Lauren showed us several options we liked, and when those were more than we wanted to spend, we asked about remnants. She gladly took us to the warehouse, where we found the perfect carpet within minutes. We placed an order to have it cut to size and bound. After we got home, we realized we needed a little extra length. We contacted Lauren, and she took care of the change without any fuss. When we returned a couple of weeks later, the rug was rolled up and ready to load, along with the extra carpet pieces we can use for runners or smaller rugs later. Lauren was helpful and pleasant throughout the entire process. We especially appreciated that there was never any pressure to buy. It was a breath of fresh air, and we'll gladly return to Carpet-Baggers for our future rug and carpet needs. Thank you, Lauren--keep up the great work!

Compared with other closet companies we looked into - this company was efficient in making the plans (no long PowerPoints to sit through like other companies), had fair pricing and got the job done well on a fairly quick timeline. We recently had an apartment fire and had a restoration company come in and take all the furniture…read morethat was undamaged by the fire to be cleaned. I was skeptical about the couch not smelling like smoke as it was a large wrap around sofa made of microfiber. The couch was only a few months old so I was disappointed to know that I likely wouldn't get it back in acceptable condition. Fortunately, I was wrong and the couch came back good as new. The damage actually occurred on the way back while the restoration company was delivering the couch to our new place. We noticed almost immediately that there was a small tear on the side underneath the arm. We contacted the company and they apologized. They said they would pay for the repair and asked us to find a local company to fix it. It seems there are a bunch of places that do upholstery repair but it's a broad field as some specialize in furniture, boats, or vehicles. I found Nesbitt and called him for a quote. I explained that I was looking to replace a panel on the side of a couch and that I would have the exact cut fabric from the manufacturer (ordered separately). I think he quoted me $150 give or take. That seemed very fair so I had the restoration company pick up the couch and fabric to bring over. He had the job done in a week or so and it was delivered back good as new. Turns out it was only $125 which was even better than I was originally quoted. The couch looks brand new again!

Two years ago, I contacted Alfred Nesbitt to see if he was interested and available to re-upholster…read moretwo living room wing chairs that I fell in love with at Next to New, a consignment shop, in Mount Pleasant. (I randomly selected his name among a list of referrals provided by the front desk at N2N.) Well, it wasn't exactly that simple ... I actually needed him to pick up the chairs at the store the next day ... and hold them at his shop until I found and ordered the perfect fabric. He replied, "No problem" and assured me that my chairs would be safe in his shop until I was ready to move forward. (I did advance a reasonable deposit.) Well, it took me more than three months to find suitable fabric and for the custom order to arrive. As I was still working, Mr. Nesbitt graciously picked up the roll of fabric at my home, turned the job around in a matter of days and delivered the chairs and unused fabric back to my home. Hey, I'm a stickler for detail ... so when I say both chairs look great ... you can rest assured, they did ... and the price was fair. Flash forward two + years ... the fabric on the top of the covered bench in front in our bed needed some 'refreshing' so, I put the bench and unused fabric from the chairs in my car and headed to Nesbitt Upholstery. It was a bit tricky to find as there's no signage on Highway 17 North, but, Mr. Nesbitt's directions were simple, "Turn onto the driveway between the yellow house and Gerald's Tires ... if you pass Gerald's, you've gone too far." Soon after I made that right turn I saw the sign for Nesbitt Upholstery, knew that I was at the right place. Alfred met me outside his shop (the garage), he unloaded the bench and fabric and I went on my way. That was Friday, July 3. I received a call this morning (July 6) that my bench was ready and picked it up right after lunch. It looked brand new! I have a bit more fabric and considering some pillows. Who am I gonna call? Alfred Nesbitt, of course!

I work a few businesses down from Citrus Fresh and every time I passed one of their employees in…read morethe parking lot or on my way to the dumpster, they've always been super friendy. Friendly to the point that it's not hard to tell that they love their job and who they work for. Speaking of management, I've seen owner, Greg working hard and getting dirty almost every day. To me, seeing the owner physically work just as hard as everyone else definitely earns major points in my book. But... Behind every great man is a great woman... I had the pleasure of meeting his wife, Mary who also runs the business and she was the nicest and most thankful person ever. She even had her dog Sadie there. Sadie was a cutie and so sweet. With that said, I have a puppy and unfortunately she urinated on my couch. I did everything to try to clean the cushion. I even spent $250 on a Bissell carpet/ upholstery cleaner. I used many cleaners, including oxy and pet urine specific ones. But nothing worked because the urine was deep inside the cushion. Luckily, I brought my cushion to Carpet Fresh and they literally saved me from buying a new couch. I don't know what their process is, but I do know they injected the cushion in combination with a few other cleaning methods. When I picked up my cushion, it had a pretty heavy citrus scent, but luckily it went away after a few days. So between my cushion no longer smelling like urine and their survice not costing an arm and a leg, I couldn't be happier. Lastly, when I dropped of my cushion, I dealt with Matt. He was extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. He is a great representation of what the company is about. I'm very thankful that I gave Citrus Fresh a chance and I will not hesitate to contact them for all my future carpet/ upholstery and other cleaning needs.

Bait and switch Called about a runner that needed cleaning,…read moregave measurements I thought were correct, turned out it was 9 Ft x 2.5 not 12, but they quoted 50 bucks($2 a foot). I was okay paying the $50: but when I brought the runner and they filled out the paperwork and measured the runner, They then told me it was a $100 minimum. At no time on phone or when I first arrived was I told there was a minimum fee charged. It was like you are here now, and we can charge what we want, not what was quoted. I was shocked and very disappointed with the bait and switch. You need to be forthright, not underhanded like you were being. They also told me if I brought in a full size rug, they could clean my runner for the $50 at the same time. So they wanted me to pay for another rug(over $300) and the runner. Very crappy and sketchy customer service.
