There are few small dining areas around for friends of the patients, which I think could be enlarged as I could never get a seat..lol and really the only criticism is bad phone coverage for anyone entering. If I have to go to hospital.... I choose Mater.

After surgery on a Saturday at my regular vet, my feline fur baby developed complications at home…read moreand my partner and I rushed him to the emergency clinic (recommended by our vet as the best). It was an anxious 2 hour wait but finally he was stabilised. Dr Seccull was the attending vet on the night and I appreciated her straight forward, highest standard approach. No mucking around. Offered the best treatment possible, albeit the most expensive, but when the life of a beloved pet is involved why take chances. He stayed a total of 2 nights with the final cost coming in under the estimated higher cost. He continued to have issues after the arrival home but the staff were very patient with my calls for advice and helped put me at ease as best as possible. On arrival you will be given a consent form to sign outlining expected costs that will be explained to you. Standard fee is about $220. This is a 24/7 emergency clinic and I think the costs are fitting for the care provided. Thank you to all staff.
