I came here so I could get some work done and the kids had a ball - reading, using the computer, and playing in the "kitchen". The staff here was so NICE and accommodating. They were really in tune with the kids. We even got invited to a bird demonstration they did from the humane society, and the kids actually paid attention and made me build the bird feeder that we received and learned how to make from the presentation. Definitely adding this one to the library rotation.

Assuming I would not really be back. The second time, I lost internet in my house for a few hours and went there to work on my laptop for work. The third time, I picked up a book that I had reserved online that they had brought over from the other branch. The fourth time I went in to use the computer to print some tax paperwork. Each time the staff members were ready to help and knowledgeable and I'm really glad because I was in a few tight spots there and I felt like the staff was always ready. I'll def be going back to either get books or study.

The college hire contractors to teach their motorcycles course program. The motorcycle instructor, Carlos Velazquez is very unfair, and mistreats minorities, preferably "African Americans," from what I witnessed at the course where the other two African American students, who were the only students who failed the couse out of six-(6) students. In which the only people who passed with flying colors, were three white students, despite their mistakes during the course. PLEASE! Take my advice, if you are a minority, don't waste your time and money, trying to receive a motorcycle certification from this College, because they support their unfair and full of bias motorcycle contractor instructor, when they fail you and take you money. It is a SCAM!

CSM staff members made excuses for the behavior of their colleague, and others just ignored or pushed me off to someone else. This is NOT a good/safe learning environment. Also, constant automatic computer grading errors. I had to repeatedly argue over my grades. I also experienced hostility and dismissive behavior from staff. They care more about projecting the image of kindness rather than legitimately being kind. I am grateful for the few people that actually seemed to care, and a bit disgusted by the staff members that pretended to care in order to "sell" classes to students.

We spent a few minutes talking with them before watching the park film, which gave a great overview of the site's significance. Afterwards, we walked the grassy path from the visitor center to the historic house, Haberdeventure. The path led us past the family cemetery, where old gravestones marked the resting places of generations. The Stone family lived on this estate from the 1700s to 1936. Their contributions to Maryland and the nation were remarkable. The ranger met us at the house for our tour. As we stepped inside, he explained that this was considered a mansion by colonial standards. He shared stories of the Stone family and pointed out original pieces. His wealth of knowledge enabled him to answer all of our questions. After the tour, we spent some time exploring the grounds and taking photos.

If you're into history, the Thomas Stone National Historic Site is worth visiting, but you need to…read morego into it with the proper mindset- one of mourning. The property is well preserved and managed by the National Park Service. There's a parking lot with a dirt path leading to the actual house dating back to 1771 where Thomas Stone, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, lived with his family. In fact, the property stayed within the family until 1936. However, you must know that the grounds were a plantation and enslaved people. It would be wrong to enter the space without acknowledging that tragic fact and grieve as you visit. It's a sad testimony to why systemic racism still exists and it should push us to fight for justice for all today.

In exchanged Maredith management took over the HOA raised the HOA payments from $300.00 to $600.00 with no improvements. I started getting false billing, statements from Maredith management saying I did not pay the HOA fee of $600.00 with a $2300.00 fine. Imagine a $2300.00 fine. With my proof of payment I went to court and lost. the judge order that in spite of my evidence I was ordered by the judge to pay Maredith Management lawyer fees of $300.00. when i appealed the matter the court ignored it. the judge then placed a order giving Maredith management the right to put a lein on my property for $600.00. there is no winning in court against this well organized set up of corruption. that did not end the matter for me. suddenly I was being pulled over by police officers. I even caught on camera two officers with my neighbor tearing down my property. When I filed a complaint with Charles county police Department, Charles county states attorney personally filed criminal charges against me for lying in court. there was not court only pictures of Charles county two officers tearing down my property and my statement. Judicial corruption at its finest. when attempting to fight it in court I attended a court session was arrested by a now benched judge (part of the scheme) stating "I think you have mental problems. I spent 7 days in jail was not allowed to see anyone. I am prior military, had a TS clearance and only my family in the area. this court preyed on my being here alone. they notice the lack of attendance by outside sources whenever I attended court and took advantage of that. I could not believe this was happening to me in America but it was and still is. I had a lawyer who worked with this system to keep me locked up. I won by submitting the evidence (pictures video of the officers and neighbor tearing down my property and proof of the neighbors, who worked with them, false statement. no charges was filed against him) behind my lawyer back and the court had no other choice but to have it admitted. I moved out of Charles county and rented out the house. I found that this is not a problem limited to Charles county but Maryland judicial system as a whole. when ever in court I am guaranteed to loose. no matter what evidence i bring forth or the matter I'm fighting against. currently i have a renter in the house in waldorf who has not paid rent for four months and each time i go to court against her, i find the judges volatile and work within the law to make sure my renter wins. I am selling and getting out of maryland. the new america system
