Good banking when the systems r up. They had an outage Wednesday 7/26/23, ALL DAY. Set me back with my business, but I persevered.

My father and I came in yesterday around 1pm and we went to this teller who was working on the farthest right (I wished I took her name) but she was damn bitchy about our transaction. She was like "oh but you need your fathers' pin card because that's the primary identification " and not him in person with his valid CA ID. She did not provide solution rather it was important for her to outline the wrong. Poor communication and no acknowledgment of the customer's concerns. She HAD to be right. We are going to close our account soon with this chase bank. This is one of the worst bank centers I've been to. There's no help here. Really bad customer service. The tellers will benefit from taking some customer service training. Disappointing. read more

I came in the other day with my husband to deposit wedding gifts. We had a lot of different bills, checks and travelers checks. Our teller was Steve and he was absolutely the nicest and most patient guy ever. He even accommodated my weird request for photos (of the money) before giving it all to the bank. I've been dropping my checks in Chase since I was 16 years old-- that's 14 years of loyalty. I am a low maintenance customer and rarely come in anything. Plus even more so since I am a new mom and have zero time. I haven't stepped into a chase bank in forever but the one time I actually need something in the past 14 years-- they couldn't make one minor waiver on my cashier check today. The bank teller, Beverly Lemus, who assisted me never once smiled or asked how I was doing. That's fine- I'm here for business too, I came to get a cashiers check. I asked her if she could waive the cashiers check, and she said, "Why? You paid it last time." Literally what she said. Ignorant statement. So what if I did? I'm running tight on money now and I even told her I was pulling money for my home and that every dollar counts. Not only can she not process the transaction quickly, but she couldn't find a manager. So more of my time is wasted, then the manager finally comes- Nadine, tells me that she can't waive the $8 because they are being closely monitored and regulated. Also, supposedly it's a consistency problem. I've been in customer service for 3 years where I dealt with stock market news and closely regulated information. Sounds to me that Nadine doesn't want to get in trouble for helping me out. Such poor customer service. She even told me I need to upgrade my account if I want free services. I just told her I'd close my account and go to Wells Fargo. There, I know they don't charge for cashiers check because my friend had done one and told me they were free for the amount of money that I had in the bank. Even after telling the manager Nadine that I was closing my account- she didn't even bother to say anything else. She had no care at all. Like, really? If they're gonna treat me like that after how long I've been there, then it's time to move on. Alright, I'll take my hard earned money elsewhere, Chase. Obviously, Chase doesn't care about the people helping them make money. I urge you all to avoid this branch. Actually better yet-- close your accounts with Chase and find a bank that will WORK FOR YOU. read more

Came in the evening before a holiday (July 4th) and I came in pretty much last minute to urgently close out a bank account and open a new one. I felt so bad doing this last minute on them but the staff was so friendly about it. They quickly helped me out and took care of all my concerns. I am not a Chase customer, but I was instructed to drop off my final Car Lease payment to any Chase branch location, this just so happened to be the closest to my home. Wasted 45 minutes in line, and another 15 minutes of the teller who couldn't figure out how to accept the payment. Finally she tells me the Banker told her she can't accept and if I want I can wait to speak with the Banker. I had already asked the check in lady if I was in the right line to process this final payment and she said yes. Now an hour of my time is wasted and I didn't have more time to speak with the Banker because I have to pick up my son from school. This is RIDICULOUS. It's ridiculous that I can't submit this payment online in the first place, and even more so that this Chase branch is so understaffed they have customers waiting for hours and then turn them away because they can't figure it out. Needed to transfer funds to another bank and was told Chase can't do that? Went to another branch and was told about Zelle which was associated with my Chase account. Was able to transfer money at no cost. The teller at this branch didn't want to help me or suggest options where the teller at the Norwalk location went above and beyond!! Corporate needs to really reevaluate these only "one teller" during peak times. Several people left from waiting 15 minutes because there was only one teller. Machines don't give the face to face interaction customers are looking for. It needs to change. I will be very disappointed if I am forced to take my business somewhere just like everyone else is doing. Lastly, when I was at the window the teller Beverly very bluntly talking with her co worker (who didn't have a name tag) about a customer they were just dealing with. Using words such as "she was trying to give me attitude...are they still waiting?....ugh...." As I said really considering switching banks. I hope someone sees this that cares. read more

I love this bank!!! I have had some great customer service here. They are friendly and willing to listen and deal with the 2 situations that I have had. I still remember when this was a Washington Mutual bank and had the one on one islands instead of having the tellers behind the prison glass window. I really do miss that layout. Just left this branch and I have to say the wait time is RIDICULOUS. I am patient and don't mind waiting but it really urkes me when they're are a lot of people waiting and there's employees talking and instead of helping speed the process they just say hi. Horrible services !!!! My mom and I Bank here as private clients and every time we come in there is no private client employee to assist us ! Apparently they have only one private client employee in this entire branch and it always seems to be there day off which is totally unacceptable!!!! So this was a great switch over from Bank of America.. the employees here are so helpful, knowledgeable and pretty relaxed. Could it be because they know what the heck they're doing? In and out of here in no time and I did three things, make a withdrawal, get checks printed and get a new bank card. I have a couple chase accounts and when I go in to ask about various questions and find out why there may have been a problem, I was met with lack of information and attitude that was rather unprofessional. The worst experience I've had at any Chase bank. They had me waiting for an hour and realized that they were calling people were came in after me. I talked to the greeter and told him about the issue and said they would call me next. I waited for 10 more minutes and the banker ended up calling another customer who came after me. They really need to be organized with their sign in list. I suggest they do it digital and have a tv that say who is next. read more

I have gone to several Chase Bank branches throughout LA to make deposits for my boss and the one recurring theme at all of them seems to be the lack of tellers. This branch had two tellers at 2:30pm the day after a major holiday. It seems like two is the maximum number of tellers. Ridiculous! read more

Busy, long line on a Friday, expected... But with only 3 tellers open...from a customers view, it is VERY hard to see open tellers when at the front of line. Especially because a pole is blocking 3 teller Windows inside. They need blinking signals and dinging noises like at TJMAXX lol now that's called service :) Anyways... After waiting in the long line for 20 minutes, the teller said I needed to be in the banker line... So I then waited another 20 for the banker line since I lost my card. Not my fault, or theirs. The company itself I've had several issues with over the last month and half but the customer service is amazing at this branch. Went in today to withdraw and Cindy and I made small talk. She was super sweet and informed me this branch makes ATM cards. I've been without a card since the last week of January and Chase has ultimately dropped the ball with me as a customer. Cindy let me know it's not a big deal to get a card made and it made my day! She's a doll and has a beautiful smile! Customer service like hers makes me feel like I'm being looked after! read more

The manager Norma Hernandez needs to step up her game. the employees (not all of them) are incompetent to do their job regarding customer service. I came in at 5:15 pm to open a business account. as I'm walking in I told the hostess why I came in. as I sit in the waiting area. at 545 I am called only for this employee to tell me that they can't open or help me today because they were about to close. They could have told me that from the beginning. I will choose a different bank to do my business with. Went to this bank today. Was very disappointed they got rid of their merchant line and had only 2 tellers open. Had to make a quick deposit. Waited about 10 minutes and the line never moved. Had to leave to get to a meeting. The silly thing, is there is about 6 deposit machines in the middle of the bank. None were being used (if you go there, don't use them , they will short your deposit). You would think if someone just wanted to make a deposit, they would use the ATM outside. Whoever thought those machines were a good idea should be fired. Very disappointed with Chase trying to cut the cost of hiring employees and not putting customers first. read more

I'm a very patient person and I work in customer service so for me to be writing a comment means there is a serious issue.. I just started coming to this location for my business banking needs and every single time I come in I have a 30 minute wait and then it's takes the cashier 10 minutes to help me with one deposit and sometimes a little change order. They are always short staffed and it's seems that people are always waiting and upset while at this branch. I think this branch would benefit from some hiring. The tellers are kind but they just have to move faster.. The manager is a taller Latino man , and everything he's on the teller line he seems to be going just as slow as everyone else. Leadership by example is huge and this branch reflects him. Anytime I need a change order I can never get the full order.. It's very frustrating. I can understand a few off days or short staffed days but I come in here 5 times a week. I just recently started visiting the branch on Lakewood and rosecrans, and I never have spent more that 10 minutes max at that branch.. Customer here are always pissed off and the tellers seem a bit overwhelmed and frustrated. read more

A client of mine recently made an offer on one of my listings and had been working with Noemi Llamas at this branch for his home loan. She told me we had loan approval and could close early, so I told my sellers we are all set to go. When the time came to actually close early, she continued to tell me docs would be in escrow on Monday, they never arrived, then she said she was working to rush it through with her supervisor and that docs would be done the next day.....again nothing. She wouldn't call me back, return my text messages for days and she wouldn't contact her client, my buyer with information and she wouldn't communicate with the escrow company. I finally got the name of her supervisor and he was marginally better. Instead of the escrow closing early, as she state we could, it closed two weeks late. Chase did little or nothing to expedite anything, and it was their fault for the delay. If you are considering this branch for your next loan. RUN.......go anywhere but here. Not just bad service......horrible service. I've been selling real estate for almost 29 years and I know a good lender when I see one, but would never refer anyone to this bank, yet alone this loan representative. read more
