When I finally got into grad school at Notre Dame, The Huddle still had a lot of its charm. It now looks like the convenience stores on other college campuses, although it still looks really small, and they still have a quirky selection of, well, everything. The hidden gem of this place is the salad bar. It can be pretty expensive--they charge by weight, so lay off the broccoli and other heavy veggies--but it's oh so good. Don't even bother coming in here on a football weekend.

Melissa (sorry a I didn't get her last name) is always pleasant and extremely helpful in person or on the phone. I've stood in line and know first hand customers can be very rude. Another associate , last name Rieth is also always pleasant. Establishment's like this need to keep store shelves filled, medications on hand, cleaned and maintained, even when short staffed without the benefit of cutting back on products or hours to ease the work load. For that reason alone, and many others, people need to cut them some slack and offer some gratitude.

Never had a prescription filled here so we can't comment on that, but what we needed they had and the staff got us in and out in a jiffy. Even though the reviews seem to be either 5 stars of 1 star ... we thought this place just fine. Try it.

Don't come to this side of town much, but wa visiting a sick mother of a friend of mine in a nearby nursing home. A pleasant bonus was a few shampoos they had marked way down. A good place!
