I have been here for work I enjoy my stay at NCED! What a good environment! My fav is a huge gym! Hot tub, sauna And other sport like basketball court, pingpong, boxing bag and big swimming pool. They got buffet this time they decor fresh flower on the table But I didn't eat there since I am vegan. I like how the service always smile and friendly. The hotel has fridge in hotel room and many laundry rooms in the building. ice machine not too far from. There always someone cleaning, help the hotel clean all the time. The front desk always helps whatever I needed. And the restaurant and bar with karaoke every Fridays night also games on other schedules. So much entertainment in the hotel. The school just across the street! Very convenient! Thank you everyone for making me feel welcome every time I got here. My room this time close to the road Street. It's loud but it's ok I only hear for a week.

Nice .... Hotel and conference center. Postal facility but and option for any company to use. They have good food lots of food. I never ate this much in my life way too many choices at the daily breakfast lunch and dinner buffet. I enjoyed the bar area they have sing bingo and karaoke nights to break up the boredom that can occur on a work training trip .... Huge gym with full sized basket ball court. Olympic sized pool with cabanas .... Indoor track above basketball court ..... rooms were very cozy.... No complaints there. They have shuttles available for airport transport and scheduled store and casino runs ...

Wow. A drop in both accommodations and services from my last visit. Check in was unbelievably difficult. Our group's reservation was totally screwed up (and to no fault of our business office). I'm still not sure our personal credit cards weren't charged. We were berated twice by desk clerk as to how our office was at fault. No refrigerator in rooms so be aware. Only reason for two stars and not one is that our conference facility was great.

Gigantic gym with everything, even 50lb kettlebells, blood pressure station, and scales.

NCED stands for National Center for Employee Development, and its the training center for the US Postal Service. One of the chefs told me there's lots of technology involved with sorting and distributing mail more efficiently. Its also a Marriott-managed hotel open to the public and a popular spot for conventions in the OKC/Norman area. I stayed here for 4 nights for a technical conference and rate the overall hotel a solid 5 stars in terms of amenities, food, rooms, and service. In fact, I was sold on Day 1 once I took advantage of the rec center! Recreation - I used the gigantic weight room once but played Ping Pong and Billiards daily during the break. For Ping Pong, they had decent-quality tables from Butterfly and racquets by Stiga! Also a full hardwood basketball court! Food - They only have the Sooner Grill (cafeteria style place for breakfast, lunch, dinner), private catering, and Route 66 bar. It seems limited but these hotel chefs crank out really amazing and consistent food. My favorites were the omelet station (almost like a perfect crepe/burrito but with thin egg wrap and grilled meat and veggies inside) and their buffet-style catering menu which varied each day (chicken parmesan, brisket, pasta station, even currywurst). Rooms - Small but comfortable. Soft bed and very powerful shower system. Business Amenities - Free wifi, lots of meeting space, a huge business center, and plenty of seating. Catering was always on time and the runners were quick in clearing trays. Daily coffee from Starbucks!

Stayed here, 6/18/18 - 6/22/18 for a USPS training. You can also book here if you are staying in Norman. Also, there is a liquor store/gas station within walking distance. I really enjoyed this place, and would return even if I did not have training. This place was relaxing. Below is my review. Smoking Non smoking rooms. Large Smoking Courtyard for Smokers Rooms - $109 Mon - Friday. Standard room with Queen bed. Small desk, flat screen TV, tub and Shower. Rooms were not bad, but the decor and style is old, not a modernized hotel. Staff - Very nice and friendly. Gift shop - Souvenirs and also serves Starbucks Coffee. Food Excellent Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner buffet with a lot of options. There is a late night for USPS employees from 12am - 2am. I ate Chicken Fried steak, pork loin, bbq pork ribs. Large salad bar. Baked potatoes station with toppings. Pizza and sandwich bar. And so much more. Car Rentals There is a car rental in this facility, or you can walk over to Enterprise rent a car. Facility Large bar with a Monday Happy hour from 3pm - 9Pm. Everyday Okie Delight $5 special. Tue-Thur karaoke. Bar prizes are a lot lower than a Marriot Hotel. Billiard room with 3 tables. Shuttle runs to take you to activities outside the hotel. Large outdoor pool and spa. $65 massage. Business Center. Large training facilities.

My husband wanted to surprise me with a "Gilmore Girls" type wonderful inn experience and it was such a treat! We stayed in one of the cottages and it was absolutely charming. I loved the comfortable living area and cozy fireplace. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was wonderful and had amazing water pressure in the shower. I loved the way the rooms were decorated with cute old fashioned decorations that were Oklahoma themed (we had a birdhouse themed room one night.) One thing I really loved was how wonderful they were about accommodating my medical issues. I have gluten sensitivity and also severe migraines, which make me very sensitive to light. They were so nice about unplugging some lights out on the porch that were bright so that I could sit by the windows without getting a headache. As for the food, sometimes when you're traveling and have to find gluten free food on the road, it can be a bit of a challenge, but oh, the food here was DIVINE! Breakfast one morning was a gluten free omelet with all the fixings, plus a big varied selection of fruit, plus GF cinnamon toast, plus there were these great smoothies. So good! Another day, it was these delicious gluten free blue corn pancakes that I practically inhaled, plus really yummy home fried potatoes with pork, plus a selection of fruit and the wonderful fruit smoothies again. There were even gluten free cookies available upon arrival! We'll definitely be staying there again the next time we drive through Oklahoma City!

The room was incredibly clean!!! You can tell they put hard work into making sure each inch of the place is cleaned and prepped for each guest. In this trip We've visited 13 states, and used multiple hotels and restaurants stop bathrooms.... The ThunderBird Lodge by far had the BEST toilet paper we've used since being at home. Small detail? Yes. Big difference? holy CRAP (no pun intended) yes! This was our first time in Oklahoma, and Mel made sure to let us know about tornado warnings and what channel to watch the storm on. She was very concerned about our safety, and made sure to notate which car was ours and which ones didn't belong to guests, to eliminate sketchy people and keep the guests safe. There was also a cute little cat that roamed the parking lot and let us pet him. A really great stay and really great atmosphere!

She went above-and-beyond in every way to make sure our stay was great (even brought water bowl & treats up for my pup!). Some things to keep in mind: - it's an older place so don't expect "fancy" furnishings, but everything is extremely well-cared for, clean, and thoughtfully arranged - the overall grounds are fun to roam around--make sure to visit the gazebos and pool area turned into dog park! - they are updating some things like the TVs and making it even more dog friendly (it's already extremely dog friendly!) so stay tuned for more ... The staff and chefs were obviously maintaining the food so it was freshly prepared. I rated the service as mostly excellent, even though we had to wait a bit to be seated. The waitress checked on our table several times as we dined. I rated the restaurant as very clean with cleaned tables, surface areas, and floors.

Since this is the whole Casino itself, will be reviewing the establishment itself…read more I've been to other Casinos from my home country and Las Vegas and I would say, definitely a far cry to those Casinos. Some said there were some designated smoke areas but it seems like people smoke anywhere regardless. People are also dressed like they're just going to walmart or something. There were actually other eating places here, but we went for the Riverwind Buffet. Unfortunately, the rules were not really upheld because it was mentioned that the whole party must be in line but some people in front of us kept going in and out of the line. Not really the fanciest buffet compared to the ones I've been to especially Las Vegas. The selection is also very limited and personally the only best thing here is the Snow Crabs and their good selection of desserts. The calamari may be a good contender. Thankfully my baby loves their one and only soup which is the Broccoli and Cheddar. Unfortunately, even their one and only best thing had issues for me. I felt like some of the served crabs were not fresh and it gave off a really bad smell and weird taste giving me the impression that they've gone bad already. So, I would advise people not to just eat the crabs willy nilly without properly assessing it. Wish they had a cracker and some gloves to offer as well to help with eating the crabs especially the claw part. The server that we had was kind and attentive but lost our receipt. Thankfully the lost receipt wasn't an issue during our stay. The ambiance, like I said, isn't the best compared to other buffets to the Casinos I have been to in the Philippines and Las Vegas. Like personally, unfortunately, the Philippines Casino and Buffet is heaps better and most of the Casinos (which is most I have been to) in Las Vegas is like miles away from the Riverwind Casino and thats also in terms of their Buffet and ambience. It could have been better being one of the only few Casinos near OKC. One major complaint I have is the lack of bathroom inside the buffet area as it only had a one room/stall for each gender. Like you have to go outside the buffet to use the bathroom and even wash your hands if you can't wait for it. Thankfully the bathrooms in the casino area seems to be well taken care of as someone keeps cleaning it. The way to the bathroom in the buffet area is also disgusting as you would see all the left overs and unwashed plates on the way there. Overall, for a family birthday celebration, it was still okay and not the worst but not the best. Despite the crab issues, it is still worth coming back for it as the price justifies it especially if you love crabs (which is only available on Saturdays). Would definitely advise you all to come early as we spent majority of our time (like probably 1-2 hrs) waiting in line for the buffet.

Review for Hampton Inn…read more As a full-time character to my husband with brain cancer, it's often that I need respite which includes a nights rest out of the home. So I chose the Hampton Inn and suites. It's not too terribly far from my house and close to some comforts that I enjoy. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and smelt clean but not in a 'hey we just bleached/Lysol the place' way. Because lest be really no one likes that The room was nice and quiet. For 50+ mph winds it was more quiet than my house! There were even dogs two rooms down and I only knew this because I came out of my room the same time they did. So I LOVED the peace and quiet this hotel provided me. The towels were soft the water was nice and warm. I loved that the bedding wasn't just a thin layer and I felt comfortable throughout the night. The thermostat was easy to use and there wasn't a delay or awkward smell that came from the vent. (can you tell I've stayed at some questionable places lately ) I overslept for breakfast (which was open until 9am oops) I had such a good nights rest! The second night I barely squeezed into breakfast to snag an oatmeal bowl before they fully closed and I was pleasantly surprised how good the oatmeal was and it was still perfect temp! But if you're really not into what they have or you much prefer your favorite drink, like a grande mocha to pump at Starbucks (my hubs go-to), no fret! Starbucks is walking distance from the hotel. Or maybe you're more of a McDonald's person that's close by too. The downstairs area is very welcoming and spacious. They have a downstairs bathroom, which is nice and big and clean. I did not check out the pool area or the laundry area though my dog neighbor said the laundry area was great. This is the perfect stop for your travel journey, a work trip, or a staycation like I did. Though my husband wasn't with me- Notes- Plenty of blue parking spaces. Easy entrance to navigate with automatic doors. Wide hallways and spaces typical size elevator. Surprisingly lighter weight doors than most of the handicap accessible rooms I've been in. I didn't reserve an accessible room since it was just so I can't speak on those features. But the downstairs area had plenty of tables where he could've rolled up and the downstairs bathroom had plenty of space. I could've taken him in there and cleaned up if needed.

But the price has been OK so it has been acceptable in the past. Tonight I came in after a long day's work and the kid at the front desk refused to give me a bottle of water (costs them less than a dime) even though I'm a diamond member of long standing. He turned me down with a smug smirk and pointed to a sign suggesting that because this is run by a franchisee, that Hilton protocols don't have to be followed. So it's attitude. And this guy's attitude stunk to high heaven. I will never stay at this property again when in Oklahoma City and ask other prospective guests to reconsider and stay at a different Hilton property instead. Hilton promises on signs to make problems right or the night is free. Even a call to customer care did not fix that, so don't think that as a guest you have any protection from abuse because you really don't. The only way to settle their hash is to stay elsewhere:
