Make sure you do a speed test because they have been charging us the highest rate for the lowest…read morespeed. Paying $79.95 for 10mbps Which should be $35.00. When I complained about it they make excuses and talk computer language so you don't understand. Immediately after complaining my speed went down to 1.36. Unprofessional and childish behavior. I have put up with their bad service for a year now after paying over $300 for equipment which I now have to return? I'm just so happy to be rid of them! I'm a senior and have never experienced trouble with an ISP until now. They make their own rules and don't communicate with you. Buyer beware!

I spoke with Robin in person and was told that I could activate Broadband for $39.95/mo plus a one-time $99 activation fee. I was called a couple days later about installing the satellite. I wrote the installer a check for $85. I figured that this was the activation fee I was told about because nobody at Fireserve ever mentioned that there was an INSTALLATION fee, in addition to the ACTIVATION fee. You have to pay $185 just to begin service with this company, before you even get to find out if the service is any good. No one bothers to tell you, in writing or otherwise, that self-installation is even an option. Of course I would rather do that than dish out $85 I'm not even told about. Two months later (today) I receive my first bill in the mail. I have a $218.85 balance after two months of internet service! The due date is next Wednesday, five days from when I received the bill. No previous bills have been received by mail or email, so this was certainly a surprise. I was told that I had not received any bills because they made a typo with my email address. They also spell my name as Brian, not Ryan. I'm unimpressed with this company. Hopefully Charter Communications services your area, unlike my home. Those big ISPs are a pain to deal with, but at least you won't get gouged for what is essentially a $185 install.

I usually reserve my feelings about service companies until they really prove themselves. Today I…read morestopped in at Cascade Wireless, an agent for U.S. Cellular. I was greeted by a sales person by the name of Lea. Wow what a difference from the experience I had at one of the other U.S. Cellular locations. Lea, was one of the most helpful service employees I have dealt with. She answered my question, she didn't try to sell me a more expensive service plan that I was interested in. She just left me with a feeling of appreciation for taking the time to help me. I stopped by this business because of the trouble I've had with my Verizon service, and the dropped calls I've experience with Verizon. Lea set me up with a temporary service that I can compare with Verizon, so far it appears U.S. Cellular is superior and provides a better signal at my home. Price wise the monthly costs are close, U.S. Cellular's plan gives me more data for the money than the plan I have with Verizon.

It's allowed me to cut the cable and stream all of our shows through Apple TV and computer networks. I've had about 2 or 3 connectivity issues in those past 5 years and they were quickly corrected satisfactorily.
