This is my neighborhood store and it is more than just a convenience store. It has a great liquor section, lots of mixers (including an incredible number of bitters). Good beer selection and, get this, some really good food. Both sandwiches and hot food as well. The people who work there are friendly and knowledgeable. The also support the community, they are always willing to let us put posters for fundraising activities for non-profit agencies. We need to make sure little businesses like this stay in the community. read more

This is a smallish local market-deli in a Liquor Store. We had already been to one local liquor store which was out of the Elderflower Liqueur that I was looking for. I called and spoke with the cashier who assured me that they had some in stock. Upon arrival there were a couple associates doing what looked like an inventory of stock in the first couple isles to the left of the door. The counter, on the right , was very long and loaded with interesting items. I wanted to see what the Deli consisted of (since deli's being sparse in Texas is an understatement!). I walked straight to the back of the store and saw a couple pieces of Pepperoni Pizza under warming lights. It was an off time so I was not surprised. A left turn down the aisle and there were numerous styles of sandwiches and wraps pre-made to grab and go. They had lots of refrigerated soda pop and other non alcoholic beverages. Also a refrigerated section contains jarred dill pickles, cheeses and other sides. The next aisle had a variety of pantry items. I landed at the end of the second aisle where I was spotted by a gentleman who asked me what I was looking for and then told me the size and prices of the St Germaine Elderflower Liqueur. I chose the pint for $19.99, the man went behind the counter and slid a ladder that was attached to the wall toward the end.... climbed to nearly the top and got it for me. He was very nice and responded to my request immediately- I took it to the cashier-protected by the plastic shield in front of the register. I checked out and went on my merry way! Super rad selection of booze and beer. Perfect for your all your casually sipping at home, throwing a party, or tailgating needs. Nicely organized and a ton of stuff at different price points--from high end to low. Good for college students to folks who have a bit more change in their pockets. Their pizza is THE BOMB. It's really good. I was sincerely impressed. I'd order it take out any time. No joke. And they have gluten free options if that's something you need, too. A good lookin' deli counter plus a really friendly staff. I was running a tailgate next to their shop and needed a little assistance reheating some of the food we had and they lent us some pans and gave me a crash course on how these things should be reheated. They totally didn't need to do this but they did. Really awesome. Made me a customer for life, for sure! read more

What do these have in common: $ 5.99 tuna sandwich, $90.00 bottles of bourbon, Gluten free pizza? They're all within 10 feet of each other and obtainable in one stop. I had a tuna sandwich which was so big, I only ate half. And it was g-r--rrrreat. Super fresh, very light on the mayo. Nice. Oh, and it was $5.99. I talked to Vern (one of the owners) about his gluten free pizza. He takes it seriously. When it gets ordered, they clean down all the surfaces before prepping it, etc. I've had other pizzas (whole and slices) that have been wonderful. I did have a clearly old last-one-standing slice that wasn't good. But hey, let he who has not succumbed-to-mild-hypoglycemia-and-ate-that-nasty-hours-old-heat-lamp-slice-even-though-you-know-it's-not-right cast the first stone. They also have a tower of power liquor selection. The wall is 40 feet long and 12 feet high. They also know their liquor. I've purchased bourbons that I've never seen there. If they don't have the liquor you're looking for they'll order it for you and give to you free. OK, not free, but these guys are really great. They own another place down on industrial. read more

I've been going here for years and I strongly recommend. They'll have everything you would expect but their food specialties are absolutely delicious. The breakfast sandwich and handmade pizza (both gluten free btw) are 100% the best I've ever had. The GF pizza is actually real, seasoned, thick, flavored, handmade pizza! People who don't have a choice and must stay on a GF diet will understand.... it's not a paper thin pizza that was frozen and then tossed in a pan (like every single big name chain). It's legit pizza and I'll only be ordering from them in the future. You'll recognize the same people working in there and everyone of them are very nice. Sold my mentally ill client expired meat. When my client arrived back home and showed us what he bought I immediately took the meat back. When I spoke to the clerk he said "well he wouldn't get taken advantage of if you were with him!". I reminded him that my client is free to go to the store just like we are. The nerve! A couple of friends and I were in the area and heard that Stadium Market had gluten-free pizza! Not the gourmet, "let's put high end ingredients on a gluten-free crust to try to make you forget that the crust kinda sucks" kind of gluten-free pizza but, like a REAL kinda greasy pizza! The pizza was awesome! My 2 friends said they could barely tell a difference from regular pizza. The crust was on the thinner side, crisp but still delightfully chewy. The sauce was very tasty and there was a nice cheese to topping ratio. The mushrooms weren't the icky canned ones but fresh instead! Joy! In addition, the little deli in the back has a variety of prepared foods and salads - they make them in house so they can tell you what is gluten-free and what's not. Also amongst the aisles of liquor, beer, and wine there is a food aisle or two that contain some other great treats. Although we didn't buy alcohol on our trip we were wowed by the selection. Wide ranging and unique to say the least. I could easily spend a looong time just perusing the bottles and checking out new things....while eating some pizza of course! read more

Just stopped in there for the first time tonight because the hair cut place next door was closed. I was blown away by the incredible selection of every type of alcohol. They even had Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale which I haven't been able to find anywhere else. And I heard they have good food as well. I'll have to try that out soon. read more

I had heard about the gluten free pizza at Stadium Market, so I thought I'd better check it out. It is fantastic! Freshly baked to order, it has a thin but chewy crust with a wonderful italian-herby flavor. I ordered mine with pepperoni, but you can have any toppings you want. They're generous with the cheese as well. YUM. I recently ordered Cottage Inn's gluten free pizza, and it was good, but this one was better! I was told that they will also make any sandwich for you on their menu with Udi's gluten free bread and that its very good. I am looking forward to trying one next time I go in. I also noticed that they carry gluten free products as well. A definite must-visit for anyone in the Ann Arbor area who has to eat gluten free! read more

I just realized that I've been going to the wrong party store. I walked into Stadium Market the other day looking for some batteries and discovered that this store has a much bigger selection than the rather gritty store out on Stadium where we replenish our supplies when we run out of things to drink at the tailgate party. This store is virtually around the corner from the Big House (corner of Packard and Stadium) and besides having a huge selection, it's also really nice on the inside. The whole shopping center was built new in 2004, so the store isn't that old. There's a deli-counter with pasta, salads and things like that. I talked to the lady who owns the store and she was pretty nice, but she couldn't believe that it was my first time in the store, because apparently everyone else in town has already been there. I'm sorry, lady, I won't forget you next season. read more

It is so nice to have a handmade gluten free pizza. Other pizza businesses give you frozen cardboard, what a sad joke. I even spoke face-to-face with the owner of the place off of East U. and he wasn't concerned that he was serving a pre-made, processed, frozen, generic base for his gluten free pizza. Its like being told one-hour old coffee is fresh - just because I longer can eat gluten, I do have taste buds. In fact, one really misses the great crusts of Zingerman's bread, but such is life. The guys here are very friendly and care about their customers. My only suggestion is to branch out into some different crust styles, if the dough/batter allows it - a thin crust with arugula on top would be yummy. read more

What a happy little neighborhood find. Stadium Market is very much your corner market in terms of a small-but-decent selection of refrigerated goods (e.g., pre-made sandwiches, butter, milk, cookies), some ice creams, some chips, and some pantry goods (e.g., jelly, hot sauce, crackers). Stadium Market is much MORE than your corner market in terms of the deli counter (e.g., fresh pizza, freshly sliced meats and cheeses), and a wide selection of beers, wines, and liquors. I'm particularly impressed by their individual beer selection. Beers that you usually see in a 4- or 6-pack are sold individually. I've never gotten any to know how the price compares, but my experience with Stadium Market suggests they're not as cheap as a full-blown grocery store, but they're a lot cheaper than most convenience stores. I've also found the people who work in the store to be very friendly and patient. read more

Excellent and extensive selection of liquor here! And it's more than just a liquor store- there's actually really good food here too! Pizzas and calzones are to die for, but if you're a health nut, their salads and low-carb wraps (chicken salad wrap is unbelievably amazing) are very tasty as well. I live right around the corner, so it's easy and convenient, but it's also really good! True, they don't have the lowest liquor prices in town, but the selection really couldn't be better. I was recently looking for Arak and had a handful of choices! In addition, they have a generous wine selection, and sometimes excellent deals. Watch out for some of the closeout bottles as, well, there's a reason for that. But in general, it's hard to go wrong. Unless, of course, you try the Hungarian wine. Lastly, there's a rather impressive selection of Kosher wine including brut sparkling. And some of it's pretty decent, too--so when you need to take a bottle to a dinner party, Stadium is your spot. Okay, so this might sound funny, but I absolutely love their wrap sandwiches. All under $5, there's really nothing special about them, except that they're super tasty! Especially the cranberry tuna salad wrap. And although the wraps are not gluten free, there's a rather large selection of gluten free products--including pizza! And as far as I can tell, it's one of the only places one can still buy anchovy-stuffed olives for a tasty martini treat! read more

Do not be fooled by the generic appearance of the store front. This place is awesome! They have fantastic gluten free pizza. Every component of it is outstanding, and it doesn't upset my stomach at all, which is magical because typically even gluten free pizzas bother me. Also, it's amazingly cheap. And, if they happen to have a batch of the dough ready, they give you a big discount for no reason. It's like they are single-handedly trying to make up for all the injustices of being gluten free. I am so grateful for the wonderful variety of healthy foods and snacks they provide at all hours of the day and night. I really enjoy seeing their smiling faces every time I go in there. And taking one of those awesome pizzas home is just a guarantee of a sublime evening. read more

I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Stadium Market. This is my first 5-star review so hopefully that will give you a good idea of how amazingly delightful this little gem is. As others have mentioned, Stadium Market has gluten-free pizza. Although I haven't had the pleasure of trying the GF pizza, I should mention that I have tried their gluten-free sandwiches and BOY are they good. If you have celiac disease, you know how hard it is to find a sandwich/pizza/etc., which is gluten-free *and* has the same mouthwatering flavor of the non-gluten-free equivalent. Well, look no further: Stadium Market's gluten-free sandwiches are to die for and don't sacrifice flavor along the way. I've tried both the turkey rueben and normal rueben (with corned beef) and they are both phenomenal. They use Udi's bread and grill it so it's nice and crispy--just greasy enough to taste great without being overbearing. It gets better: the sandwiches are all under $8 and it's only $1 more for the gluten-free bread and on top of that, they actually give you TWO sandwiches (since the gluten-free bread is a tad smaller than normal bread). I should also quickly add that yes, they have an excellent selection of liquor. Although I haven't tried any of the pastas, tuna salads, etc. that they have in the market area, they all look delicious and I am constantly tempted to purchase something. This is a review of Stadium Market based solely as a liquor store, as I have never eaten there and now probably never will go there again. I visited today because a somewhat rare Founder's beer was released and stores around town had it for sale. The beer sold at the brewery for $17/btl, I was able to purchase a bottle at a local grocery store for $16. Stadium Market wanted $40, which is blatant price gouging and totally unacceptable. I've heard now from friends that they have done this in the past with other high profile releases. So if you are a fellow beer snob, don't give these people your business! read more

After reading a bunch of good reviews, we decided to give this place a shot since we were craving pizza. The main guy making pizzas (didn't catch his name) was really friendly and helpful. Ordering the pizza was a good experience, but eating the pizza was an incredible one. This pie was better than all but the very best regular pizzas. My house decided to buy 2 kegs from here and had the intention of returning the 2nd one if we didn't use it. The person I spoke with on the phone said that this was fine as long as the keg had ben kept cold overnight. As predicted, we used only 1 keg. When I tried to return the unused keg the owner said that it was not possible and that they would not refund it or any part of our purchase. We found this very frustrating because we chose to buy from Stadium Market because they had what we wanted AND because they said we could return the unused keg. We would have been much happier if the owner would have honored the word of his employee and refunded our money. The error was their's but they wouldn't accept responsibility for it. I prefer to support companies that train employees well and take responsibility for problems when someone screw up. read more

I finally had the gluten free pizza! While it wasn't the best I've ever had, I'm pretty sure this is the best locally available fresh made gluten free pizza. Best of all, it's pretty big (14" -- not personal pan sized!), the crust isn't immediately identifiable as store bought cardboard crust, it only takes them a half hour to make it (speedy!), and the staff is knowledgeable and supportive about being GF. They also carry a variety of other GF foods and BEER (redbridge, Bards, and New Grist last I checked-- and of course ciders) as well as GF cookies, crackers etc. My conlcusion is that it's well worth the trip down Packard and would probably have been even better if we'd picked it up and eaten it quicker or stuck it back in the oven for a minute to get the cheese all bubbly.
