When I needed help with my companion's health, Dr Loops was very helpful. He is the best at what he offers to alternative healing.

First, I want to mention that the information in the other review about the practice's location is…read morenow incorrect. While it's still on 15-501 south, and a bit past Southern Village, it's in its own building now. The building is very clean and well-maintained. The lobby is large, with multiple ways to break line-of-sight if you have a nervous or reactive dog. There are two sides, so cats and dogs can be separated. It's also very aesthetically pleasing, at least to me! I had a couple instances where I found loose dogs in the area I work in, which is near CPVH. The staff was always happy to assist me and I felt welcomed and as though the staff cares deeply about the animals, which is obviously a plus in this business! When I got my own dog, instead of going the vets in Governor's Village, where my parents took their animals, I decided to take him to Cole Park Vets, because of the friendlier atmosphere. We have had nothing but good experiences. All the people are knowledgeable and good at handling dogs, from what I've seen. My pup is always happy to go back. When he was bitten by a copperhead in the middle of the night and had to go to the emergency vets, Cole Park called us the next day to check on him. When we first started going there, we also received a starter kit which included a Red Dingo tag with my dog's name, my primary phone number, and the vets' number. This struck me as very ingenious and helpful - should my dog get loose, and I'm unable to answer my phone (very unlikely), someone will be able to contact the vets, who would be able to tell them other contact info, or possibly board him until I am reached. We had another experience which really helped cement my liking for this practice. My parents' dog was ill. The Governor's Village vets had said it was depression because my puppy was now the alpha dog (an outdated and unscientific theory). We were getting very worried because my parents' dog was only getting up a couple times through the whole day, and she wouldn't eat. We brought her in for a second opinion at CPVH and walked out with a prescription. When the prescription came up at the drug store as over $700 for three weeks, CPVH worked with us to get her the medicine at a much more affordable price. She started feeling better the next day! Another note: my parents' dog is scared of the scales for being weighed. After weighing her, we were supposed to go into the room behind the scales to wait for the doctor. The dog planted her feet and did NOT want to go further. Instead of fighting with her, we were moved to another room. The staff wanted to make this visit as easy and pleasant for all of us as possible, which is very much appreciated. The kicker is that my parents' dog probably had a tick-borne disease. My father had brought this up as something he was concerned about at the other vets, but they didn't consider it likely. Within a day of taking the meds to fight a tick-borne disease, she perked up again, began eating enthusiastically, and was playing once again. It was a huge relief. CPVH's diagnosis and treatment was cheaper than GV's non-diagnosis. Needless to say, my parents are moving their animals to CPVH as their main vets. My father was raving on the ride home about how much more thorough CPVH's vets were, and how much nicer the facility and experience on the whole was.

I just lost my 16yo terrier, who was all-terrier, all the time. She loved people, did not love other dogs: Cole Park took it all in stride and worked it out. During her last years of life, Namas†é was both deaf and blind and Cole Park continued with wonderful care, affection and kindness. I am so grateful for that. A great veterinary practice.
