Charles has been tuning for 40+ years. He uses a state of the art electronic tuner to rough out the piano at first, but always finishes by ear. His strong point is tuning each piano to its specific harmonics and bringing out the character of each individual piano. If there is character within the piano, he will work to bring it out. Although he reconditions and does some rebuilding, he especially enjoys bringing lost pianos back to light, working with the customer to bring their piano back to the customer's individual needs & desire. We also do all types of restorations on uprights, grands, players, electrics & reed organs. Pianos should be tuned every 6 months for top performance. In high-humidity areas (basements and older houses), a dehumidifying system should be considered. If no dehumidifier is used, the time between tuning should be shortened to only 4 months. We also do piano moving! We treat your prized musical pieces like our own.
