F&M Bank

Great bank! Everyone is extremely friendly here and easy to work with. I personally do not have an…read moreaccount here since I don't live anywhere near this bank but it was pleasant that everyone was welcoming and kind. Makes me wish they had locations closer to the South Bay Area. Really great experience, thank you

First, let me say that I'm not a member of this bank. However, I receive a check once a month from…read morea company that does use this bank. I usually just deposit it into my bank account and that's that! For some reason I decided to just go cash it at F&M.... I walked in and the first thing that hit me was the smell of the building. Not a good smell either. I just chalked it up to being an older building. When I looked around I was impressed with the layout and look. I walked up to the counter and asked if I could cash it and she said yes. I signed the back, she asked for a thumb print, she took my ID and started writing all over the back and front... then she says..."it's going to be a $7 charge to cash it for a non members fee " seriously? First of all... could you not tell me this before you wrote all over it? Secondly, I cash my paycheck every 2 weeks at Bank of Stockton without a non members fee! I don't understand that at all. If the check is from your bank, and the money is in their account... why do you have to charge a person to cash it???? That's a big rip off if you ask me. So you all can just sit in your stinky bank looking board af because that's what you were doing when I walked in... absolutely nobody else in there and I'll go back to depositing it in my account for free. The crazy part that gets me is that the company I get that monthly check from has millions of dollars in that bank... you would think that if for no other reason... you would cash them for free as a convenience to your multimillion dollar customer!
