Definitely should've checked the reviews before going here. Stopped in yesterday to buy something and was overcharged at least $10.. sold me a faulty item and refused to give me a replacement. Made up some sort of law about how they can't exchange faulty items since they're "just the middle man". I've been to plenty of stores that replace damaged items. Smh such a waste of money and I'm a college student! I didn't get the rude attitude everyone's talking about but he definitely wasn't telling the truth read more

Horrible liquor store. They charged me 17 for $13 Champagne. Be very careful using cards here - try to bring cash. Cashier didn't print out a receipt and whisked me away. I looked at my statement and I was shocked. My friend bought the same item so I thought it was a fine transaction. Not a good place. read more

Walked into the store with a friend who wore a headscarf and was rudely disrespected with glances and attitude. Should've been warned by the "I Stand with Isreal" sign that serving anyone else that doesn't fit his beliefs wouldn't be tolerated. Local shops like this shouldn't spread hate in this community. Won't be returned and I hope these doors close soon Bc it doesn't seem to be doing the community any good. read more

Great local liquor store located conveniently close to campus at the University of Michigan. Reasonable prices and a great selection to choose from. The owner proudly displays an Israeli flag in the window. He has taken some heat from so called social justice warriors on campus and refused to take it down. For that I salute him. I bought a bottle in support and I will return to this friendly and welcoming spot. For those who criticize him as spreading hate well you couldn't be more wrong. First of all he is Israeli why shouldn't he display his flag in his store? Second displaying the flag of a democracy is not hateful or racist. Let's not throw around loaded terms when there is no basis for it. Don't like the flag don't come in. There are quite a few liquor stores in town. The two negative reviews on Yelp sound like BS to me. The first review refers to "glances and attitude" so now subjective hate is the order of the day? Did the owner, a nice man, say anything or refuse to serve you because your friend had a head scarf? Of course not because your unsubstantiated allegations seem to be false and in your head. As for the refusal of service I doubt that too unless you came in to make a political statement and caused a scene. I can smell social justice warrior BS a mile away and the reviews by Sahar R. and Mohammed R. both seem inherently false and do not reflect the service I received and the friendly nature of the place. So in short ignore the fake reviews and look at a real one. Please patronize a good liquor store run by a kind and friendly man who happens to have come from Israel. read more

Great store! When I was visiting my cousin's campus in their neck of the woods and we needed some drinks and supplies for our get together this place had everything we needed! Plus even though we had been running late and it was about 15 minutes past closing time the owner still let us in to get what we needed! Seemed like a really nice guy. So when my cousin sent me a video of him getting harassed and slandered for having an opinion I had to weigh my two cents in from my experience with him to let people know the truth! read more

Beware - they overcharge you. They charged me sales tax at a higher amount than you are supposed to be charged, and on top of that they overcharged my credit card. No receipt was given, so I don't much to work with to argue what happened. Most of their customers are college students, so they probably assume that they don't have the habit of checking their statements or something like that - they think they can pull this off. If you really do buy from this place, pull out your phone and calculate exactly how much you should be paying (sales tax should be 6%), and pay with cash. Also count your change. read more

As an associate of the Phix vape and a connoisseur of the Juul and several alcohols, I can attest that Champion's is one of the premier overpricers of Liqour and tobacco related products in Ann Arbor. Not only are they generally rude to the clientele, but vapor pens are up to 3 times more expensive than they should be. Additionally, alcohols are upcharged with regards to their locale and the type of customers they receive. If you are a student in Ann Arbor, don't buy into Champion's. They only seek to make unfair profit off of retailed items in an incredibly unfair way. read more

I live in Canton (about 19 mile drive) I go a bit out of my way to shop here because the selection is unbelievable. Some of my friends are very particular which Vodka they like and this is the only place within a 30 mile radius that has everything you can think of for your next party. read more

I tend to shop here mostly for soda and other off-the-cuff items. But I think the place is great. Very convenient, close to the University (2 minute walk from central campus), and the staff is extremely friendly, polite, and considerate. The store is clean and well-organized. I haven't looked at all they have to offer, but it actually looks like a good place to pick up a lot of food stuffs and essentials. I encourage people to give this place business, as I think they contribute to the neighborhood in a very positive way. Check them out before you hit a chain store! read more

A good portion for dinner and more to take home. I'd return here because the food does seem of decent quality and there are other menu items I would like, however it is NOT cheap. So... keep that all in mind so you aren't disappointed.

I walked in and what I assume is the owner is barking at the customers "what do you want, spit it out, okay, next!, what do you want? I GOT THE PHONE!" I wasn't sure if he was joking or what, I assume joking but that was my very first impression walking in and it didn't set a great tone for me. The food redeemed it tho. I got the #19 sandwich and it's a HONKER! It's huge. Plenty of food for 14$. Also tried the donuts and bagels. Everything was really solid. Overall not a great first impression walking in but would be back if in the area.

It was hard to choose so I asked for their most popular flavor and the guy taking my order said their Apple Fritter. The customer next to me also told me that was the best! I ordered one of that and a Frosted Maple donut. It's $2 for a regular donut and $2.50 for a more decorated donut. The Apple Fritter was ok, a little dry. But the Frosted Maple was delicious! I want to return and try their sandwiches.

Let me count the ways. This place is bad. My personal favorite is that it is owned by an anti-Israeli, Christian Iraqi immigrant. But to hide this fact, he has a sign prominently displayed on the door, "we stand with Israel." One of his workers (or maybe it was him, because I couldn't tell) argued with me about something silly. The door to the place practically fell off the hinge. I left quickly because I didn't want to stay too long lest I suffer some further damage, about which I wish I could say more now. Don't go here. I'm guessing he stands with Hezbellah. LOLOLOL. You can't make these things up. read more

If I could do a -5 Star review I would. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I got a 5th of pink Whitney and 2 twisted teas and the total came out to 44$ the pink Whitney alone was 10$ more expensive than anywhere around and he charged me 8$ a can for 2 twisteds. Then I asked why it was so expensive and the douche bag responds with " we don't sell nothing cheap in here" all these other reviews saying it's cheap they are liars. I love this store. everything you need and more. I was looking through the reviews and as for the extra charge... didn't happen to me, not sure what they are talking about. and for the rick s. person, you have got to be kidding me!! Robert is a very nice man and treats everyone with respect. keep your political views out of it. this is a review about the store not you wanting to bad mouth people. RACIST, I came in to buy a few snacks and when I came to the the register, the counter man refused to serve me because my mom was wearing a scarf. He probably has a racism issue or something against women wearing scarfs. This is the first and last time I'll ever come to this place. The guy wasn't too nice to me, kind of rude. I'm sure he knows about spirits, but to me being nice to customers is more important. I'm fine with him supporting Israel if he wants to though, nothing to do with that. read more
