My therapist is great. The groups not too sure about or, if I'm in the right group for my needs The group therapists some aren't all that great. I do find many in the group don't talk and hide all the time. My insurance is covered If I can't make it, they're fine about it. I've never had anyone rude to me. I know they go up to the age of 64 I believe, and I've tried a couple of different groups. The senior group didn't suit me. some of the people are just dull and they just don't participate in the group, which makes things rather boring, I seem to be the only one talking. one of the two of the therapists are nice. I think they should get the group to speak instead being there, hiding and not showing a video.. Or even talking. My actual therapist is great. I called and had to cancel a couple appointments, they're fine with it. They have a make up group on Saturday. I do find that nine hours a week can be a bit much but that's how they do things Time seems to pass fairly fast I'm not sure I'm in the right group I have depression and anxiety and ADHD. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one there, i'd prefer a proper group therapy with actual people in a room, like they do in AA meetings. I think that would be more helpful, I can't find any groups like that where I live. Overall all they seem good, good staff. read more

We were extremely disappointed with our experience with Charlie Health. They had us stay up late and spend almost 2 hours completing an intake assessment, only to tell us at the very end that they did not have any therapists available for the next three weeks and therefore could not accommodate us within the appropriate treatment timeframe. What makes this even more frustrating is that Charlie Health advertises immediate availability, intake in as little as 24 hours, and says there is no waitlist. Their own website says that after the intake assessment, patients are matched with a group cohort and individual therapist. If there was no therapist available within the necessary timeframe, that should have been determined BEFORE making us sit through a nearly two-hour intake. At the very least, we should have been told about the three-week wait before investing that much time in the process. When someone is reaching out for mental health treatment, wasting two hours only to tell them at the end that you cannot actually provide treatment is incredibly frustrating. Id give this 0 stars if possible. Footnote: The individual that did our intake was very pleasant and easy to talk to, and I don't think is to blame for this experience. read more

Charlie Health is a virtual mental health provider and does not have a physical headquarters address. All communication is virtual, email, SMS text or phone. I did NOT speak to a human being. This business was founded in year 2020. This business targeted ages 11 to 50. This business practices age discrimination as they blatantly turn a blind eye clients outside this targeted age group. I was denied mental health services due to age discrimination. Mental health is for ALL people: young, middle age and elderly. Unhealthy for ailments or disorders do NOT discriminate. It can happen to anyone. I willfully unsubscribed from their email newsletters as it was utterly useless to me! read more

I was so relieved and excited when I was told I had been accepted. After struggling for so long to find mental health care, I finally felt like someone was going to help me. Then the very next day I was told I was actually too old to receive services. The emotional whiplash was devastating. If I wasn't eligible because of my age, that should have been determined before giving me hope. Instead, I went from believing help was finally on the way to feeling completely abandoned. People who reach out for mental health treatment are often already at one of the hardest points in their lives. Being told you're accepted and then having that taken away can do real emotional harm. I hope Charlie Health improves its screening process so no one else has to experience this kind of disappointment. read more

This is an incredibly expensive IOP program with terrible quality of care. The majority of the program is group therapy, and the facilitators are not consistent people and don't do a good job protecting group members from aggressive outbursts from fellow group members. The disorganization and incompetent facilitators put me in so much prolonged stress that it led me to the ER due to an autoimmune response. I was already dealing with trauma and depression beforehand. read more

While I valued the group facilitators and my fellow group members, Charlie Health failed to provide me a stable program. They discharged me without warning, leaving me without a closing circle and an opportunity to say goodbye to my group members and facilitators. In addition to my abrupt discharge, my individual therapist assigned to me dropped off the face of the earth, leaving me without an individual therapy session for 4 weeks. I feel some of the group facilitators care, but it is clear to me that the people running Charlie Health give no sh*ts about their clients. There are 100's of other IOP's out there that I feel would be more successful than Charlie Health. read more

DON'T put anyone who is experiencing a mental health issue through this TRAUMA! They do not care about your mental health AT ALL, they are inhumane, unethical, and do not have empathy for their cleints! This company is ONLY out for money from the insurance contracts they have! They do not genuinely care about your mental health. Any insurance issues and they will end your therapy abruptly and cut you off without giving you or your loved ones a proper transition, causing unnecessary distress to already fragile people suffering from a mental health crisis. Not only that but they will not notify you of the insurance issues, we were blindsided when our individual therapist informed us our care was ending due to insurance issues. When I tried to work through the insurance issues, they would not let me pay them out of pocket, nor would they let me speak to any type of management. I am thoroughly disgusted at the treatment we received after months of care with them. The people who work on the intake, scheduling, finance/insurance and discharge are only programmed to treat you like a number. There is ABSOLUTELY NO GENUINE COMPASSION. Our individual therapist was amazing, she was well educated, friendly, relatable, patient and helped us tremendously. The group facilitators didnt seem to have much eduction but instead reading from a script. Also worth noting is the group sessions can cause excess trauma to others in the group as it didnt feel as though they place people with other clients based on needs but solely on numbers to make quota. I tried to enter their SAIOP virtual program and dealt with Lesley R. This woman lied through her teeth the entire way through the process. To her I was just a number and a dollar sign. She set up my intake assessment and was supposed to process my insurance information weeks up to the assessment and was communicating with me via text and email. The morning of the assessment she texts me and says she couldn't move forward because she didn't have a copy of my insurance card. Ummmm, Leslie in our conversations, why didn't you ask ME to send you a copy of my insurance card. This woman is either ignorant or lazy, neither is acceptable. In my experience, I felt like a was a product moving a long a conveyer belt and I am so happy in the end I did not go thru the process because now I am reading so many negative reviews about this company. Leslie, you are not just dealing with names on a paper, and files. We are people suffering from a cunning and powerful disease. Some of us are on death's door and to be so ignorant about who you are dealing with speaks volumes about your organization, because if you are out front representing your organization, I can just imagine the people that are behind you.
