After a few months, I decided to check out PT based on a friend's suggestion. My physical therapist, Elyse, was phenomenal. She's knowledgeable and approachable, and was happy to answer the *endless* questions I had about my exercises, how strengthening works, preventative measures, etc. She was incredibly patient with me, working to explain everything because it was essentially my first time doing rigorous exercise, and reassuring me that I would be able to walk and run like normal again! I started out limping and one month later, I was jogging across the room. What I found most helpful at BSM was that Elyse would model the exercises first, correct me as I was doing them, and then emailed me a list of what to do at home. Not only was my PT professional, but she was also kind, warm, and friendly. Our sessions never felt burdensome because we chatted throughout them; Elyse is very good at building rapport! I highly recommend BSM for its great staff and customer service skills, as well as care during COVID. My successful healing definitely wouldn't have been possible without PT and Elyse's encouragement and guidance!

The volume of patients in this practice is far beyond the capacity of the space and the staff. It's not a calming or healing place at all and you will feel like you are just a body part on a conveyor belt. You cannot be confident that your provider will respond to your outreach at all, let alone in a timely manner. So much of recovery is about not just body, but mind and spirit. People have to feel seen, cared for, and humanized in order to heal. This company's business model is fundamentally in conflict with those objectives.

WOW AMAZING! GREAT!…read more I have heard good and bad stories about different places for Physical Therapy. (I have a torn PCL and MCL problems, and needed a place to go!) I looked at other places people recommended, but MGH was right next door to work - so I hoped I could go there (for convenience as well as reputation) Once I confirmed with my insurance I could, and scheduled up a few appointments, I started on my way BACK to a strong leg and knee! Asyou walk in, you see all the framed jerseys from Athletes, from David Ortiz to Ray Bourque and more... Yes, a lot of Boston Pro athletes (and pro athletes form elsewhere) go here, so you know it MUST be top notch. The equipment and facilities are top notch, as you would expect, from the locker room with showers, to the machines and therapeutic equipment. My therapist, Kailin, is GREAT. She has the patience to deal with a difficult and stubborn patient like me (yes, I said it, and will admit it!), and the knowledge and experience to help me out. I have pushed aside my imaginary knowledge, stubbornness and desire to do things my way and put myself in her hands 100%, and could not be happier. So far after a month, I can tell positive change, and as long as I keep listening to her versus ignoring her, I have no problem I will keep improving! The other staff around has always been helpful (they are busy, so people help out on some things), and they have always been accommodating on every aspect. I ave never been afraid to ask another therapist a question or for something if Kailin was not in the immediate vicinity. The front desk staff of Vicki and Harry is also top notch. Very helpful, friendly, and work to help you get in when you can versus the entitled nature you find at some offices. (in other words, they put you, the patient first all the time) Understand before you go, MGH is BIG. You have to register with the hospital, get your MGH ID card/number, and it might take an extra week or two to get an appointment. But in my case, where i suffered a traumatic injury nd had to heal, I would RATHER go to teh best, instead of the quickest. I hope you never have an injury or a need to go here, but if you do, and you need PT for a joint or tendon (or anything), then This IS THE place to go in Boston... who knows, you may find yourself on a table next to one of Bostons finest athletes.. sharing in the best PT and rehab in the city!

She is not just knowledgeable and right on point about a treatment plan that has helped me me get stronger and in considerable less pain, but she really listens to where I'm at in this journey and adapts my routine and talks through the whole picture- not just pain, but what daily activities can be shifted and identified for me to feel better. This was by far my worst Chiropractic experience ever, and I have been seeing chiropractors on and…read moreoff for more than 15 years. Problem 1: After making it clear that I was in excruciating, I can barely walk pain, the doctor told me that she couldn't treat me the same day, but that I would have to come back to be treated in the future. In all my years of chiro experience, including having now been to 2 others in the directly surrounding area, this has NEVER happened before. Problem 2: They are extremely unprofessional and disorganized. There is constant confusion about payments, how much one owes, whether or not doctors are in or out of network, you CANNOT trust that they will be able to verify anything with your insurance company accurately or correctly, etc. Oh, and they only take cash, but never have change. Really? A doctor who only takes cash? Again, never heard of such a thing. Problem 3: After 3 or so visits (which I regret having done in the first place) the doctor said "huh, you seem to be my problem patient for the week. I can't seem to quite get at that one area where you're out of alignment." She was entirely incapable of helping me get better. Again, I have never had a chiropractor who was unable - physically, professionally or what have you - of providing services that offered some degree of relief. Avoid at all costs and go to Dr. Grossi or Dr. Maddalo near by - they are both in an entire other league above!
