So glad I didn't take our grandma that used to ride because this was so unsafe. The trough looked extremely dirty it was like a dark green color. We were crossing roads that cars had to yield to us. Learning the different disciplines was interesting, as well as the rules for each one. I learned that you can't look at it like "how is this useful against someone with a gun" but rather a sport with rules, and if you stay within those rules against someone doing the same, it's challenging. It's like trying to put basketball players against football players, different sport. One on one sword fighting with strangers was also good fun, saw many different styles and how everything can clash, the level of difficulty was not apparent to me before but now it is. Afterwards, I watched some Olympic videos and I had a whole new appreciation for it. I recommend trying it out if you got the money to spare.
