Nice park! BUT not enough trees. And some paths are hard to access. Love the water features but hate the fact that the grass is heavily sprayed with pesticides--considering children are running all over the grass. Sadly that's a reality for pretty much all parks in highlands ranch. read more

What an incredible park! We could come here at least once a week easily. In the summer they've got the splash pads open and there is a creek area too for the kids to play in. My son plays here for hours! They got a playground good for younger kids and older ones. A covered area with picnic tables. Lots of lawn space for all the activities. It is right next to the highlands ranch library, we actually came here for the first time because they were doing an outdoor story time at this park. If you have kids I definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

This can be a several hour long outing for toddlers or children! There is a cute and clean manmade stream where kids love to play with their boats or trucks in the water. Next to that is a park which is nice even for the younger kiddos with some small apparatus options. Down the hill across the huge field are 2 separate splash pad options! There are tons of covered picnic benches for shade. When you're with the e splash pads and playing, head into the library for even more fun! read more

This park is great! My friend and I brought our 19 and 21 month olds. I liked how the water features were split between 3 different areas. The larger splash pad was busier and much noisier which I think was overstimulating for my kiddo so we went to the other side where there's a smaller one. However, once she saw the creek that's where we spent the rest of the afternoon. The playground was perfect for kids their size. There's a large covered area with benches and tables for lunch. We used to frequent this park when the kids were between the ages of 3-7. They are too old for a lot of the things they enjoyed in their innocence (before grade school,) but I have so many fond memories of this place. Great place for moms to play date, plenty of water features to explore and just a large spread of area to picnic and hang out and do the things that families do when they have littles. I can officially say that I miss those ages and I hope lots of parents and kiddos enjoy summertime here as much as my kids and I did. Make sure to bring water shoes for the river feature- and bonus is the library is within walking distance (great children's library.) We also had my kids birthdays here and rented out the park- it was so neat. Enjoy! read more

Amazing park great for the kiddos or adults of all ages. Always seems to have an event pop up when we go which is nice.

This is a pretty cool park - splash parks, playground, amphitheater, a good amount of green space, and sidewalks. The playground is geared towards 3+ Not much that a 18 mo old can do independently besides turn some steering wheels and ride 3 springy "rocking horses". The main structure and giant spider web are treated towards bigger kids. I do like the giant books, taller than an adult and my son was intrigued too! Overall a fun park, will check out in the summer when splash pad is open. Also a previous reviewer said no dogs, however i didn't see any no dog signage and there were a few dogs in the park. Maybe this is specific to summer when the water is on. read more

Great park always!!! If you are the Only one here (which is rare) or with half of the people o highlands ranch, this park is great. I love the movies at the end of the summer (just wish they made a chair line half way up the hill so those in their "thrones" will let those of us on blankets see the screen). It is close to so many different places to get food and the library. The stream and the sprinkler pool is a frat refreshing place for all to cool off. Nice clean bathrooms when they are open. read more

Civic Green Park is a beautiful setting but if you are an adult looking for a quiet, shady, summer sitting spot over lunchtime this is not the place. If you are a family with young kids Its great. With the playground, water feature to play in, pavilions with tables, and a restroom the kids love it. As an adult looking for a relaxing place to hang out over lunch not so great. Tried to meet some friends there for lunch on a Thursday in July and there were 2 buses from a daycare and about 25 families with kids. There was no where to sit unless we wanted to be in the sun (we didn't) so we left and went to Kistler Park, no one there but us and perfect. read more

This park has it all! Fountains that shoot into the air that kids (and adults) can run through, a little stream with interesting rocks, a stage where bands, ballet companies, and theater groups perform, along with movie nights. There is an excellent playground, and three covered seating areas. One of them I know for sure has a grill. There is a huge grassy lawn with plenty of room to kick a ball around, or throw a frisbee. There is a sidewalk that runs in a circle all around the outside of it, if you want to get some walking in, or let your kids bring scooters. They also occasionally have Yoga in the AMs, and Saturdays there is sometimes some sort of festival in the grassy area. This park is the hub of Highlands Ranch. It's one block from Town Square (with the fabulous Tattered Cover and Farmer's Market) and shares a block with the Library. We have spent many a happy weekday or weekend day here with a picnic, and walked around. If you want to come spend a day in Highlands Ranch, this is the place to do it. You'll be glad you ventured to our way. :) read more

What a great little park. TONS for both parents and kids alike. Let the kids play in the creek during the spring and summer, or the splash pad area is a hoot too (only open in summer). The playground is fun for the kids, with small slides, and a large rope climbing space. There's a stage for summer concerts and festivals, and a nice little mini botanic garden to walk through. Parking is a bit rough during festivals, so get there early. Otherwise, there's ample street parking for regular days at the park. Save some extra time for yourself and the kids to walk through town square and the library. read more

What a great park area! I was here for a music festival, and they have a large stage and lots of grass space for the audience, plus an area food food trucks and vendors. There is a small playground and picnic areas that hold about 20 people. Three only weird thing is parking, any place you would choose feels like tough can't park there. We parked in the Kindercare lot and it's closer, but felt like the wrong place to be. Some signage would be nice. Otherwise, a great spot! read more

This is a great park. If you follow any of the Highlands Ranch pages you'll find events and fun things going on all the time. There are concerts, holiday events, and fountains for the kids to play in. Leave your dogs at home. It's a dog free park. The water is chlorinated. Last summer I went to yoga in the park and it was great. The location was perfect! The only downside was it was hard to hear the instructors. They stood on the sidewalk and I think it would have been a better idea if they cold use the stage and hook up their mike-headsets to the speakers so more people could hear them. Maybe this Summer it will be improved. Overall I recommend it and plan on attending this summer. read more

When I was younger I loved playing here, and now that I'm older I love that it's a nice place to relax outside right across from the library. It's a great place for kids and adults (and my dog thinks it's pretty great too). They also do quite a few events and concerts here and those are fun to attend as well. read more
