We paid $60 + tax for two adults to bring our 22 month old to the "baby animal" event and were really excited for her to get an up close experience. The experience was literally a 10 minute tractor cart ride around the farm with just a drive-by view of the baby goats, not even a stop for us to view or take photos & no getting out of the carts. After that we were basically on our own to explore a couple barn areas where there were some goats, llamas, sheep and a couple pigs - no staff doing any education or event activities, no information. Total waste of money & outrageous overpricing for a promised experience that didn't happen. Not to mention the zoo area that we had been looking forward to seeing while there was also closed. Still kind of in shock & not really sure what I just paid for... not much more of an experience than if you went to a local barnyard. Best part of the experience was the animal feed but at $8 for a small cup, I don't know if it was worth it.

My dear husband decided to ease us into the joys of haunted happenings in New Engalnd with a trip to Charmingfare Farm. I was skeptical. Did we need to drive over an hour to New Hampshire, among the barrage of Trump for President signs, to brave the elements of a cold late October evening, to be put in a position to be intentionally scared? I am not a fan of Halloween, or outside or being cold, but for the family, I sucked it up and off we went... two adults, one 13 year old who wanted to be scared out of her mind and a 9 year old who, like me, was going to be on a family adventure. I was pleasantly surprised! Yes, there were HUGE Trump signs (ok, there were a few Hillary signs that were clearly more tasteful and less in your face), yes, it was outside, yes, it was cold, and yes, we did get scared, but it was fun! DH bought the tickets on line for $25 each. I see by other Yelpers that there were opportunities for a discount (so maybe next time). For the $25 we got free parking, a horse drawn hayride through a spooky forest, a walk through a haunted barn, a tractor ride through a bog and then a walk through an infested corn maze. The petting farm animals were also open too. They also had a bon fire where you could make smores and stay warm while waiting for the next carriage to arrive to bring the next group through. It was a lot for $25 so it was ok. The staff was friendly, the grounds were beautiful and it was quite a creative production. It was appropriately creepy for younger kids and had just enough jump scares for the older ones. As a first timer, it would have been helpful to have more direction from the staff on where to go and what to do, but in the end, it all worked out. Not a bad first time. The Trump signs were by far, the scariest thing on the trip, even with the jump scares!!!! Pro tip - there isn't much around in the town of Candia, so grab a bite eslewhere before you go!

Loved being here all weekend. All the animals are lovely and was so happy i chose to come here! The most important thing is that i felt very welcomed by everyone. I would suggest to anyone to take a visit!

I felt really really sorry for the animals here. The cages were very small and the animals were all pacing. I'm not sure if this is ethical, and the fox made me cry. My son, who is 1, had fun however, so they earn a solid 3. The pricing is a tad high for what it is, so be on the lookout for good deals. Groupon has good ones. I really was hoping they had t-shirts for sale, but no luck there. The tractor ride was cool and we skipped the horse sleigh ride. The trails aren't really good for strollers, unless you bring the jogging kind- opt for a ergo baby or something like that instead.

UPDATE: I should've updated this a long time ago, but I am happy to change my rating, since, upon seeing my sad tree on Facebook, Charmingfare contacted me and immediately refunded my money. I could tell they were not happy with the quality of the tree either! MY ORIGINAL POST: The Good: My family and I love the farm. We go at least once a summer to walk around and see the animals; we also usually visit one or more of their seasonal events. We've enjoyed their Halloween trick-or-treat as well as the Christmas sleigh rides. Beautiful and fun! The Bad: The reason I cannot give them five stars is their Christmas tree sale. I pre-purchased a 6-8 foot Fraser Fir. I was informed I could pick up 10-4 on Saturday or Sunday. I arrived at 10:10 on Sunday. A woman about my age and a teenage girl were working the gift shop, through which I had to walk to get to the trees. The trees were leaning against a fence, all netted. There were a few unnetted trees, but only the short ones. Several employees passed by me standing there, but none said anything. After 10 minutes, I returned to the gift store and told the woman I was there to pick up my tree. She looked a bit confused and asked the girl who was working the trees. The girl's response was "not me," and she left. The woman, on the other hand, was very professional and told me she would call immediately for someone to come help me. I waited another 10 minutes. When I returned again, she was genuinely surprised that someone had not yet shown up. I returned outside and waited again. After another short wait, I decided to ask for my money back. As I was returning to the gift shop, the woman was exiting, saw me and asked "They're still not here?" I said no and told her I'd just take a refund. She insisted on helping me with the tree herself. She was clearly not dressed for this, but was determined to help. We returned to the trees and I asked which were the Fraser Firs. She did not know. So I asked her to unnet a tall one. She explained that she could, but that she could not re-net it. They were selling Christmas trees, but had no netting machine on site. I could not bring the tree home without netting as I would not be able to get it in my house. I was so disheartened at this point, I took the tree without seeing it. Folks, I don't know why this tree was ever even chosen to be cut! It is, quite honestly, the worst tree we've ever had. It had obviously not been shaped well (I'll post a picture if I can) while growing, and shouldn't have been chosen by whomever was in charge of cutting the trees. It's been 1 week and this poor tree can't hold even my lightest ornaments. The tree itself is not the reason that I give only 2 stars. But the lack of help from the many farm hands and, even worse, the fact that the farm has yet to respond to my email concerning my experience definitely deserves the 2 star review. In short, I will visit the farm with my kids, but must tell everyone I can that this is NOT the place to get your Christmas tree.

Weather got a little hariy getting there with the slushy roads, but we made it! It's pretty remote location with no street lights, so if driving in the dark look for the signs to get there and trust your GPS. There's a large parking lot across from the entrance to the little store/shop. The shop is actually the owners old family home I belive. We arrived pretty much at closing time, but we were still welcomed warmly. We got a cheese & maple syrup tasting which was yum and informative, and the staff member that did it was really nice, I forgot her name, but see photo below. One of the cheeses has won a cheese competition, very cool. We also got to meet the owner, but she was busy getting Christmas orders together. I perused all of the cheeses I wanted and settled on 4. We got to try 2 out of the 4 from the cheese sampling. The nice lady that checked me out even gave me some nice to-go samples as well. The smoked cheese was my fav, and the sage. But I enjoyed them all. I was able to easily fly home to TX with them due to the cold weather of the season. After the tasting, we got to peruse the store. They have so much other stuff to buy in additon to cheese and maple, tons of knick-knacks and gifts and merch. We didn't get to explore the farm after since it was pitch black when we left, too bad. Enjoy!

Sadly this year I didn't get to visit New England - but lucky for me Sugarbush ships nationwide!! So I tried it out and ordered some of their syrup and my fave cheeses. Ordering online via their website was super easy. I ordered my fave dark variety of their maple syrup and 4 cheeses: horseradish cheddar, jalapeño cheddar, sharp cheddar, and Monterey Jack. Their horseradish cheddar is my absolute fave - a wonderful kick of the spicy horseradish blends so well with their rich cheddar. I really love the jalapeño cheddar too - packed full of flavor with just the right amount of kick - not overwhelming but enough to taste it. The other two were great as well - you can definitely tell their cheeses are made fresh on site - flavors are just next level compared to industrial-manufactured cheeses from the grocery store chains. And the maple syrup is also in a league of its own - nothing mass-manufactured from any grocery chain holds a candle to the rich, complex flavors and velvety texture. The syrups also last quite a long time so I'm able to keep my stocks full yearly! Since I was ordering cheese with a long way to travel, and it was still quite warm in parts of the US, their website suggested adding one of their insulated shipping boxes for an extra fee of $8. I didn't want to risk ruining my cheese so I did and all arrived in excellent condition! They pack it in extra insulated styrofoam with ice packs. So it's definitely worth it imo. Next year I'll be in Maine in October so I'll definitely be planning an extra day or two to pop over to Sugarbush on my way back out haha!! See yall next fall!

The layout is thoughtfully arranged, and the focus is clearly on quality and presentation, making it easy to spend time browsing rather than rushing through a standard grocery run. The fresh produce is the main reason we would visit. The selection changes with the seasons, and there is always something that stands out, whether it is fruit, vegetables, or specialty items. The produce section is one of the biggest highlights, with everything arranged beautifully and a wide variety that makes shopping here feel more intentional. The bakery section is another area worth checking out, especially for breads and pastries. Items like the olive sourdough bread and seasonal baked goods are the type of things that make Wilson Farm feel more like a destination rather than just a place to buy groceries. Beyond produce, the variety is what makes the experience memorable. There are sections for meats, seafood, prepared foods, desserts, flowers, and pantry items, so it is easy to put together a full shopping trip without needing to go elsewhere. The seasonal events are also a big part of the atmosphere, especially in the fall when the pumpkin displays and decorations transform the outside of the farm into something that feels like an autumn destination. The staff were friendly and helpful during our visit, which adds to the overall experience, and the store can get busy during peak seasons, especially around fall events and weekends, so parking and navigating through the crowds may take extra patience. Prices are generally higher than a standard grocery store, but the quality and selection are what make the visit worthwhile. Wilson Farm is one of those places where grocery shopping becomes an experience. The combination of fresh food, bakery items, seasonal atmosphere, and the farm setting makes it stand out. It is a place we would visit not only for groceries but also when we want to explore and pick up something special.
