I enjoy banking with Chase, however this location needs to address its sole ATM. This morning I went to deposit some cash, I sat for probably 2-3 minutes waiting for it to actually accept the cash, and it took about 7-8 more minutes to accept the deposit and finalize the deposit. If you're like me, you probably wait until the ATM is completely done. While this might be a minuscule amount of time in consideration, imagine waiting this amount of time at night, feeling vulnerable. It's unacceptable performance for me, and I'm sure others would agree. Hopefully Chase services their equipment! read more

Just going through the process of working with the death of my father. Just wanted so advice from the staff there about next steps of his checking account and savings account. Unfortunately, go assigned to the most sullen, unhelpful staff at this location and walked out of there even more sad as dealing with my father's death. Then to come to find all accounts are frozen without access or explanation. Whoever this bozo was did not even try to help us work through the proscess or give advice. I can see why this branch is so lowly rated. Will definitely be closing my credit card account we've had for over 25 years due to this sad interaction. read more

I went there this morning because I was close to this branch, it is not the branch I normally go to. The staff member "Vanessa" was very rude, pushy and extremely nosey. All I wanted her to do was take care of what I went in there for and not to be drilled about my personal finances and what I was doing. Your banker Mr Justin Moore could use a lesson in interpersonal skills. My sister had reason to go into this branch in order to close an account for my deceased parents. They both passed away in the last month - 3months respective of each other. She called in advance to verify that she could do so at this branch and was told what items to bring. (death certificates and the trust docs.). Was also told no appt required. Upon getting there she was told only 'the banker' could help and that she needed an appt. When she relayed the details of her phone call, they summoned 'the banker ' Justin Moore to help her. He told her he could only give her a few minutes of his valuable time w/o an appt. She shows him all the necessary documents and asks to close the account. He then tells her he will need to call someone to find out how to. Not once does he express condolences of any nature. Nothing! Just that he will call her when he gets an answer. Before she could get home he left a vm that she will need to bring in the exact documents she had in hand. He was so incompetent that he never paid attention to her having them with her. Nor did he care. So very rude. We will get the task accomplished but, not at this branch. Need to deposit cash into the account. ATM was down :(... apparently hit by lightening. Thank goodness I am here during business hours. I just need to make a deposit and only have my ATM card (no account number) and the dogs in the car. Drive Thru to the rescue. They were fast, friendly and I not only got a receipt back, but there were bones for the dogs... Now that is what I call Austin service. Want that down home personal bank feeling from a large bank? Then this Chase branch is your place. Apparently, this branch was formerly a WaMu bank (according to my ex-GF who was the WaMu VP of Corp Comm ...and also banks at this branch). The WaMu personal touch is still alive and well here. I happened into this branch after Wells Fargo (across the street) served up the final piece of straw that broke the camel's back and essentially torpedoed our 14 year relationship with them (WF). My initial business deposit was less than $10K; but the business bankers at this Chase branch treated me as if I were depositing $100K. Having been in business for nearly 20 years, there was a certain way I liked things done. And Vivian & Leticia (Business bankers) were more than accommodating to get things setup almost exactly to my liking and even suggested some options I had not thought about to give me more financial flexibility for my small business. Where possible, they waived setup fees for my accounts. And while there was a slight hiccup with the Chase Paymentech setup; the Chase business bankers sorted things out before it adversely impacted my business. Chase even had the Director of Paymentech reachout to me to confirm that I felt that my needs had been addressed. Notwithstanding the exceptional service I've gotten from the business bankers; the personal bankers also go above and beyond whenever possible. In fact, I just happened to tell my personal banker the other day something about "when I was in the US Air Force" ...to which he quickly offered that he was going to waive my monthly bank fees because I had honorably served in the military. Apparently, Chase gives military and ex-military free accounts; something I didn't know and wasn't looking for ...but these Chase staffers are always looking to help their customers maximize the value that Chase can offer them. To top it all off, Chase always has cookies for the dogs that come to visit; however, several months ago, Ziggy was on a diet and couldn't have any cookies, but he could have carrots. Diane (receptionist) started stocking carrots in the staff refrigerator ... so Ziggy could have a treat when we made our weekly trip to the bank. Now that is going above and beyond. read more

Called into the branch to ask if you questions. A very nice lady answered the phone, I believe her name was Jennifer. The phone rang maybe one time before she picked up. She took her time to answer all my questions and was patient with me and even offered to set up an appointment to come in to figure out a solution to my questions. Fast, friendly, always fully staffed. This branch is located at a busy intersection, so of course it is always busy. But I've never waited longer than 2 minutes to make a deposit or withdrawal. The employees are always very quick and efficient, which is nice considering how frequently the employees at this branch have changed over the past couple of years. Chase Bank is the worst bank I have never encountered, and I have banked with many, many banks. I received a solicitation from Chase Bank to open a Total Checking with direct deposit and they would give me $300. It also offered me another $200 if I opened a savings account with Chase. So, I agreed to do both. But, you can't do it online, you must go to the bank and wait in long line to get the service. I endured that and waited long hours and got my account opened. But, I wanted to transfer the money from my investment bank to Chase Bank. When I tried to do that to get the $200 offer, they froze my login. So, now I have a login that's not only for my new checking, new savings, and my two Chase Visa, the online access is frozen. Talking about bad customer service, Chase is number one on my list in bad banking. read more

This is my local Chase branch and I can't say enough good things about it. Most of my banking is done electronically, so I only need to visit the branch for little things. Mostly for gold $1 pieces for my kids' tooth fairy needs. I've also had to replace my worn debit card, withdraw money in specific denominations, and wire money before. Every time I enter the branch I'm greeted warmly and directed to a desk. The employees are *always* kind and helpful. Each transaction has gone smoothly and quickly, but without feeling rushed. It literally feels like they are happy to see me. So either Chase is an amazing place to work or they only hire consummate actors. ;) The last time I was in I had my 5-year-old son with me. The lady who helped me was the epitome of discreet, even though my son was engrossed in a very exciting game of Angry Birds Rio. After 12 years in business with two bars in Austin, a town known for drinking we were rejected on a $10,000 line of credit. ! I have paid Chase Bank over $50,000 in fees over the past 7 years and nothing in return except charges. And on top of that, their Austin "sales rep" for loans gloated with my rejection letter. Can you believe that? Actually taking pleasure in sending me a rejecting letter. You be the judge. Drinks by the glass have profits exceeding jewlery stores, yet it is still a tight margin industry.
