Anchor stores include Macy's, Von Maur, Dick's, and Barnes and Noble. A movie theater is a walk across the large parking lot. About 21 casual restaurants sell foods and beverages. I have shopped at this mall off and on for over 10 years. I shop mostly for women's clothing, foods, and gifts. During my most recent shopping trip, I felt happy with the condition of the mall and with the selection and prices of merchandise. Overall, I think that South Hills Village is one of the best malls in the Pittsburgh area.

No "real" anchor store, probably the busiest place here is the Starbucks and its drive through. Located right next to Chartiers Valley High School, it's a busy place when parents drop off and pick up the kids. Other stores here are Moe's Southwest Grill, SuperCuts, Tennis Town, Salad Time, Pittsburgh Bottleshop Cafe, Papa Gallo, and, a UPS Store. Just another typical strip mall in Pittsburgh.

The mall is nicely built but has very little to offer. I normally use it if I went the wrong direction or I want to avoid cutting over 2 lanes of traffic.

There are certain code numbers in the corners of some items, i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4... which will give you various additional amounts of percentage of that price tag. But you need to know what you're looking at because the sales always vary. This place is not fancy and it is serve yourself. It is a very different experience than going shopping at Dick's. It truly also feels like they just plot a store into an empty spot in a strip mall, and it never took the time to make any physical updates to the space itself. The bathrooms are disgusting. If you want a cheap place to find athletic gear, this is the place, but be warned that it really is just shoes and clothes. You'll still have to go elsewhere for your sporting equipment.

I stopped in today just to peep around and see what they had. They had clothing sections for Men, Women, and Youth, and also shoes too. They also had some sporting equipment. Nothing really caught my eye, and it didn't seem like prices were any cheaper than usual, I don't know, maybe they were. Admittedly, I am not a very big shopper. I hung my items up so the attendant could count them and she noticed I had a Starbucks drink and told me I had to either leave it in the cart or with her at the counter (GROSS!). I definitely wasn't doing that, so she wouldn't let me try the clothes on. She was super rude about it too. I told her that I walked around the store with it, so what was the difference if I brought it in the fitting room?? I could have spilled it anywhere in the store and it would have had to have been cleaned up. If drinks aren't allowed, they should post it. It was just an off-putting experience and I told her that I'm a grown up and I can handle having a drink. In the past, I also had a bad experience with this attendant. She's miserable. To sum it up, I left the store without trying on the clothes. The line is always massively long when I go in here anyway. I doubt that I will go back to this location again.

I left the store, then had to cut my errands short because they were done in 30 minutes. Didn't take anything. 100% didn't even look in the bags. If you're not buying, be honest about it. Thankfully no trees were harmed in the making of this shopping center, as it was zoned industrial previously (and previously on this site we had Star City Movie Theater, and before that, a Steel Mill). Firebirds was one of the first restaurants to open here, along with Primanti Bros., The Milkshake Factory, and more recently Bartram House Bakery. Other stores here include GNC (vitamins and supplements), a studio, and a few other things I don't remember. Coming soon will be Raising Canes, a pizza shop, and a Taco Bell (next to Dunkin, which is probably not exactly in the Piazza, but close enough for Govt. Work). There is a green play area and a splash pad here also, but the slash pad was inoperable last time I was here. Can I give a Cheer and a Jeer?!?! Yes!
