Place was clean, modern, and affordable. $25 for wash, cut and style.i have very thick and Curly hair so I thought I'd go to a proper salon that could manage it. Everything in the facility was very nice and clean but my biggest complaint was hair was cut easily 2 inches shorter than I said. I showed the stylist a picture and did not get any feedback from Her until my mane was cut in half. Awful cut, nothing like I asked for. Would not recommend. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Jami L.

Hi, my name is Jami and I have been a Stylist since 1999. I graduated from Capri College in Davenport, Iowa. I have owned Charles Alan Salon since we have opened our doors in 2012. I have been married to my husband, Andy, since 2004 and we welcomed our twins, Eligh and Emeree in 2007. A lot of clients have asked where the name of the salon came from, and I chose to name it after my Dad. He has been a wonderful person in my life, and I thought this would be one way to show him my appreciation. I love what I do, and I can't imagine myself in any other profession. I have a wonderful staff of 6 stylists, most have been with me from the beginning. Thank you to all of our clients past, present and future. Without you, we can't do what we love. We hope to see you soon!

I cannot wait to get this lackluster hack job removed. My husband said I could have done a better job here at home. The salon appeared to be clean, and staff was friendly - but that only goes so far.

I have tried their services a few time but I won't be going back. The cut was pretty bad last time, my hair is frizzy and different lengths. It didn't look anything like the picture I brought in. I had my hair colored as well. I prefer a platinum blonde but the past couple times I've left with orangish yellow ... If that's the look I wanted I could buy a box at the drug store for a lot less money. The ambience is the nicest in Clinton but the stylists are not the best. read more

Absolutely love everything about this salon! Affordable, clean, modern and every stylist is top-notch. If ever there is a problem, any of the friendly staff would gladly make things right if the problem was known. Love this salon! read more
