We were greeted when we arrived, Gina was assisting someone else but we were able to test some beds and found Everything she needed in 1 place, went with the Modern Frame so No Box Spring Needed. She also recognized my daughter as Active Military and Thanked her for her Service. I wrote a review 5 years ago when we bought our first mattress through Charleston Bedding Mattress on Wappoo Road. Under new owners Gina and Davis I have purchased 4 other mattresses and I have always been extremely pleased with the quality ,value and especially the customer service. Just recently, due to my physical handicap, I needed a more accommodating bed frame and mattress to meet my current needs and returned to CBM because of my previous positive purchases.To say that they were helpful is an understatement. After we settled on mattresses and adjustable frames we received a call from Gina a few days later saying that a sales representative had just come to their store and showed them a frame that would further assist me with my physical needs.This frame added a high low option as well as a trendelenburg option to the adjustable frame we just purchased. I had been researching " hospital " beds and for a twin king with the above options and it was over 13, 000 dollars . Gina said she didn't want to sell me anything until they ordered it , set it up in the store. And checked it all out.Well, it was the perfect choice as well as saving me a ton of money. Davis delivered it to the house and since it was a first time experience it took about 2 hrs to assemble and show us how all worked. He even contacted me a few days later to see how we were doing with the bed.SO... check this store out BEFORE you go online or visit another store! My husband and I purchased a king size mattress and box spring from them about 4 years ago they were very nice to us but after 3 years the mattress went down hill it had dents on both sides about 5 to 6 inches deep we had a 10 year warranty on the mattress and tried to o have it replaced They asked for pictures so we sent pictures and then they asked for more pictures as of today we received nothing from them I would not recommend purchasing anything from their store because they did not honor our warranty read more

What a great experience!! This is a local business owned and operated by former military veterans. It was the EASIEST purchase I've ever made. Richard helped us in store by showing us our options, let us stretch out on all the sample beds, explained the many differences between all the options, and pricing plans. We received a number of "gifts" with our purchase and ultimately even bought some awesome new pillows to go with our new bedding. Might as well go all the way, right? Today our new goodies arrived and, man, were those guys good. They were professional and quick. Ten minutes, out with old, in with the new, old packed up for takeaway and plastic coverings gone. WOW. I rarely write reviews, but I just had a fantastic experience at Charleston Bedding Mattress, and would highly recommend this shop if you're in the market for a great mattress at a more than fair price. I hadn't bought a bed in a while, and when my mom desperately needed a new mattress, I spent the better part of a month researching different kinds of beds and the best stores in the area. I visited a Mattress Firm and a Sleepy's and they were both akin to mom and pop used car dealers in their aggressiveness and sleaziness. Then I fell down a rabbit hole of online reviews of bed in a box companies, all of which seem to disguise the same mediocre, overpriced memory foam mattress with fancy packaging and clever marketing. My last two car purchases were less confusing. However, at Charleston Bedding Mattress, Richard provided a pressure-free environment while taking the time to thoroughly walk us through the benefits of several different mattress types. The beds he sells are just as good if not better than big name brands like Temper, Sealy, Simmons, yet at a fraction of the cost. He even offered same-day delivery to my mom's place for free. In the end, the bed is amazing, my mom is happy, and I spent way less than I thought I would. If you're shopping for a new mattress, you absolutely should check this place out. You'll be spending your money towards the best mattress and nothing else. When we first moved to town a mattress was the #1 item on our list for furniture. After a botched attempt to find a decent deal at Mattress Firm we came across this place. The shop is easy to miss and the parking lot is just after the shopping plaza on the corner of Wappo & Ashley River rd. The owner helped us and worked on a good deal for a comfortable king mattress that we got for an absolute steal. We've been meaning to get back over there and grab a frame. This experience was less than stellar. A king mattress and box spring were purchased from this location. The mattress is less than 18 months old and already sags, looks like a hill. Also the box spring is fractured. Assistance was basically non existent, we were referred to the manufacturer Golden and the person we spoke to was beyond rude. Appears a replacement is NOT an option but it was suggested that I purchase a Therapeutic for 3600 and they would give me 1100 off.....seriously. read more

A tip-top experience - genuinely 5-star for friendliness, knowledge, prices and delivery! This week we needed to buy bedding for a new small property, and were attracted to Charleston Bedding by its excellent ratings on-line. We drove to the company without calling, not realizing it was closed on Mondays, but there was a sign inviting appointments. We rang and reached the owner, Richard Fowler, who could not been more gracious, and immediately offered to come to the store (not a 'splashy' facility but quite complete as to offerings), arriving within 5 minutes. His knowledge and concise selection of high quality products impressed us greatly. His mattress/box-spring prices are excellent value, and his bedding and pillow prices are great value too. And, the delivery service deserves real applause. We needed two day delivery, and they arrived at 12:45 in a 12:30-1:30 window. But the really impressive service is this - the box-spring was 1" too big to go up our narrow stairs, so a quick call to Richard sorted this problem, by exchanging the queen box for a two-piece 'split' queen box, which was redelivered and installed withing two hours!
