If you are unlucky enough to get left on hold calling in they will never make an effort to pick back up. Miraculously if you call back they answer right away, it is just not good business practice. Overall the reviews here are bad, not all the employees are though. The fault seems to be more about money driven and less customer satisfaction driven. I am curious if an investigation was made into false insurance claims there may be fraud taking place. If someone has a positive review regarding insurance I want to see it. read more

The facility is clean and organized and the entire staff that I encountered were all friendly and helped ease my nerves.

One hour and forty-five minutes before I saw the dentist. Got a yeah sorry about that - saying the words without any meaning. I never got my cleaning, was told that they would need to make another appointment. Waited to talk to the office manager, who said they were slammed this morning - um, so you overbooked appointments? Then she said that she could get someone to do a cleaning. I said no thanks! Also interesting, I observed a lot of appointments to get cavities filled. They told me I had one too. This was my second trip to this office. Both times I have been charged for things that my insurance has covered!! I have seen 2 different doctors who were very nice and professional but the people at the front desk are rude and unprofessional. I can't possibly be the only one that this is happening to. I give a one, because they do not provide 0. I went in to have a crown replaced. i had the crown done at Chapin Smiles in 1999 and insurance doesn't pay for another crown for 5 years. After X-rays and exam and then a lengthy wait , I was told they would not replace because I had not kept up with my 6 month exams. i feel that they are there for the money quota and this is no more than a shake and bake them organization. when you go in after initial visit, you are verbally told what you are signing for and you are not aware of what you are signing for. My experience at Chapin Smiles was horrible. First of all the front desk lady was rude, they turned on music that was so loud I had to ask them to please turn it down some. They wanted me to pay full price for a cap even though my insurance was paying 50%, they said if my insurance paid they would reimburse me afterwards. I walked out and was just broken by the way I was treated. Will never go back and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

First off Dr.Turner is great and so are the dental staff. The reason why I only will give them 3 stars is because the receptionist is rude and snarky when I or my wife have had questions and talks down to people. She is a terrible first impression for this business and shouldn't be interacting with the public. read more

First class professionalism, exceptional follow-up and no wait time with appointments. I despised going to the Dentist until I found this place. The Dr's and staff are truly the nicest people I have ever encountered and explain all procedures thoroughly. They went out of their way to secure a workable payment plan for me and have exceeded every expectation imaginable. I feel very cared for at Chapin Smiles and used to fear such visits. Thank you for turning a very negative past experience into an enjoyable one! Very good Dentist and Hygienist. Other than that, I would find no reason to use this practice. The office staff is the most UNPROFESSIONAL I have ever seen. They want payment for everything up front, before any work is done. You must sign for everything on an electronic pad, but are never shown what you are signing for. In the middle of my cleaning, one of the office staff came swooping into the treatment room to have me sign (without being able to read anything) for an extra charge for fluoride. I use a dental savings plan, but every quote is printed out at FULL RETAIL price. Then when I object and show them what the price should be, they scribble corrections on my quote, but never change anything on their computer. So, when you arrive for the procedure, you must start all over again and renegotiate the correct price. (While putting up with their sour attitudes.) After having spent about $2,000 so far this year, I had an appointment for another two procedures approaching $2,000. They would NOT HONOR THE APPOINTMENT!!!, saying it was not in their computer. I left quite upset after obtaining the phone number of their corporate office, Pacific Dental Services. No one answers the phone there. I left messages on two separate days, and to date, no one has returned my calls. As I said, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! read more
