Dr. Blalock has been my doctor for years. We moved to Frankfort four years ago but continue to see Dr. Blalock.

Took my dad to the doctor and seen a physician assistant named Adams. My dad had had a fall a few weeks ago and felt again and hit his head I told the doctor and asked if he can order a mri and Ct scan he said the Ct scan will be the first but it wasn't an emergency so they will call me sometime next week for an appointment, my father got worst as the day went on and we ended up taking him to the hospital. They did a Ct scan and they found two blood clots in the head, we are two hours away from home where he was transported to a neurosurgeon. If I would of waited like that the physician assistant (doctor) said my dad would of probably had died from it. I would not recommend for anyone to see any physician from Village medical they are awful and could possibly cause someone's love one to die because they have no clue what they are doing or just don't care read more

I am extremely disappointed with the staff (front desk, nurses, doctors) at this office. To start, there is zero communication between the staff. For example, I have visited the office to pick up paperwork (after first calling to see if it is ready) to find that the paperwork was NOT ready. This has happened at least 3 times. The people that work here are downright incompetent. Even worse, the medical staff are not properly trained to handle issues beyond the common cold and flu. If you are experiencing a serious medical issue, please take the time to go to a better facility. read more

This place is a joke. I came in with a major shoulder injury. Had to tell 4 different people what was wrong with me. None of them communicated at all. I was given an X-ray. Put in a sling was told that no bones were broken and they didn't know what was wrong with me. "Probably just bruising" and gave me a weeks prescription and sent me on my merry way. 2 weeks later it's even worse. I go to a different doctor to get an MRI and I have a torn rotator cuff. I will never go to this clinic ever again. read more

This place is great! One of the doctors father even cared for my great grandparents for years. They have great hours to avoid unnecessary er visits, and do many services such as labs, ultrasounds on site. The staff seen very caring. read more

This place is terrible!! You can never get anyone from the office staff to call you back. Office managers will not return calls or help with issues. They add charges to your bill for services that do not give. Avoid and go somewhere else that is willing to help patients. read more

I appreciate all of the staff at Primary Care. They are efficient, caring, and knowledgeable. Their expanded office hours and in-house pharmacy are both helpful. Twice, our family came suddenly to Primary Care with unexpected medical needs. Each time, the doctors and staff offered us good attention. I like their handy parking lot, and clean facilities. I was referred to Dr. Gupta when my primary care doctor retired. The receptionist charged me $99. before I saw Dr. Gupta because she claimed my medicare may not have met the deductible yet even when I told her it had. It was June so of course my deductible had been met. The nurse practitioner took my history, bp, heart rate, weight/weight, and problems. Dr. Gupta walked in with my chart spent 15 minutes in the room without listening to anything I told her then left. For example, I explained that my spleen had been ruptured during a colonoscopy by a dr. in Nashville and I was leery about them so required that she refer me to a doctor practicing in a hospital. She referred me to have several tests done by other doctors in their practice. Exactly what I did not want. I requested the colonoscopy be done last in the series of tests she wanted to schedule. She scheduled it first. I had specifically requested that any invasive tests be done by doctors practicing in the hospital's medical arts building in case of problems, but she said she likes to refer to the doctors in their clinic. I am guessing that is to overcharge medicare some more, but then my visit has left a bad taste in my mouth about the place. If you want to be treated like a piece of meat, this is the place to go. Fifteen minutes of her time/ 30 minutes of the nurse practitioner on a computer and in addition to the $99. fee up front, they billed medicare $300! Highway robbery for the most lacking doctor visit in years. DON'T DO IT. read more

The service at the Murray Primary Care continues to go down hill as time passes. I've been a client at the Murray Primary Care for nearly 8 years, with Dr. Bob Hughes as my primary physician. The constant scheduling conflicts, pure lack of empathy, and poor doctor service is laughable. I go to him for one minor prescription. I have no other ailments or issues that I see him for, and no issues whatsoever with my current prescription. My script ran out and I needed to see him to continue with refills. My one prescription is something important that can't be stopped abruptly. I went in to make an appointment and he was on vacation for two weeks. I requested to see a nurse practitioner to give me a month refill to hold me over until I could visit with Dr. Hughes. I didn't realize it at the time, but I was only given a two-week prescription. So I had to schedule another appointment. There was only one available appointment a week later, giving me a 7-day lapse in my prescription. When I arrived for this appointment it had been canceled that day without notice. I was finally able to make an appointment the following week (extra time added to my lapse in medication). I arrived 20 minutes before my scheduled time and only waited 15-20 minutes before being called (not too bad). After being seen by a nurse, I waited in the patient room for 1-hour and 15 minutes without seeing anyone. Dr. Hughes finally came in, was in the room for less than 30 seconds (since I'm having zero issues with my medicine), said he'd send a nurse in to process my script info for my pharmacy. I then waited over 45 minutes before I saw anyone to send my info to my pharmacy. So I waited over 2-hrs for less than a minute of someone's time? I understand that a doctors office can be busy and that unexpected events happen, but this sort of lack of care seems too common now. As well as unnecessary extra visits (more money out of my pocket) and short turnarounds for a refill confirmation on a simple prescription with no complications (another visit required and more of my money spent). read more

A HUGE hassle to get refills for non-narcotic medications. They don't respond to my call or to the pharmacy, they just don't call it in. This place is very poorly managed without the necessary standards in place to give basic continued care. I have talked with a few others who quit going to the facility for the same reason. read more

I went to primary care for over a year. As of today I will be going to a new doctor in town. I have never in my life had so many doctors be so interested in JUST making money. Everytime I was there I had blood work, stool labs, and CT scans. I'm only 24 years old, I dont need new blood panels every two weeks. Beyond that, I went in for a lack of energy and Dr. Addams prescribed me Butalbital, which is a highly addictive barbiturate, sedative. He told me it "Had a bunch of caffeine" in it... It has 25 miligrams. I took one dose and ended up drooling on myself, then slept for 13 hours. 1 year later, I go to see him in pain....He prescribes me butalbital again, even though it gave me severe reactions the first time. Then his nurse calls me back ( 7 hours later.) and tells me he can write ibuprofen 800mg for me...........That will do nothing for pain, and they know that. I can appreciate that the majority of the people in my age group who claim to be in pain, may be lying in attempts to obtain pain killers....However, I have over a year and a half of history with this doctor, including not one, not two, but 3 times he misdiagnosed a stomach condition and put me through 3 different unnecessary and painful treatment plans, for conditions it turns out i didn't even have. Never in my life have i seen such "Drive-thru medical care" in my life. I will be finding a new physician immediately. The entire staff (I've seen 4 different doctors there in 2 years) is completely uninterested in your health, and most are extremely unfriendly. Stay away from this place, it's garbage. Go to Murray medical, or ANY other doctor in the area... It's not worth it there. read more
