He had a scheduled MRI with contrast, and although his doctor accidentally sent the wrong order, we caught it immediately and had it fixed right away. The first technician told us everything was good to go and even said, "We have a new advanced machine that can get this done in 45 minutes. Get him dressed and we'll get started." We waited about 15 minutes, only for a completely different technician to walk in and tell us they suddenly couldn't see him today because "all the nurses are leaving and it's too late." This was after my child had already changed and mentally prepared himself--no small thing for a frightened 7-year-old who was already anxious. To make matters worse, the second technician dismissed the first one, saying she was "silly" and "doesn't know what she's talking about." Completely unprofessional. They tried to reschedule us, but even that was a mess. I was told I'd have to wait around while they figured out how long the appointment would take. At that point, after being jerked around for over an hour, we left with nothing accomplished--no scan, no clear plan, and a very upset child who now has even more anxiety about getting this done. This experience caused unnecessary emotional distress for my son and was handled with zero communication or respect. If they had simply told us upfront that they couldn't take him today, we would have gladly rescheduled and spared him (and us) the stress. Instead, we were misled, contradicted, and dismissed. Parents: be cautious scheduling here. Communication is poor, staff are not on the same page, and they clearly prioritize their own convenience over patient care--especially for children.

I arrived and was prepped and walked into the room and it was not an Open MRI. Even to examine the hip they put the entire body in the tube within inches of the the tube. I would not call myself claustrophobic, but this type of MRI causes that feeling for me. They suggested getting a new RX for an MRI while sedated. I don't like the extra risk for sedation when there are actual Open MRI systems nearby.

One of the front desk workers (a male whose name I'm not sure of) called me on the way to one of my appointments and told me I owed Charter about $800 more than what I had already paid as a copay, which I paid the previous day, January 30th. I wouldn't be able to get my procedure done without paying. I'm aware of my insurance coverage and told him that I thought this was incorrect. He began to talk over me. I needed the MRI done, so I paid the money when I arrived and asked for an itemized receipt. He told me he couldn't give me one and that everything would show up on my patient portal. It did not. When I followed up with my insurance company, they shared that Charter Radiology incorrectly billed them for my MRI services and did not provide information on how much the actual services were on the claim. I knew I overpaid Charter Radiology and contacted them to resolve the issue. They resubmitted my claim and still held over $800 of my money. KJ in the billing department was really helpful in moving this issue forward but this morning I saw that the pending transaction from Charter Radiology to my credit card was cancelled on their end and they still owe me $821.81. I tried to be patient and resolve this issue privately, but customers need to know that this company is dishonest, has a staff member who bills incorrectly at the Columbia location, promises a refund and then rescinds it. This issue has been ongoing from January 31st. It is now March 20th. When will my $821.81 be returned to me?

The staff is very friendly, have a great sense of humor, and they have a welcoming environment. I wish they were a doctor's office, because they have the concept of not keeping the patient waiting down to a science. However, I can genuinely say it was a pleasure because of their incredible staff. Sharon and Sandy at the front desk are two of the kindest and most welcoming individuals I've ever encountered--not just in medical care, but in customer service overall. Sharon, the tech, was equally compassionate and professional, and Mariah, who prepped me for the MRI, was just as wonderful. The team at this facility is truly exceptional, and I can't commend them enough. I'm not sure where they were hired from, but their previous employers lost some outstanding people! Thank you, again!

The waiting area was very clean and spacious for distancing. After a few minutes in the waiting room, Sae escorted me to the changing room. I put on what he asked and locked my belongings in my assigned locker. Let's pause to talk about Sae. May God bless him. Sae escorts me to the imaging area. I saw that tomb of a machine and my anxiety tapped me on the shoulder. I gave Sae every reason why this was impossible. The first was that I didn't believe I would fit. I asked where the plus size section was. Sae just smiled and reassured me that I would fit and that I would be okay. He told me to take it in slow steps. He had me lay on the table to get acclimated. He handed me a cord with a button for emergencies. He said at anytime I feel that I am panicking to hit the button and I would be pulled out the machine. He then gave me a pair of headphones. He asked what music would give me peace, I asked for Chandler Moore. He then moved me in the machine slowly and then stopped at certain points to check in. He didn't continue pushing me forward until I gave the word. Once I was all the way in, I told him I didn't know about this. Sae told me to look up and back. There I could see the wall of the room. That was so helpful; it was awesome knowing that although I was really far in I was also very close out if needed. Sae had them start the music and I laid there in peace for 20 minutes. I am so grateful for the peace of God and the patience of Sae. He definitely deserves a raise. I was in and out within 35 minutes which was so nice. God forbid that I need another MRI, but should I do, I'm coming right back here. Side Note: The machine is a mega magnet. If you have hair pins, it would behoove you to take them out before entering. Trust. Me. On. This.

There were two entrances to get into the parking lot and once you are parked, the building is right there. The entrance to the building faces Observation Drive. Once parked, enter building 20410, walk up the stairs, go right and WRA will be the 2nd entrance on your right (glass doors). Enter, check in and have a seat. The employees I interacted with were very pleasant, especially the lady at the front desk. Had a great conversation. Once your name is called, you will get the opportunity to check your items into a wooden locker (you are in charge of the key during your appointment). As you check out and retrieve your items, you then just leave the key on the outside of the locker (how you saw it before accessing it). There is signage providing where to dispose of your gown after your appointment. This location has been opened for a year (shared by one of the employees) and just based on service, experience, and location, I will definitely be back for sure.

The office is beautifully decorated I have had the pleasure of starting out at the old office and that one was equally as nice. My appointment was at 6:15 a.m. it was the best I did not have to be late for work and the appointment was very quick the doctor was not there to read my scans and it was okay they called me back right away for a follow-up that was needed. The way I found out about them is Dr. Laura Amodei contacted me to purchase some of my artwork for their office which features art all from local female artists. For a decade up until then I went to a larger, way less personal imaging center. This is a much more comfortable and comforting experience all around. They run their appointments on time, so when I had my annual scans done last week I was in and out of there in less than 15 minutes and then contacted with the results by phone within a couple of hours. They use the latest technology giving you extra peace of mind. I only wish I had found them sooner!
