The room was incredibly clean!!! You can tell they put hard work into making sure each inch of the place is cleaned and prepped for each guest. In this trip We've visited 13 states, and used multiple hotels and restaurants stop bathrooms.... The ThunderBird Lodge by far had the BEST toilet paper we've used since being at home. Small detail? Yes. Big difference? holy CRAP (no pun intended) yes! This was our first time in Oklahoma, and Mel made sure to let us know about tornado warnings and what channel to watch the storm on. She was very concerned about our safety, and made sure to notate which car was ours and which ones didn't belong to guests, to eliminate sketchy people and keep the guests safe. There was also a cute little cat that roamed the parking lot and let us pet him. A really great stay and really great atmosphere!

Geez...I must have lost a lot of money to have gotten that room many...years ago. Now they only give me a King suite, but at least it's free. Is it free though? HECK NO. The King suite at Riverwind is about the same as other 3 star hotel's King suite. It's nice and comfortable, with decent amenities and service. Customer could have been friendlier, but apparently the receptionist only slept 3 hours. Yeah, she appeared fatigue. Can't really complain much here because at least they give you a little back for your losses. If they would have given me the presidential suite, then I would have given a better rating.

There is a bar area with amazing bartenders and social activities during the week. The facility has pool tables, a gym, massage room and great fitness area. I came when it was a little cool, but I did get a peek at the pool. The lobby area had lots of chairs. The training rooms were nice. There were some technical issues with some of the rooms. That was the only thing that I would recommend improving. I would definitely love to come back. The staff were so attentive and very helpful. I was really impressed.

My band was playing an event at Lake Texoma, and I hired Shawn (and paid him in full) to pick the band up at DFW on a Friday morning and then take them back there on Sunday morning. Neither of those things ended up happening. He called me Friday morning two hours before their scheduled pick up time to tell me his car broke down. I was upset, but moved forward knowing these things happen. I got the band an Uber that cost $200, and Shawn refunded the amount for the trip. HERE's where it really gets interestin...I called Shawn later that day and told him explicitly that if he anticipated ANY issues with the return trip to let me know NOW. The return trip was scheduled for a 4am pickup, and there are not any last minute options out at Lake Texoma should something go wrong. He swore that he would personally be there "even if he had to use his personal vehicle" and that I had nothing to worry about. I awoke on Sunday to find a text from Shawn from 2:30am sat he "had a Hell of a weekend" and was sick and wasn't going to make it. At this point it was 3:30am and the only choice I had was to borrow a friend's rental car and make the 4 hour round trip drive myself to take the band to the airport. I sent Shawn a text voicing my extreme frustrations in his business practices. According to the business Facebook page, he had just done a drop off at a strip club at 11pm, and he was obviously still up, as he IMMEDIATELY responded to my text. I told him I believed he was a liar and a low life. and he then sent me a ridiculous 3 paragraph text saying that he had a driver named "John" that was 5 minutes away that he was sending home because I was rude. I did not even reply, as at this point I was driving my band to the airport. I felt my phone going off multiple times on my drive and finally looked to see several paragraphs of texts from Shawn calling me horrible names, cussing me out, and a bunch of other aggressive and offensive ranting. He also tried to call me, but I did not answer. I really wish I would have looked through this guy's reviews before I hired him. I wanted to use someone local and support a small business, but this was an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. Reading through his past reviews, I see that this is normal behavior for him and he is known for being very verbally aggressive whenever he is called out. I fully expect him to find this review and attack me and this whole review platform as a respons, but every word I have said here is true. DO NOT trust this guy with your business or your money.

Shawn was kind, extremely professional while being a down to earth, good kind gentleman. He was very informative of his company credentials, his ETA, location and pick up times. He went above and beyond to ensure my daughter was safely and comfortably transported to her destination over 50 miles away. He was in his vehicle and on his way as we hung up the phone.
