He convinced me to wave my preliminary and take the first plea agreement that was offered. That was a huge mistake and I didn't know any better and was never informed about what any of this meant because he never once came to talk to me. I was charged for a crime I didn't commit and paid with Three years of my life because he didn't do a damn thing to defend me. He even refused to put in for a bond review after I asked repeatedly. If I would have known I could have had him fired I would have in a heartbeat. As a paid for attorney he will put in effort but if he is court appointed he will do nothing he doesn't care about justice or the people. He is in my opinion corrupt and scandalous and so is the prosecuting attorneys that he makes deals with to get his paid for clients off of charges while he throws his court-appointed clients under the bus for them. There is no way to prove this but it's pretty obvious. Mr. Martin failed to appear for court date that he, himself, arranged 4 months earlier using video court. Court was rescheduled a week later in which Mr. Martin dropped his representation of me 3 hours before my rescheduled date. When I asked for my money back he laughed and told me to get lost. You are introduced to his temperament almost immediately when speaking with Mr. Martin. Mr. Martin has many claims open with the Nebraska State Bar Association and I am shocked to see he is still allowed to practice law.
