We explained that we needed her car fixed as soon as possible because she was stranded away from college and work. We called a couple of times the day it was towed (they couldn't give an estimate of when they would be able to look at the car). On the final call, they said it was the alternator, would order the part, and hoped to have her on the road the next day around noon. At 11 am we called for a status update on the car. They had ordered the wrong part but ended up buying the part locally and said the car would be done shortly. A family member dropped out daughter off at Woods, where she was presented with a bill for over $600. This sounded high, so we did some research online and we were charged on the high end of replacement. The alternator was $417 (plus they were able to keep the $50 recycle fee), and $200 in labor. When we called the owner, he said he gave us the best deal, and,"he didn't think cost was an issue," that we just wanted to get her on the road. There are so many auto stores in the Bootheel area that I would encourage those not in our situation to do some research and hold on to your hard earned money. It is in my opinion that because our daughter is young, and we were out of state, we were taken advantage of. Lesson learned. Business taken elsewhere.

They said that they didn't have any openings last week but if I wanted to drop the car off, they might get to it. I asked if I could just schedule for Monday, and the guy said "Sure, just bring it by first thing" So I brought it in at 7:30 when they opened and they told me it would be done around lunch, so I told them I'd be by around 4 when I get off work and they said that's fine. I received a call at 3:30 saying that they can't get to it until tomorrow now. I can't just go without my car unexpectedly with no notice. I'm not mad that jobs take time but what the hell is the point of scheduling an appointment if you're just gonna do it whenever the hell you decide anyway? It's not like they found 10 other issues that need fixed, they just didn't get to it. Why schedule anything? This is an incredible inconvenience, as I now have to rearrange not only my schedule, but my wife's and whoever I can get to give me a ride back to my car, in addition to cancelling the ride I had arranged for this afternoon, so it's impactful to someone today who as already moved their plans around to drive me out there. This is my first time using Plaza since I was a teenager because my local tire shop is cheaper, faster, and generally friendlier, but they don't do alignments. This will be the last time they get a job from me. EDIT: Came by at lunch today (Tuesday) and they had not yet touched my vehicle. I asked the guy at the counter what was going on and he said that they only had one tech in the back working on alignments. I can respect that you are short staffed, but where was any of the communication? I wouldn't have ever been mad if I was told from the moment of drop off that it might be a couple days due to staffing issues. I asked for my keys and left. I found another shop who said they can do it in 45 minutes or less while I wait.

Before i had taken my 05 Denali to their…read moreshop i could have just had the oil topped off and drive from Sikeston to Texas rounds trip with no problems so i called and had an estimate done for a rear main seal done,(it was just below $600) they called me and said my truck was ready after having it for 3 weeks. I drove home to find the Transmission line blew out there's transmission fluids in the drivewayof my house. They busted up my exhaust pipe and had a C clamp holding it together and I can't get my truck outta 2 gear to even get to overdrive. And had the nerve to send me home with my truck as is. as he said to me he's not gonna fix it and I won't win in court. Rundover…read moreMobile Mechanic proved to be not only untrustworthy but also uninsured, leading to the total loss of my vehicle. On April 26th, I hired Rundover to address several issues with my car, including an oil leak. During their initial visit, they failed to resolve the problems and crucially, never informed me that the oil leak posed any significant danger. I was advised that my car needed more oil, until the diagnosed problem of a valve gasket was fixed. Upon receiving the replacement part, they returned to my location. After replacing the gasket, I was then told that my valve cover was warped and required a new one. Again, wasn't told that my car wasn't safe to drive and, was told it was still low on oil. Approximately 15 minutes after they departed, I drove less than a mile to purchase more oil. Within that short distance, my car caught fire and was utterly destroyed, burned beyond repair. Despite the clear correlation to their work, Rundover Mobile Mechanic immediately place the blame squarely on me. When I requested their insurance information, they refused to provide it, a refusal they extended to my lawyers formal letter. Their website now states "permanently closed" in the Marion area. The business address they listed is is a defunct gas station that has been out of operation for few years. To my knowledge, they may still be operating in Missouri. I lost my car due to their negligence and deceptive practices. Rundover Mobile Mechanic fled from their responsibility. Please think twice - and then think again before entrusting your vehicle to them.

They told us it showed to have a bad " Body control module" which they could not repair. Had to call a wrecker to take to the Peterbilt shop in Sikeston,MO. The mechanic checked the truck, found a fuse that had came loose. Scheffer stated they checked all the fuses. Apparently not. Cost us $2030.00 for a loose fuse all together that they could not find. Great work Scheffer....... Do not trust this shop ......The Peterbilt dealership even told me i should not have gone there.
