That 30 minute delay allowed another animal to get in front of us in the queue and after more than an hour of waiting in the exam room they came into tell my baby wouldn't be seen for hours. We left. Will not come back. The staff is nice but the policy here is shit. read more

Brittany and Dr. Rubenstein made Saturday night at the emergency vet easier for my sick little cat and me. They're still not allowing most people in because of COVID, but they keep you informed along the way. Dr. Rubenstein gave me two options for care and helped me decide that home care would be best for my girl (who hates the vet!). Brittany walked me through everything the doctor told me, and we were on our way home. They tend to be busy on the weekends (I waited four hours), and emergency care won't be cheap. The bloodwork charge was only a little more than what I pay at the regular vet, though, and I was happy to have a diagnosis. read more

During an urgent situation with our beloved dog Rigby, we were met at the the front door of the clinic when we drove up and she was attended to immediately. The entire team was compassionate and kind and worked quickly to put Rigby out of pain and suffering. We were given all of our options for care including saying goodbye to our 16 year old sweet friend. The team gave us as much time as we wanted to make these decisions and ultimately to say goodbye. I MUST leave a review. I am torn between only saying I am speechless over how exceptional EVERYTHING was or going on and on about all the little things I noticed that I have never seen elsewhere. I am quite literally sitting in a chair thinking about where to begin and I find myself shaking my head because I stll cannot believe how amazing that place is. If I opt for the long version, I will run out of room. Know this: You will never, EVER be in a cleaner facility. I challenge anyone to find a single thing that is not buffed, disinfected, vacuumed and wiped down. Even the air returns in the rooms are clear of dust. No kidding! There weren't even any swipe marks on the stainless nor "slap" marks from mops against the kickplates or in the corners. I was floored. I actually asked if they had just renovated but was told it was eight years old. That standard of cleanliness is unmatched in my experience and believe me, I have an eye. Medical care: Look at the CV's. Pretty impressive. Also impressive is my familiarity with many dogs that have gone to Dr. Gallagher. All of the procedures had exceptional outcomes. My 12 year old dog had knee surgery. Dr. Gallagher was great. He raised the possibility that drugs only might be an alternative to surgery in the event I wanted to consider it. That impressed me. I opted for surgery. I was one of those clients that freaked out when I dropped off my dog. Let me tell you, they write everything down about what you can expect. EVERYTHING! For example, my dog has 5 beds with tons of blankets at home. It's absurd. She has never boarded. All I could think about is how freaked out and uncomfortable she would be. Quartet anticipates this and they let you know in writing that your dog will be sleeping on a Tempurpedic mattress with a blanket. Oh..... relief! I took a dog to the vet school for ortho surgery once and he came home with bloody pressure point sores that were huge. Quartet wants your dog to be comfortable, not just be the subject of a procedure. When you pick your pup up Quartet seems to know you will be half-baked on the listening scale due to anxiety and they spend a lot of time reviewing the aftercare sheet with you. If that doesn't sink through, they have anticipated the need to make things easy to understand and IN BOLDFACE TYPE, they give you instructions on what you need to do that night you take your dog home. I was floored by how subjective they were by recognizing how helpful that would be. They also assure you that any calls with questions are more than welcome. They mean it! PAIN CONTROL: Unmatched. Let me say it again, it is unmatched. I have had experience at the vet school with three ortho procedures. Never again. Quartet beats the pants off them in every way. My dog was sent home with a Fentynal patch and other pain meds. The stupid vet school never did this nor have any other practitioners based on feedback from friends who have taken their dog to other facilities. I will always be stunned by how exceptional EVERYTHING has been. I cannot say enough about my experience with Quartet and Dr. Gallagher. It is the role model for all other clinics. Go. I expected great things from the rehab department at this location but my experience was terrible. I emailed multiple times about my dog's rehab. We had surgery done out of state and I was trying to follow the surgeon's guidelines for no rehab or ROM done on my dog's knee until 4 weeks. I had an appointment at 4 weeks but I was offered an appointment at 2 weeks post op since I initially wanted something earlier before I got guidelines from his surgeon. I mentioned his limitations and my concern it was too soon. I was told it would be ok as they see dogs at 2 weeks "for initial consultations to begin modalities like LASER." I wanted the laser treatment and an initial consult seemed ok, so I took it. I repeated his restrictions three times in my emails with their staff following booking this appointment. At no point was I told he would need ROM done on his knee and that they would be expecting I do rehab before 4 weeks. Despite this, when I arrive at my appointment I am told ROM will be done on his knee and I was berated for trying to follow the surgeon's advice. Dr. Shults assumed I was lying since his discharge notes didn't specifically state it wasn't allowed. I was asked why I made an appointment for 2 weeks despite rehab not starting until 4 weeks. I was told laser couldn't be done without ROM being performed on the knee, despite the laser being done on his back. All of my conversations were done via email and it was easily verifiable how many times I stated his restrictions and when I stated my concerns about 2 weeks being too soon. Dr. Shults had a horrible attitude and was extremely unkind. If this was an out of state surgery she had performed, she would have expected me to follow her advice when I did rehab elsewhere. I cannot believe she treated a first time customer in this manner and it's turned me off of Quartet indefinitely. There are many other vets out there. I'd suggest finding a different one. read more

No one wants to take their fur baby , dog or cat for emergency care on a holiday but that's exactly what I needed for my dog on Thanksgiving morning. I'd never been here and called ahead. The gal Kelsey was so kind and empathetic and explained the process and initial price exam and told me to come on in. I next met the vet tech , Kristin who was equally kind and put us in an exam room. A little later we had the pleasure of meeting Dr Jeffries. She took her time explaining what might have caused my dog's diarrhea and her advice and plan of care. Vet tech Daniel was also very kind and gentle with my dog who's a large German Shepherd. They were fast and efficient--no wait at all and both the doctor and the other staff people were very competent and explained things well. One of those nights when you get home from work and your pup has an eye shut in pain. Time to go to the ER. Well, the experience from check in to check out was a breeze. I had called just to verify the wait time and was told possibly 45 mins to an hour but I was put in a room immediately after check in and a doctor was in to see us within 20-25 mins. The staff were all friendly and the vet was knowledgeable and compassionate. I appreciate when you go over the patient history with the technician and they actually listen and relay that information to the vet. I had told the technician that I had previously worked as an ophthalmology vet tech hence my paranoia and fear about dog eye injuries and the veterinarian took the time to show me the abrasion on my dog's eye with the fluorescein stain. I just really appreciated how quickly they got me and my dog in and out of there and I appreciate the care of the technicians and veterinarian. They were comforting and made an heartbreaking situation as easy on us as they could. About two weeks later we received a sympathy card in the mail with hand written notes from the entire staff. I have used Quartet for years without issue for both of my labs. Dr. Gallagher has always been pleasant. A few months ago I took my lab in for back leg issues. He had us in and out in less than 20 minutes even with X-rays and basically said "She's going to need surgery on both knees eventually but for now let her be a dog." Ok... I guess?? Could've used more detail but we will get to that when the time comes. Well, fast forwarded and she can barely sit without her legs shaking so I called wanting my clinical summary as well as X-Rays to get a second opinion. After all, surgery on BOTH knees is a huge procedure. Anyone would want to be confident knowing they are making the right decisions for their baby. This is when all went downhill... I was transferred to Dena who calls herself the manager. She wanted to know what it was I needed. I explained I wanted my dog's information so I could get a second opinion, especially since Dr. Gallagher was not very thorough in his last visit with me. Her response "That is very insulting to our doctors. People travel from other states just to see our doctors they are the best." At this point I was in shock... Not quite knowing how to respond. I explained it was going to cost over $10,000 and I wanted to be sure this was 1. What she needed and 2. The cost comparison could be less somewhere else per my regular veterinary office. Dena would not let me finish any of my sentences through our entire conversation and was just talking down to me the entire time. She asked if I was interested in making a recheck appointment so I agreed. She offered 1 time slot 11/22- I told her we were out of town. At that point she huffed and puffed, then offered an afternoon another time. I told her mornings are better (after all, she never asked what works for me- the client). Her response- "Never mind, I can tell you don't want this appointment and we need to reserve appointments for those that need them." Never in my life have I been treated this way by a professional doctor's office. Let alone one that thinks I'm going to spend $10,000 on my dogs knee surgery. Please do your research before taking your animal there. My dogs are my babies and I will do anything for them but if they treat me like this on the phone who knows what goes on behind closed doors!! read more

I took my 3 pound Yorky there with trouble breathing they admitted him and immediately put him in oxygen. I didn't find out until the next morning that he had pneumonia. They waited till the next morning to put him in antibiotics! I went in the next day to take food and meds since they didn't have them and asked to see him and I wasn't allowed to see him. They said I would upset him The next morning I demanded to see him and he really wasn't doing well. He probably should've been put down. My normal vet suggested giving him another day since he could be responding to the anabiotic's at 48 hours. Unfortunately my phone was on do not disturb and they called me to come in to try to put him down and I never got the phone call. However, I would've got a text, finally a call went through after he passed away and they told me that they had tried calling me. They actually told me I should give him a shot even though he had already passed away to accelerate the dying process. This made no sense but I was in shock and said go ahead! I demanded to see him and I'm glad I did. And my fragile state they made me feel bad like he suffered a lot because I could not answer the phone. There is no need to do that. I know don't think I will not take another pet here Their communication is lacking. You will be lucky if you get a call twice in a day. read more

I wasn't going to write a review but what my husband and I went through at Quartet 24/7 ER was horrible and the staff is apathetic. To begin, when we brought our golden in for an emergency after he had fell off the deck with a super swollen arm, we were told that it was "broken completely in half". That scared us, and we were told he would stay overnight and have a surgery consult the next afternoon. That is not what happened. I totally understand that vets are busy. However, I also think it is EXTREMELY important for parents to get updated on how their pet is doing while they are being hospitalized, especially after that is what we were told. That was not the case for us. The only time we got updates was if we called ourselves. Our dog would have stayed another night in the hospital- costing us more money- if I hadn't had called and asked for an update after I was told I would receive one. When I finally get a hold of someone, come to find out his elbow is NOT broken... it's sprained- and that he needs rest and pain medicine. Nobody knew what was going on and always had a different answer for us. The only helpful people were Lori and Stacy, who actually listened to us. They did not make us feel like we were annoying for wanting an update on our dog, which is how everyone else acted. My husband went in to drop off our dogs food and the woman he was speaking to blatantly ignored someone knocking on the door - wouldn't even acknowledge them. It was overall an unpleasant experience and we were just happy to have our dog home with us. Pet owners deserve to feel like their pets are in good hands. Most importantly: we were charged $1600 for our dog to stay overnight for only 2 nights. Keep in mind, if i didn't call at 9 PM for an update (after not getting one all day) our dog would have stayed ANOTHER night because they didn't update as all day and let us know we could pick him up. read more

So I carried in my pup for a broken rear leg, I found the entire staff to be so compassionate and caring I was amazed by the level of care my pup got and by the extremely cordial treatment I received. When I would call in and check on him they would actually go and check on him and give me real time reports and never acted like it troubled them for a second. So fast forward till today 8 weeks later and his leg is healed and everyone there still treated us like we were their only concern, I can not say enough good about this practice and from what I have observed on my visits here they treat everyone like that. I am SO grateful Quartet rehab was recommended to me for my 11+ year old Boxer. Dr. Shults' was AMAZING! She was wonderful with my dog. She took her time getting to know him, bringing in special treats (he has stomach issues) to help make him feel as comfortable and safe as possible. Her exam was so thorough and comprehensive. Her explanation afterwards of what her findings and recommendations were easy to comprehend and follow. I was especially impressed with how easily she rambled off all the medications he currently takes and how the ones she felt he would benefit from wouldn't interfere with the others. During the Covid-19 pandemic, my cat developed a mass in her ear. The mass continued to grow during a period of monitoring with my primary care veterinarian to the point where it was obstructing her ear canal and causing obvious discomfort. We were referred to Quartet VSH and met with Dr Keller. Due to risks associated with surgery in that area, Dr Keller came up with a treatment plan that was conservative but also thorough. He was very careful to take care to remove the mass without creating new problems unnecessarily - thereby relieving her discomfort and instantly returning her quality of life to how it was before the mass developed. Throughout the time we received care, Dr Kelley's bedside manner was wonderful. All of the staff we worked with were wonderful and did an outstanding job of taking care of my cat as well as communicating clearly and being receptive to lots of questions from a thoroughly freaked out cat dad. From the receptionist, Samantha, to the vet tech, Ali, to Dr. Aubrey Brown, this staff was great for an ear infection that my cat FINALLY told me about on a national holiday (of course). They were sweet, quick, and very kind. The entire building is new. Definitely would recommend if your animal isn't feeling good and your vet is closed for a while. Would give 0 stars if I could. Required 3 phone calls to check-in. Waited 2.5hrs in parking lot...no updates. Got through to secretary who stated dog had yet to be seen. Not a big deal when other pets have more acute need, except the lack of communication was ridiculous. In total, waited 4.5hrs. When dog brought to car, she had stool all over her backside & legs. Vet tech response was "oh yeah, sorry about that. We tried to clean up with a baby wipe." Definitely do NOT recommend this vet hospital. Systemic issues. Poor communication. Substandard care.
