While on vacation, I stopped in to use the Chase ATM. This location is in a building that is either vintage or constructed to look like a vintage building with its use of Texas limestone on the exterior. Inside there is a spacious lobby and a friendly customer service representative directed me to the machine. She also apologized for technical problems with the ATM in the drive-up facility. I have 4 accounts at Chase, around $250,000 avg balance, and process over $40,000 monthly through a business account. Not huge, but it's my duty to take care of it. They ask occasionally for more of my business. That will never happen! Because business accounts cannot have a TOD, I need a second signature on the business account. This will require me to drive 300 miles to McAllen, because both the new signer and I have to do this in person together. Carlos, at the Fredericksburg, Tx branch set it up for 3pm, Feb 28. Both of us signers needed it to be at 4pm, and Carlos said he would take care of it by phone and call me right back--same day, as their system would not allow it, but it could be done with a call from him to his colleague in McAllen. Well, he never called back. I've since called him and his colleague AT LEAST SEVEN TIMES. It's impossible to even get through to either branch, as all calls are forwarded to "CUSTOMER SERVICE" Customer Service is in INDIA and they cannot forward calls back to the branches. Nor it seems can they get messages through to Carlos in Fredericksburg or Emanual Lopez in McAllen. CHASE, abolish your customer service department, because the fact that you have a department named so, seems to make you think you have customer service. You do not have customer service. read more

Banker at Virginia branch gave me incorrect information and now my credit is messed up because of it. Customer service is not helpful at all, they didn't offer anything but an apology like that's suppose to solve everything. When I talked with cooperate they telling me there's nothing they can do and they are sorry. I applied for a business credit card and before she pulled my credit is ask her what bureau do you pull from she assured me it would be experian I told her she can move forward and I got denied when I got the letter in the mail they pulled from trans union. Always understaffed, ATM is hit or miss most times and monthly fees are ridiculous. Much, much better banking options out there. Avoid this dumpster fire. read more

On the 29th of January a suspicious person tried to gain access to my account at Chase by phone. The same thing occurred twice on February 7th. At that point 12 days had gone by, and I did not receive a notification of this action from Chase. On the 7th of February, I received a text and notification from Chase with a pin code for access to my account. Since I did not perform this action, I called Chase. I had my online account shut down and removed my email address. As is the norm, I was unable to reach the branch by phone, so I started emailing people. I finally receive a call from my Private Client Advisor, I explain the situation and I ask him to put me in touch with the branch manager "Issac". I spoke with Issac, I don't believe he looked at my account because he gave me some bad information explaining that my computer was compromised. He advised me to get my computer scanned by a professional. I explained that my account stated the attempt was made by phone but he ignored that information. He then stated he was going to file a complaint and I should have results within a week. I took my computer to a specialist, had it scanned for malware and it was clean, no malware. That cost me half a day and about 100 dollars. I got a call from the alleged escalation division of the executive branch, and they gave contradictory information from everyone else I spoke to at the branch and on the phone. They were unable to provide me with information that would assure me they were from Chase. I emailed my private client banker and he let me know that Issac had it for action and would let me know if that call came from the executive branch. I have not received any information. I then drive to the branch to reactivate my online account and update my email address. While there, I ask about Issac, he is on vacation. After a week, I contacted my private client banker again by email and he reminded Issac to follow up with me. I still have not heard from him. Today is Feb 20th, 2025. FIND ANOTHER BRANCH read more

I cannot say enough about the incredible team at Chase in Fredericksburg Texas. They are extremely experienced and professional. Wire Fraud is going rampant across the world and it happened to us. If possible, go inside to make your deposits. The drive through is understaffed and incredibly slow. Expect to wait no less than 20 minutes if there are at least 2 other cars in the lanes. read more
