Carpets and couches had stains. Looked like a store fallen on hard times. Waste of time to go there. Sales associate while not rude was a little too casual. Never going back.

I figured it would be a good thing to support a local business rather than schlep myself to DSW and be dissapointed with last year's selection or to Oak Brook and be robbed. I was so glad I went here! I came in just to see if I could find some Vans and left with a replacement pair of blue Vans and ordered a new hunter green style of Danskos. The husband also found a mock-suede pair of slip ons and our salesman waited on us both, answering all of my (many) questions without rushing us at all. I asked about the Sperrys and he told me to wait to spring for the next styles that seemed more my style based on what I said I was looking for. To me, that sold me on being a permanent customer because he was not just trying to move stock, but trying to make sure I was happy with my purchase. My ordered shoes were in after less than a week and I love them! I also love that parking is easy in this area - and the tapas restaurant we like is across the street - food and shopping? That's all me, all the time.

The whole process was really in depth but fun and I enjoyed chatting with her too! I settled on some very cute pink Hoka Cliftons which are a massive upgrade from what I came in wearing. There wasn't any pressure to get something right then but since my chosen color was in stock in my size, I walked out wearing my purchase! Yes, these shoes are expensive but so far they are worth every penny. I will be back for sure when I need my next pair of sneakers.

The moment I stepped in -- wearing Crocs and baggy shorts, minding my own business -- the staff seemed to collectively decide I wasn't worth the oxygen it would take to acknowledge me. Not a nod, not a "Hi," not even the bare‑minimum retail grunt. Just pure, practiced invisibility. Meanwhile, anyone who walked in looking like they'd just finished mile 27 of an ultramarathon was greeted instantly. They were ushered around, fitted, advised, practically celebrated. I watched people enter the store after me and get helped before me, repeatedly, as if the employees were running some unspoken triage system based solely on appearance. If you don't look like you're training for the Olympics, good luck -- you're background scenery. The semi‑open layout only makes the whole thing worse. You stand there, fully visible, watching staff weave around you with the kind of deliberate avoidance usually reserved for potholes and wet paint. It's a special kind of irritation -- being ignored so thoroughly that you start to wonder if you've slipped into another dimension. If you're an elite runner, or at least look like one, you'll probably be treated like royalty. If you're not, prepare to be a ghost in Crocs.

Too many times while he was growing up did his uncle show up and head off to Hawks games with his dad leaving a very, very unhappy young man with his mom. Thanks Amy, you're a saint! Well B is now old enough that we can't do that anymore and now have taken him to a few games. B has also been playing hockey for a few years now and at the age of 10 is one heck of a skater. He loves to play and this weekend he actually didn't have a game so we went to the local outdoor rink to play. After a few hours my brother asked if we could stop of Gunzo's to get his skate's sharpened and to get some other items for his team. I was thrilled to go as I grew up going to this place and haven't been here in over 20 years. Walking in the place is decked out in Hawks items. They also have plenty of skates, stick and equipment. Going back here brought back all sorts of great memories of my youth. While my brother and nephew were getting some items I took the opportunity to look around at all the other items they had for sale. With Christmas and birthday's our budget was running a bit tight however I accept full responsibility for giving into my temptation to purchase an old school banner from the old Stadium. Too many great memories from that old barn and I just had to add that to our Hawks themed man cave. After all if we can't make it to all the Hawks games at least we can make the area that we watch them seem like home.
