When searching for a retirement home for my mother, this seemed the most prudent and affordable…read more While the staff was very nice and it seemed a good possibility, it wasn't long before I realized it would not work for my mother. She needed more care than they would be able to give. Within a few days of signing and giving 2 checks in the amount of $1108.77 I called to cancel our move in with my regrets. They understood and told me it was no problem as she had not moved in. "Her money would be returned in two weeks". That was March 14, 2019. She is on a small fixed income and has since been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor and delegated to a Long Term Facility. After months of calling and being reassured that "the check is in the mail" by the manager of the home, we have yet to receive it. I have been making payments out of my own money for which I can not afford. All the excuses and condolences are not doing us any good. But the cash they so easily took with a smile, would help her. My next step is an attorney but I felt it incumbent upon me to let the internet world know that they need to protect themselves and do not trust those who pretend to have your best interests at heart. And this facility and the Corporate who runs it are not honorable. Since this facility is also affiliated with A Place For Mom, I would be hesitant about them as well.

This is my first Yelp review so bear with me I'll try to cover everything and be as honest and…read moreinformative as I can. In late 2019 I lost my father to an aneurysm suddenly. It was a complete shock to me family, especially my 91 year old mom. We realized just how much he did for her as we quickly saw she just wasn't able to live on her own. My parents and I have always been incredibly close so my first instinct was to move her in with me. For various reasons that was impossible for my family at the time. I felt apprehensive as we began to tour local assisted livings. My heart was just so heavy and I didn't want to feel like I was "just putting her in a home." As we entered the Bridge Assisted Living, I was met with colorful landscape and several residents enjoying their garden and the fountain outside as they socialized. The residents were friendly and greeted my mom. As we walked in for the tour, the general manager Brian cheerfully introduced himself and the activity director. I was very impressed by the size of the room and the variety of activities they had to offer. It was important to me to feel like she would have options of things to do. There was bingo, exercise classes, trivia nights, various games, bible studies, Karaoke, and various other groups that came to entertain. While we were there, a group of kids were there playing instruments for the residents and my mom absolutely loved to listen to them. We got to meet the private Chef who I was very impressed by. They took into account all of my mothers dietary restrictions with ease. She uses a walker to get around, and the building was very easy to move around for her. This was an issue for her at my house. After consideration and prayer, my mom and I decided that this was the best place for her. I just wanted some peace of mind that she would be happy. The friendly staff and upbeat building helped ease my worries. They were very accommodating with my special requests and now call with updates all the time. I know that this is long but I wanted to write this to anyone who is going through the worries I was and for them to know that this is the place that eases those anxieties. However, no place is perfect though. If I had to give a complaint it would be with the TV systems. I will admit a lot of that is operator error on my moms part haha! But the manager Brian took time out of his day to come in and help her find the channels she wanted which I was very grateful for. The Bridge Assisted Living was far nicer then any of the other buildings in the area on the inside and honestly on the outside as well. It was very well decorated and seasoned which helped my mom feel at home. No facility is perfect, but this one is pretty close. I never thought I would be on board with assisted livings but this place had a solution for every single worry I had. I highly recommend

Think twice before sending your loved ones here. As soon as their care starts to become too…read moredemanding, they will give you little notice that they cannot return home to their apartment. My father was in skilled nursing at NHC Maury transitional care (horrible place) for 10 days. Director and nurse at the Bridge assessed him and said he needed additional skilled nursing care before he returns back to the Bridge. I paid out of pocket for an additional 2 weeks at Lifecare next door in addition to his rent at the Bridge. When he was ready to be discharged, they said he cannot return because they cannot handle his additional needs. I live out of state and had 4 days to find a memory care place, move part of his belongings into storage, and move him into memory care. No mention to the month prior when he was in skilled nursing that there was a possibility of him not being allowed to return. My dad's neurologist even said they have patients that are worst off then him that are residing at the Bridge. Make sure to advocate for your loved ones because senior care is extremely fraudulent and corrupt industry.
