So there's an awesome petting zoo and train that you can pay to enjoy but the rest of the park is just as incredible. There's a shallow creek that runs the length of the park. It's honestly one of the best places for kids to just free play safely in the summer. Lots of great trees for parents to chill under while the kids enjoy the water. It's a perfect picnic spot for sure. Go make a day of it! There's also a traditional playground near the petting zoo and train station. My kids said the water is cold but on a hot day, it's the perfect activity. There are restrooms as well. There's some covered seating with picnic tables but it's just easier to bring a nice blanket and find a tree to camp under (or bring some outdoor chairs). We did the petting zoo recently too. It's $3 per person for the petting zoo for anyone over the age of 2. Same price for the train. You can do one and not the other. Tickets can be purchased on site or online. They give you one token per ticket for each activity. So you can only go through the petting zoo once and take the train once on a paid ticket. The petting zoo has cows, pigs, a duck, goats, alpacas, chickens, etc. It's fairly small, but a good way to expose city kids to sweet tempered farm animals. My kids loved the train! It does a nice big loop around the park. And the best part is the tunnel you go through at the end. The train is also beautiful - pretty green, shiny train. I would say the only down side is parking. I've ended up parking at the Pirates Cove area both times I've gone. There's simply not enough spots. Go early in the morning if you want to enjoy otherwise you might be completely out of luck.

Great park in a random neighborhood. We actually spent about 2 hours here with the kiddos running all over. There some equipment a bit to much for my 1 year old but I saw plenty of older and younger kids playing around. It really did cater well to all ages.

They speed to and from the park - typically 3-5 students per car - and smoke pot, usually leaving trash behind on the ground despite the close proximity of multiple trash cans. There is also some sort of "fight club" situation where 20 to 30 teenagers are circled around two other kids who are fighting. These entitled little brats show absolutely ZERO respect for park goers or mothers with their children at the playground. During school season this is pretty much an every day thing. There are usually homeless people living in their cars on the street next to the playground. I'm looking out my window at one as I write this.

You have access to either side of the park entrance off the main road. There is a crosswalk‍‍ and a beg button to safely cross. Watch out for coyotes in the area too. There are two porta potty clearly marked and camouflaged with the environment. SMART! I walked a few trails and blissfully absorbed the sounds of nature surrounding me. I like the ponds, the native wildlife and natural earth tone paths. One thing for sure is if you are out here for a period of time I would take some kind of bug spray. The mosquitoes were horrible. I also liked the sporadically places rocks, giant tree log, tree trunks and memorial benches place in this park. A soothing, gentle and relaxing atmosphere and area. I'll be back to explore more!

Unfortunately, most of the times I walk through this area the park is covered in trash. Water bottles, food wrappers, etc. I wish Littleton residents would take greater pride in our public areas and clean up after themselves. That said, this is a great park and the city maintains it well.
