 2nd home to her. Her coaches are mentors. She is learning leadership skills, time management, work ethic and so much more. The coaching staff is loving, all while expecting the most from these athletes. When my family was in need, the gym and all of the other Champion families were so supportive of my daughter. We LOVE Champion Cheer! We drive 90 miles (each way) three times a week for our daughter to participate on an all star team at Champion because we love the coaches and the character, commitment and attitude that they instill in their athletes. I can't say enough great things about this amazing gym. We are apart of the Justin location and we absolutely love it. My daughter broke two growth plates in her ankle last year and we wanted to find a new Cheer gym. Not only did the coaches get her back on the mat from helping with PT but she went from a backbend in January to a roundoff back-handspring back tuck in October. I came to champion 3 years ago and found that I improved more in one month at this gym than I had years at another gym in the area! The atmosphere at champion is so positive and fun. The coaches are dedicated to technique and IT SHOWS! I wouldn't have dreamed of being capable of the things I have learned at champion.
