Yelp hours say they open at 8:30a Hours on the front door say they open at 9a Google hours say their drive thru opens at 8:30a It's 8:41a and they're still not open Manchaca and Slaughter location ATMS aren't accepting cash deposits. Member Services say they open at 8am, I've been on hold for 20 mins and no one has answered. I left work to just do a cash deposit and it's taking way too long. Very frustrating read more

The folks here are really nice, but I don't recommend getting a mortgage with them, since they won't sell it, and they are not equipped to manage. My experience: - Got Mortgage, all good - Made large principal payment, so could recalculate the payments - Emailed them to redo, sent all the info, no response back - Two weeks later called in to figure out what was going on, and learned that they did not respond because I did not mention that I made the principal payment already. - Responded back that I had made the payment, no response, but I was told they would not respond. - Two weeks later I get my new recalculation and instructions on how to proceed. - Then I get someone else's name/address/loan questions on their loan from the same team, they accidentally sent me their private info - Finally get the payment info, the bank was great about notarizing, and then sent in. - Get notification it is all done, great! - Go to the portal, wrong info still in there, told it would be updated for the first payment of November 1st. Guess what? It is November 2nd, it is not updated, and so they took out the wrong payment. Man, I sure wish they would sell my loan... read more

This review is for the real estate lending department, as I haven't yet had much experience with the personal banking side of things. I did extensive research to try and find the best place to get a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) so we could do some home remodeling. After phone calls with every credit union in central Texas, United Heritage really stood out to me. Their terms were reasonable, but more than that, their staff is truly remarkable. Regina, Lisa and Michelle are a power team. And each one of them is so personable, gracious and thorough. It's possible that I might've saved a quarter percent somewhere else (honestly, that's debatable) but the communication style and overall ease of doing business with United Heritage was super appealing. In the end, the people are what tipped the scale for me. In a world where red tape and impersonal, automated systems are the norm, the warmth and expertise of the folks in the real estate lending department made all the difference. This is a credit union that some friends who now are temporarily living in CA turned me onto. When you walk into UHCU, you feel like they know your name and care about you (they might and definitely seem to). "Banking" here isn't going to cost you and arm and a leg (v. the mega-banks). It's a very unique and awesome feeling to admit that I LOVE going to my bank. That's not a feeling I ever thought I'd have before making stops at the UHCU branch on Slaughter. Banking is a necessity; thus, taking care of banking activities simply aren't designed to be fun...or so I thought. I recently suffered a difficult injury that has impeded many of my basic abilities, such as walking. Running errands, including banking, has been a source of anxiety for me. That changed when I met Daniq. He immediately went out of his way to showcase his member service through patience and exceptional kindness. He could see that I was struggling, and he did everything possible to make me feel comfortable, even when it would take me way too long to simply walk across the lobby. He made me laugh and put me at ease. I was so happy to have a friendly face amidst my daily errands that I was blown away when another friendly face joined the team: Cassandra. Cassandra offered the same vibrant kindness with one of the most welcoming smiles I've ever seen. I have never seen Cassandra not smiling, and that is beyond encouraging to me as a member. I can see that no matter what else may be going on in the banking world, Cassandra is somehow still happy to see me. That really makes a difference. Not long after meeting Cassandra, I met Vivienne. Vivienne absolutely embraces the same exceptional member service I had come to experience with Daniq and Cassandra. Vivienne welcomed me as though I was part of the team, and regardless of what random banking question I present, she patiently finds and explains the answers to me. I was truly enjoying my visits with these three when I was once again blown away by another incredible enhancement: Jordan. I could go on for hours about Jordan. Since I've seen her join this team, that entire branch has had a palpably positive change. As I've said, I always enjoyed seeing the previously mentioned faces, but Jordan's addition to the team seemed to add a level cohesion that's so rarely found anywhere, let alone at a banking branch. From the first time I saw Jordan in the branch, the entire team was noticeably excited to have her there. Jordan's lively and outgoing personality gives the branch such a positive energy. Everything has felt so at ease that I find myself ready to jump into all the banking choices I had been putting off: opening accounts, credit cards, etc. All the activities that normally cause angst and concern are so much more pleasant to discuss and consider when you have so many faces you can trust in one place. I've also recently had the pleasure of meeting Cecily and Justin, and, just as I would expect from this branch, they're simply great. Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I've had incredibly great service from a gentleman named Curt at the Slaughter branch, but I haven't seen him there in several months. I'm pretty confident that UHCU Slaughter is the ultimate branch for any bank, but I know UHCU has some other gems in their mix. I've had the fortune of remotely working with Martin and Nanette as well, and they were also incredibly kind and helpful. With banking being a topic of discomfort in many ways these days, I can't say enough how great it feels to have a whole branch full of people that make it so pleasant that you actually want to do more banking. this place is so picky. my passport was expired by 4 DAYS i had every thing else i needed i had my social security and noooOooOoO all i wanted was a debit account and it was clear that i was who i was. absolutely garbage. when we called another bank that had visas they didn't even need my passport or my social security. what do i need next time a blood sample? my family tree? huh. would not recommend EVER read more
