The ATM was down which was unfortunate, so I went in to withdraw what I needed with one of the employees. As I was speaking to her regarding my transaction, a bald man who was also working there started loudly mocking her, saying that he hates it when he's trying to do his job and she's speaking on the phone next to him at the same time stating numbers. He didn't quit and kept going, talking about her right in front of her (and myself) in the middle of our transaction almost as to get some kind of revenge for how annoyed he is that she answers the phone at the same time he is also working? The entire interaction was so uncomfortable and bizarre. I wanted to say something but as a woman also felt like I didn't want to engage with this angry man. I'm still feeling badly for not sticking up to her over a week later. I have written to TD as well and hope someone does something about the hostile work environment this man is creating.

We got into the store at around 4:40 PM, waited on the line and when we got to the representative, they refused to exchange the money due to the vault being closed at 4:45PM. They said that I needed to be there before 4:45 to be able to exchange the coins for cash. This was on a Friday, and considering most people work during Monday-Friday and also usually work during the hours that banks are open, I took off of work early to be able to get to the bank before they closed. I was told that my transaction could not happen, even when I was in the store and on line during the normal business hours, but did not get to a representative until a little before 5PM (I remember it was before 5pm that I got to the representative since she asked me to wait for a minute so she can ask her coworker to close the doors once the clock hit 5PM.) This was very upsetting, especially since there was an employee (the same employee she asked to close the doors at 5PM) who was walking around doing other tasks, and they even helped the person on line BEHIND me on line before I even got to the counter. There were multiple people on line after me as well, so to be told they couldn't help us but were still taking clients is ridiculous. I am definitely going to be closing my account with this company and switching to a new bank due to the carelessness and terrible service I have received at this location. I have a recording of the end of the interaction if anyone from management wants to reach out and see how the interaction was handled.

To whom it may concern. First off I'd like to express my disgust and utmost dissatisfaction with…read morethe services that this company provides. They unexpectedly closed my account while I was out shopping for groceries and claimed that they had reason to believe that a fraudulent transaction occurred. They supposedly sent my incoming unemployment benefit check back to the department of labor and sent the remaining balance to my home address. Even after I carefully examined my bank statement and assured them that I was responsible for every single transaction, the representative still insisted and told me the that account closures are irreversible. This incident happened almost 3 weeks ago and I just received a confirmation that the check was mailed out today. She informed me that I needed to request a new debit card from the department of labor (a process that could take up to two weeks if your lucky enough to get through). They "play" with the needy and most vulnerable population. In my opinion that's no different from a caretaker who spits in the face of an elderly patient or a child care provider who secretly abuses the children in their care. They disabled my account for absolutely no good reason other than to boost their own ego or to satisfy some quota or in an attempt to steal or keep my earned benefits. They claim that their biggest concern is the customer's privacy and security yet they go though grave lengths to make things as difficult as possible. A simple phone call or email advising a customer about a potential security concern and the option to retrieve their much needed funds or a new debit card at a local office would've been sufficient. Instead they choose to tease, manipulate and belittle people in need to make themselves feel and look "better" or in retaliation because someone above them does the same thing to them. It's ok, I'll go hungry for another day. I understand how this works. As sure as I am that this message will somehow magically make its way through the airwaves and to its intended recipient, I know someone above us is watching and will make certain that I eat. Next time, I'll be sure to use a personal banking account.

I walk into his cubicle and explain to him that I Just wanted to make sure the two Geico payments I made went through in full without using my overdraft. "Oh, I'm new here, I'm in training and I can't help you with that" Alright, I understand that but why call me over and ask if I needed help when you obviously can't. He told me I needed to speak to a teller. I wait for one, I ask her the same question and she said, "Oh no, it's fine." Then I ask her about a previous withdrawal (date and amount) that's when the blank look came out. Another inexperienced teller came over and said the teller couldn't help me with that and she comes out from behind the counter to help me. Ha ha. We walk into another cubicle. I proceed to question her about a 4700.00 withdrawal I took. I wanted to know the date it showed I made the withdrawal. She's looking at her computer for what I thought was a long time. She finally saids "I can't find a 47.00 withdrawal." Well I tell her I'm not looking for a 47.00 withdrawal but a 4700.00 one. She finally finds it. Well that took all of 30 minutes. The next day I go to my regular Citibank on Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage and speak to Donna who is so knowledgeable in every banking question I've ever had. There was a problem with my duplicate Geico payment after all and i wanted a verification on my withdrawal cause after the experience I had at the other incompetent bank I questioned everything. In less than 5 minutes I was done. It was against my better judgment to go to the East Meadow branch but that morning I was closer to that one.
